Oh my gosh. My kids, and I, love Brunch Cafe. They food is fantastic, but more importantly, the people are SO NICE. the servers are so sweet and accommodating. I'm the crazy mom lady with 10 requests and flailing hands waving someone down constantly. Between the servers and bussers, we feel so taken care of. Everyone is so attentive and not annoyed with us. The hostesses are always so nice too. Bright decor and so clean all the time. We will be going there for years to come. read more

Nice place if you are in the mood for breakfast food! Well, they do have sandwiches and more, but the main focus is breakfast foods. Closes at 2:30. Good food reasonable prices. Had red velvet french toast, sausages and corned beef hash. Do not recommend the hash - it was burnt on the edges and kind of tasteless. Mom dad the carnitas sandwich dared to try the bacon jam! I really enjoyed eating at the Brunch Cafe in Arlington Heights, so I brought my wife to the one in Kildeer in Deer Park Mall on a Friday, 10am. They were busy, but not packed and we were able to sit immediately. The waitress who sat us looked like she hated her job, put the menus on the table, and walked away. Off to a shaky start. To start, it was loud in there. Noticeably loud. Lots of loud talkers nearby, but I'm not sure if that is the fault of the restaurant. Maybe if we had a bit more space between the tables we wouldn't hear others' conversations and could have our own? I learned some interesting things about the lady next to us and her children's hygiene issues. A server came by and took our drink order in a reasonable amount of time and was pleasant. Decaf for me, hot chocolate for my wife. They arrived pretty quickly as well, but it was downhill from here. Really weak coffee, tasteless, nearly watery, and individual creamers instead of half and half for $3.50. The hot chocolate had a weird, salty taste to it. Not good. A second server came by and I ordered the banana and strawberry crepes and my wife ordered two eggs with bacon and toast. That also came pretty fast, thankfully. The crepes had a weird strawberry syrup on them that tasted pretty gross. They were also not really crepes as much as they were kind of thick like pancakes. They had a kind of "cheap" flavor to them (hard to describe) and were very doughy. I was hoping for more of a thinner crepe, but so it goes. I ate the fruit instead. My wife ordered her eggs "over medium" which means a bit of runny yellow. These were very, very runny. Over easy is being generous. Everything was as runny as the Boston Marathon. Her toast was also actually just two pieces of wheat bread slightly warmed. Not firm or crunchy in the least. Soft wheat bread. Perhaps they're in a bit of a rush in the kitchen? I was waiting for someone to come around and heat my coffee, but that never happened. So one cup of weak coffee in total which is a mixed blessing. My wife also asked for ketchup but instead of a bottle, it was a tablespoon worth in a little cup. Cost savings? We can't have our own ketchup bottle with a label on it? I ate what I could because I hate waste, left a solid tip because I always feel bad for servers serving for a bad kitchen, and we booked it out of there. For the price, there are loads of other breakfast places around. I hope no one tries to reply to this because I don't want to talk about it and I wouldn't eat there again if it was free. read more

My order is cold and a half hour late. This could be the restaurants fault or Uber, I'm not sure which one. I ordered the turkey BLT and to my surprise and disappointment, It is very obvious they use Kraft (fake) American cheese which I can't stand. Busboys cart the buss bins through the restaurant because they are more concerned with being "efficient" and flipping tables than you enjoying your meal. It's incredibly unappetizing to be smelling & seeing the restaurants garbage as you're eating. Making matters worse these bins are the exact height as the tables. I can't believe management hasn't put a stop to this. Especially during a pandemic. Is it really that hard to carry & dispose of garbage away from your patrons? read more

The food was amazing and the service was great. We did have a little issue with the pancakes that it was I gave it a 4 but I had the south beach scramblers and it was delicious. The issue was settled by giving us the meal comp and we appreciated it bc they didn't have to we understand mistakes happen and the way they handled it was great customer service. read more

Unfortunately, the three stars was for our server (Robyn). We were seated, she said hello, and asked if we wanted coffee: as we began to speak about our drink order she walks away. The drink order situation was confusing on her end. She wasn't active in checking her tables so grabbing her attention for water or coffee was rough. At the end, when she hands us our check she said she removed the drinks because she ASSUMED that we were upset with her. Everything would've been okay if service wasn't this bad. read more

My first time visiting Brunch Cafe exceeded my expectations! I ordered avocado toast. They have several versions of it and you could add bacon, an egg and/or goat cheese. It comes with a side of fruit and it was delicious. My friend ordered a veggie omelet and it was also excellent. They have about six tables outside for outdoor seating which was nice. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and the food came out very fast. We will definitely meet there again. Highly recommend! read more

Went in at 1145am on a Wednesday and the restaurant was not crowded. We got sat right away and ordered. Waited for 30 minutes no food server didn't even notice, but she did serve door to people that came in 10 minutes after we ordered. When we said we were leaving the other server and manager working said we only have 2 servers and we're busy. I looked around the restaurant and there was maybe 15 tables sat if that...so if that's busy then I would hate to see how their service is on a weekend. I told the manager tables that got here after we ordered have their food, he came back with, "are you telling me how to run a restaurant?" "Have you ever ran a restaurant?" I said I'm not telling you how to run your restaurant, all I was saying was tables sat after we ordered have their food already. I was dumbfounded that a manager of an establishment would come out and say that, after I was simply stating a fact that tables that were seated after us got their food already. I have served before and I know what it's like to work in a restaurant, and I have never seen or heard a manager talk to a customer like that. Granted, everyone has bad days, but still no excuse for him to treat paying customers like that. Needless to say, this place will not get our business again. I will spread the word to all my friends and family to stay away. I told him that's why there's Yelp, he said are you trying to be funny? I said no just stating another fact that there are outlets to leave reviews, good or bad about your experiences. We were a bit nervous to order brunch for pick-up (we've never done it before and honestly didn't know what to expect). We have eaten here a few times pre-COVID and are big fans, so we gave it a go. It was AMAZING! My mom loved her Mother's Day brunch at home. All of the food was hot, delicious, and presented perfectly! We are so impressed. The place is big... but way, way too crowded and very noisy. Granted, we went on Good Friday when more people than normal had a day off, but our server told us the crowd was about the same on weekends -- which is reason enough for us to eat elsewhere. 40+ minutes to get two dishes, and the food was not very good. The berry crepe looked like Pepto Bismol on a plate, and the potato pancakes were soft and flavorless. To their credit, the manager offered to pay for our meal for the poor service as they "worked out the kinks" (we declined), and then ultimately gave us a gift certificate for our next visit. With no plans to return, we gave the credit to the old folks at the table next to us. Definitely not a place we'll return to, but thanks for trying (seriously). read more

The hollandaise was not warm enough, tasted like it came from a jar and the salmon inedible. The very nice waitress asked me about it and I told her my concerns. I reordered eggs and pancakes and they were fine but nothing seemed hot enough, including the coffee. A manager did come by and was very nice and concerned. Fresh pressed juice was $7 of blandness, California crepe tasted like a savory omelette wrapped in a sweet deflated pancake (not a crepe), omelettes were overcooked and dry, eggs Benedict were decent but skimpy on the hollandaise and on a flat boring English muffin. We love Brunch Cafe! We have eaten at the Fox River Grove location for years and are thrilled to have the Kildeer location close to us. The new location is gorgeous, bright, and clean. They do an AWESOME job on busy Sundays getting people in and out without feeling rushed. The food is consistently good. We've never had a bad meal or a problem with our order. Service is always excellent. I've tried both the regular and decaf coffee and enjoy them both plus I like the large mug that it comes in. While eating at the Kildeer location recently my husband and I discussed two things about Brunch Cafe that we would change if we could. I would love for them to leave a pot of coffee on the table as some other brunch places do. On busy Sundays, in particular, it's hard to flag down the wait staff to bring more coffee. Plus it makes me feel bad to do so since they are usually so busy and instead of sitting and chatting with my tablemates I am looking for my wait staff. If you can't place a coffee pot on every table at least have somebody floating around to refill cups. The second suggestion is to put ketchup bottles on every table. My husband's favorite condiment is ketchup (as the famous saying goes he puts ketchup on his ketchup) so the little metal cups of ketchup that the wait staff brings are not enough. He gets slightly embarrassed having to ask for a lot more. Now that my son is also a ketchup addict they fight over the ketchup. So those two reasons are the only reasons why I gave Brunch Cafe four stars instead of five. I would have given them 4.5 if I could. This morning 's breakfast was the worst breakfast I had. Foods was horrible. I ordered corn beef hash, eggs,hash browns and blue berry pancake. Only the eggs was acceptable. Corn beef hash was mushy. Hash brown was just like angle hair pasta. Pancakes were sticky. Coffee was just like those from McDonald's or may be worse.
