Brunch cafe catered a post-wedding day brunch at our house and it was fabulous. We had a wide assortment of delicious food, including an avocado toast bar that had all of the toppings I could possibly want. The delivery person was friendly, perfectly on time and set everything up for me. Only took one star off because for the stated number of people we really needed about 1/3 more of the avocado toast than we got. We ran out very quickly. I still highly recommend them for catering, and the in restaurants food is delicious too. Nice to have a good in-town breakfast option in St. Charles. read more

We brought extended family from out of town here as we were looking for a good brunch. It's location is right in the bustling downtown St. Charles. Bonus - we even got a window seat! I have to say that I was in love with the breakfast burrito. After coming off a trip from San Diego where breakfast burritos are culture, I needed to find a good one locally. I found it here! I could not pass up a side of pancakes as well. To my findings, they are my favorite pancakes in the area. This is my go-to brunch spot from this moment on. Service was outstanding. Stopped by for a late lunch. Food was meh. I had a simple eggs, ham, potatoes, and pancake breakfast. The server asked if I wanted shredded potatoes or cubed. I opted for shredded. They were so weird. They were finely spiralized, not shredded. This meant they were all stuck together and eating them was like trying to eat p soggy potato spaghetti. My ham was really, really dry and my scrambled eggs were overcooked. The pancakes weren't very good either. My husband's pancakes were not cooked in the middle. Our table also had the strawberry banana waffles, nacho scramble skillet, and the blueberry cream cheese pancakes. The skillet was very unappetizing looking. It was mediocre. The cream cheese filling in the pancakes was more like a cream cheese icing and very sweet. Lots of potential for making things on the menu delicious, but they are missing the mark. Don't think we will be back. I'd usually try it once more, but since all 4 dishes on our table were not great, doubt that we will be back. Oh well. Nice place for breakfast. Tried the skirt steak and eggs, the ham, cheese and bacon omelette, and a waffle for myself and my wife. Staff was very friendly and courteous. We also had the OJ and coffee. Coffee was good, refills came quickly. OJ could have been better but it was ice cold upon serving so it went down quickly and the serving size was generous. The food was good. All really good. And it was busy. Really busy. We went on the Sunday of Scarecrow Fest which is a really busy but fun time to be downtown St Charles. Our server was awesome and took the time to really talk to us and take care of us. She noticed I was wearing a Run Disney jacket so we had a conversation about Disney each time she checked on us. My only complains that there did not seem to be a good understanding of wait times. We were told 30 minutes. We actually waited an hour before we had a table. This place is good for your classic and basic breakfast options. While I am more of a Buttermilk (Geneva) fan, Brunch Cafe is doable in a pinch. The place was constantly packed so I suggest you download the NoWait App or get on the list via Yelp or you will be waiting about 30-45 minutes to eat although they will keep quoting you 15 minutes every time you ask. We dined on the apple bread french toast, health club scrambler, and veggie skillet. Everything was just ok, but for St. Charles, I guess it's a big deal. read more

We had a group of 6 come here on a Saturday morning, and we had no problems getting seated at 9:30am. We were only brought coffee once, and then not refilled again until we were boxing our leftovers up. This is a huge annoyance to me no matter where I go. The pancakes were just ok. I ordered a dish that had brisket and potatoes with it in a creamy bbq sauce. While it tasted different (creamy bbq sauce is a neat combo), the dish was like 97% huge bowl of potatoes and 3% meat and fillings. Definitely way off on the proportion of ingredients. The waitress brought out 5 dishes and then we had to wait several minutes for the 6th dish to come out. Overall, I would not come back to this location. Date of Visit: 3/24/18 We decide to try give this location a try after being repeatedly disappointed with the location in Roselle. We were pleasantly surprised. It was a little difficult for my wife to navigate to the entrance with her disability and the lack of handicap parking near the restaurant entrance but the destination was luckily worthy of the challenge. Staff members were friendly and cheerful. We must have just arrived before the crowd because there was plenty of seating this Saturday morning. Coffee was excellent (Intelligentsia brand). My wife tried the Churro waffle and I had their chicken fried steak w/ country gravy. Both dishes arrived in a reasonable amount of time and were cooked to perfection. The churro waffle is a deep fried waffle dipped in sugar and cinnamon. My steak was tender enough so that no knife was needed. The restaurant is fairly large with two seating areas. It was starting to fill in as we ate our breakfast. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I am sure we will be coming here again in the very near future. They do utilize the No Wait app for when things get busier although we did not have to make use of the app on this visit. read more

Was told the wait would be about 15 minutes and it was almost 40. There were several open tables and they kept calling people ahead of us who arrived after. The south beach scramble may very well be the best egg execution I have ever had! I'm not even joking! I paired it with a side of the chocolate bacon pancakes and OMG I think I died and went to heaven! The husband had the butcher shop omelette and red velvet French toast! The eggs were fluffy and the meats flavorful! And the red velvet French toast was the perfect sweet pairing! What is not to love? Breakfast is amazing and our server Elizabeth was so cool. Rarely do you get great food AND an attentive, funny server. They work their asses off and rarely get kudos. Oh my gosh soooo good. Again this was just my husband and me. We had been visiting at a nursing home in St. Charles this morning and looked around for somewhere to lunch. We got lucky as this was our first time here. The day was beautiful so we sat outside under some shade. There was a nice breeze so it was perfect to sit out. I am fussy about my coffee, especially with the prices. Their coffee was very tasty. I had two nice, hot cups. I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Scrambler over Portabella. I chose fruit on the side but I could have gotten potatoes. It also came with toast. There was so much to eat. But I managed as it was delicious. My husband got an omelette that he chose the ingredients. He got potatoes on the side. The food came out quickly, nice and hot. The omelette was huge and delicious. Of course he took some home. Expansive menu with pancake, waffles, crepes, omelettes, skillets, scrambles and all sorts of sides and oatmeal as well as sandwiches, burgers and salads. If you can't find something you like here you're impossible! Service was exemplary. We had a party of 13 which we split into nine and four and she took care of all of us at same time with narry a delay in bringing out the food to everyone within a couple of minutes. The portobennys was a nice play on a bread free eggs benedict with the added twist of asparagus and goat cheese. Very tasty and perfectly poached eggs (whites were firm and yolks quite runny.) The has browns were nothing special - they needed more griddle time for more flavor and were served a tad too cool. A side of sausage links was amazing - tender and very juicy without the normal rubbery texture. The berry crepes were chick full of sweet cream, fresh berries and a tender buttery crepe. Very sweet if you like that.... Coffee was very fresh and not at all burnt. Our only complaints were the lukewarm potatoes, cold toast and lack of Equal for the coffee. read more

Ordered: the special of that day: The Salmon Eggs Benedict with diced potatoes The eggs were runny as they should be, there seemed a bright lemon taste in the eggs and a nice paprika seasoning on the top of the eggs. The salmon was not too fishy-tasting..maybe a little dry, but the running eggs masked that fact a bit. I enjoyed it. My impression is that this place is as good as Egg Harbor, maybe better...not sure. The best eggs benedict in the area is the lox salmon at Harrington's/Atwater just down the road (literally a few miles away) in Geneva. I liked this place.
