This place is so good. Very fresh ingredients. The vibe is high energy, and very family oriented. Service is great, quick, attentive. The place is packed for brunch but they keep it moving.

This place is a whole vibe!!! From the welcoming, helpful staff to the tasty food and great music. THE best grits, waffles, and chicken. And if you're a sweet tea lover, you'll love theirs, and I'm a sweet tea snob. Everywhere else I go, I have to doctor up my grits, so when I tell you these were the most flavorful and perfect consistency, trust me!!! After seated, you will scan a QR code on the table for the menu. They will come to you to take your order and you also pay at the table (Apple Pay also accepted). Family friendly, affordable, and delicious! I WILL be back!

The food was good but the burger could've been fatter rather than longer because it didn't really fit the bun. The service was nice at first but because are whole party wasn't there they asked us to give up are table and we had to wait an hour for a new one. Once we got are table the service was very slow and no one checked on us for about ten minutes after we where sat down. The over all environment was nice. Overall I believe this would be a nice place for a group of 5 or smaller with bigger groups things get a little complicated.

Or you can be seated at a table in a large open dining area. Very community conscious with a ramp for wheelchair to get from main hostess area to the dining area. I was seated right away. Being visitor from VA Beach, I asked what's the recommended dish, the server suggested omelette. But I wasn't in the mood for omelette so I saw shakshuka. I tried their Green Goddess version that has spinach (instead of tomato sauce) and feta. The food is a solid 3. I also ordered the Dubai Chocolate latte. It was a 3 as you taste more the milk than the chocolate syrup. I also got their chocolate chip banana bread.

It was tough to have a conversation across the table. The food was a mixed bag. We enjoyed the French toast and bagels, and the mujadara had good flavor - a smidge dry. The tuna, which was supposed to be medium-rare, was overcooked and dry. The service was subpar. While a staff member (manager on call?) cleaned a table next to us, she accidentally sprayed one of us and their food with cleaning solution. We mentioned it to her and she apologized with no offer to replace the food. Our waiter was kind enough to agree to replace the food at our request. The previous staff member who sprayed us brought out the replacement food and rudely served it to us with attitude and without utensils. We had to flag another waiter down for utensils. Mistakes happen but the handling of this situation left a sour note on our celebratory brunch. We expected better service etiquette from Cafe Alma but left really disappointed. I hope management reviews how incidents like this are handled in the future.

It is loaded with pecans, sticky in the best way, and easily one of the best in the city. When they're on, they're really on. One thing I noticed was that the setup could use a little refinement. With both coffee and bakery items coming from the same counter, the line gets congested fast and the shop is quite small. A separate line for coffee and tea offerings - they have a bunch - and pastries would make the experience smoother and match the quality of what they're serving. They do offer vegan options, which I personally have no interest in, but just an fyi. Overall, they deliver excellent pastries and has the potential to be even better with a few small tweaks to the flow and menu variety. Still absolutely worth a visit, especially for that croissant and pecan roll.

When asked kindly, I would happily oblige as I was grateful to have a place open late enough for me to get my work done. Unfortunately, things have changed for the worse. Now, we were asked to leave if we didn't make another purchase despite the fact that we were not even done with our first drinks. As many other reviews have stated, we were berated by the worker about tipping because he told us he only makes $3 an hour. Having worked as a barista myself and knowing many others, I have never known a place to pay baristas (or bartenders) a server's wage rather than minimum wage. Even still, as of 2026 in Ohio the minimum server wage is $5.50. Most likely the worker was lying, but the owner Shawn Brooks should be ashamed of himself and investigated by the U.S. Department of Labor. Also, the worker added extra charges to our bill which is so slimey. For all the complaining about not being able to stay in business if people don't buy multiple items, you will not be able to stay in business if you scare all your customers away. I will never patronize this business again.
