With pandemics and having a baby, outings to restaurants have been extremely rare. But we got to go on a little day date today and went to Brunch cafe. It was busy, but you get put on a waitlist and texted when your table is ready- a great idea so people maintain distance from each other. It was only a 20 minute wait so it wasn't terrible. Their menu is expansive so it was hard to choose! Ultimately we ordered the nacho scramble and the butcher shop omelette. We both got hashbrowns and pancakes as our sides. The pancakes were some of the gear I've had in a while. Fluffy, slightly sweet and crispy on the edges. The hashbrowns had a lot of good crisp to them too and were an ultra thin shred. We both enjoyed our mains too. The servings are large and will be great for leftovers! The restaurant ran efficiently for how busy it was. We had a great mini date! read more

The Brunch Cafe had a difficult task of catering to a party of 9 women at the tail end of a bachelorette party weekend, and they deserve some mad props for doing a fantastic job. We all left feeling full and very satisfied with the tasty Sunday brunch we had. Although we had brunch reservations we were seated maybe 15-20 minutes late. They were slammed with patrons but when we were finally seated the server did a great job catering to us. Our server got all of our drink orders and coordinated all of our meals to be out at the same time. If you have the hunger of a teenage boy after football practice then you can probably eat a whole plate of food at the Brunch Cafe. Otherwise, you'll need a to-go box for the portion sizes here. I got the stuffed potato pancakes which had scrambled eggs with bacon, red pepper and green onion with a huge potato pancake with melted cheese on the top. It is served with a side of sour cream. I was definitely really happy with this meal. I also tried a bite of my friend's chorizo and potato dish and another friend's california crepes dish. They were both great as well. The atmosphere is casual, the prices are reasonable, the service is great and the food is egg-salent. I would recommend for anyone in the Hanover Park area but also they do have other locations of brunch cafes. read more

Brunch Cafe gets points for doing what it aims to do- serve an extensive brunch. Our party of 5 had a short wait to be seated around 10 on a Saturday. We looked over the (very long) menus and placed our orders. I chose the oatmeal with a side of berries- no complaints! The coffee was fine and our waitress came by frequently to make sure our mugs were full. I believe everyone else enjoyed their breakfasts as well! The portion sizes were generous, and they allowed for customization of most orders (egg white sub., basically EVERY variety of toast, etc.) Pay at the counter after dining! In case you forget what meal Brunch Cafe serves, there is lots of "egg artwork" on the walls that I got a kick out of. I would definitely recommend BC to those in the area looking for a hearty breakfast! read more

One of my favorite breakfast places! Their omelettes are delicious with big portions. Staff is always friendly and service is top-notch.

I ordered the Belgian waffles and a side of bacon the waffle was ver nice and light airy but still had the outside crunch to it i asked for the bacon to be a little bit chewier and it was still crunchy only reason for the 4 star review its the Restaurant is very homey and gives u that nice cafe feel had nice decorations and i felt very comfortable the service was nothing less then perfect always got refills was very polite and professional overall great experience read more

My favorite place to grab brunch when I'm home for the holidays! I remember when they first opened in Roselle and I've been a fan from the start. The black and white pancakes and blueberry bliss cakes are great choices if you have a sweet tooth like me. My go to these days is the sweet potato skillet with over easy eggs - absolute perfection with the tots and gouda. The service is always good and speedy! I've done takeout a few times as well and the food travels surprisingly well. I have never had anything I didn't like from Brunch Cafe! I am always tempted by the lunch paninis, but the brunch options will always have a chokehold on me. They have quite a few locations now so if you're looking for brunch in the suburbs, check it out! read more

I ordered the Eggs Benedict with hash browns on the side this morning. My receipt listed Manuel at the top. This was a expensive breakfast for me. Egg yolks were not runny. They were over done and soft but not runny. For Eggs Benedict when you cut into the egg with a fork the wet and warm yolk should run out. The trick with pouched eggs is to cook the white of the egg enough but not over cook the yolk. The Benedict sauce was not silky smooth. Hash browns were burnt on both sides. BURNT!!!!! Not worth what I spent. Very disappointed. They did give me a humongous portion but everything was over cooked. Whoever cooked this did not do a good job. For the expensive price of this breakfast you would think management could hire a decent chef. Save your hard earned money. Smart Ones frozen breakfasts are way better. $2.45 vs $16.00 I wish restaurants in the Hanover Park area would offer smaller portions and charge less as well. read more

Busy brunch place. Multiple groups waiting outside and inside for tables. So making a reservation is definitely recommended. With that being said, we had reservations for 9 people on a Sunday at 11am. Got there exactly at 11am and waited around 15-20minutes until we actually got seated. Soooooo if you're in a time crunch or if you have a big group, maybe get there tiny bit earlier. Also carpooling to the location may be a good idea since parking may become a hassle. Other than that everything else was uphill from there! Our waitress was super attentive and sweet the whole entire time. My coffee mug was never ever empty! Score! It's a huge menu. So if you're indecisive like me, it's going to be a tough decision. After much deliberation, I got the ay caramba egg'squisite skillet. Had my eggs made sunny side up so I can have an egg yolk porn moment. Very good idea. The dish itself was good. Nothing over top or something you can only try at this location but it did not disappoint and it hit the spot. Has jalapeños in the ingredients but it's not spicy at all. I drowned mine with Tabasco on top for a bit more of a kick. I got it with pancakes on the side (you can choose between pancakes, English muffin or toast). Super filling. This was way more than enough for one person. But I ate it all anyways. Everyone at our table seemed to enjoy what they ordered. No one came out sad. We kind of sat around and talked even after we were done eating and no one came to shoo us away or gave any ugly side eye looks. Which is a major plus!!! Brunch Cafe is great, always clean, good skillets, best better pancakes (try the cinnamon roll one ) and the service is always great! I like their bloody marys a lot too. My only 2 gripes are: 1) understandable there's usually a 15-20 minute wait during busy times (sat/sun morning) and 2) when I come here (typically hungover) its a lot of stimulus as every table is seated and packed tight together - can def add to the sunday scaries. Unfortunately, another server a woman with black hair came towards our table and gave us an attitude that we made a paper airplane to our 2 year old son and insisted of letting us know politely that we should not do them, she was rude and aggressive towards us. We have been coming here for a few years, but they are so busy on weekends that we don't come often. If you can come early, or on a weekday, they have excellent food and good service. They have a few items that are fairly unique that are worth the trip alone: breakfast Nachos, breakfast Sliders, breakfast Panini, and we really like the Apple Bread French Toast. The food and service is excellent here. The amount of food and the prices are very fair. I can never decide what I want when I come here. There's so much variety. Today I ordered a veggie omelet with cheese and subbed the hash browns for tomato slices to be keep in line with a low carb diet. However I can't ever come have breakfast without pancakes but so happy they serve multigrain pancakes. So I got that instead of toast. And wow the pancakes are so delish. Highly recommend. We ordered the breakfast burrito (no meat), south of the border (no meat), the berry berry crepe, strawberry banana crepe with vanilla glaze, and pomegranate lemonade. Everything tasted so good!! I would have preferred the potatoes on the side rather than inside the burrito. Crepes were on the sweeter side but tasted good. South of the border was a quesadilla with similar flavors to the breakfast burrito. Pomegranate lemonade was regular lemonade with pomegranate syrup. It was sweet and refreshing.
