The fruit was fresh and the waitress recommended to try a lemon chutney, which added a nice twist to the fruit. We visit Carolina Beach every year and were excited to try out a new breakfast/brunch spot. We visited at about 10am on a Friday and there was no wait. Food was awesome and came out super quick, which was great with an antsy toddler. Drinks were also good, and the service was great as well! Hope to visit again next year! read more

jt was very busy when we arrived around 11:30 on a saturday morning, but we were sat quickly. unfortunately a point is docked because it took our server about ten minutes to see us, but she was apologetic and didn't seem to know we were there, so it definitely was not on her. we had the gluten free biscuits to start, which were excellent. we ordered the powerhouse bowl and the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla (on corn instead of flour tortillas) and they were both quite good, (both pictured) but a bit greasy, so i couldn't have too much of it. all around nothing super special, but good if you're in need of breakfast. read more

My wife and family came by when they where visiting my Marine son on memorial weekend. They had a very bad experience staff was rude told them they were about to close but still sat them down on the website it states that restaurant closes at 9:30pm and they arrived at 3pm on a Sunday. When they received their food my son asked for specific item not be on his plate and they where still put on there when asked if it could be made again with specific items not on plate they where told kitchen was closed. Also my daughter asked for pancakes and when they came out they were still raw. They were also rushed to eat because they were closing but the other people in restaurant were not told anything about them closing. Not trying to play race card but my family is Hispanic and they felt like they where being profiled because of race. read more

Ended our 2 day vacay with breakfast. Highly recommemd the avocado toast. Our waitress was very friendly and energetic and informative.

Nutella & Strawberry French toast was delicious. The biscuits & gravy with eggs & bacon was amazing too.

Not a long wait time but The Shrimp and grits was good just took a while for the food to come out.

Food quality is low, overpriced IHOP...."Nutella" French toast did not have Nutella just some cheap chocolate sauce. The staff is nice though. read more

Difficult to even give a one star. Sat at rooftop, had to go up to bartender to place our order, all plasticware, even silverware, no one checked on how food was, food was cold, worse eggs ever. No coffee refills, without going up and asking. No service upstairs. read more

What an awesome team of staff members my group of 16 encountered at this location for dinner on 4-25-25, This team was led by Terri the manager supported by Haven our server. Terri helped me put this birthday event together days in advance and though they don't take reservations she supported making the entire dinner event happen very very seamlessly. The owner and management need to commend the team working last night from 5:30pm when we arrived until we left at 7:30. We have visited Brunches twice now in CB. The service has been very good each time. The wait for food has been lengthy so prepare for that if you're short on time. The food was very good our first visit but this week it was fair at best. One of our entrees came out 20 minutes after everyone else's. We'll give this place a rest for a bit. read more

Everyone else seemed to have a good exposure was horrible! We did have a table of 12 and I understand that's a lot, but our waitress had no idea what she was doing. She was more worried about getting other tables there alcohol than bringing our food to us. When we asked for something we had to ask at least 3 times before she even thought about bringing it to us. Went for lunch today . First visit. Interior of the building is very nice. Has a beachy feel to it. Service was great. Ordered shrimp and grits. It was a very disappointing dish. Grits were very thick and sticky like. The shrimp and the sauce really lacked any flavor. Didn't eat much of it. Server offered to replace it, so I ordered their cheeseburger with fries. Food comes out pretty quickly. Fries were were hot and crispy. Burger was cooked as ordered. Came with lettuce, onion, pickle slices, and a secret sauce. Pretty much just a burger. Not really impressed with the food. Not sure I will return. My server was terrific. read more

This is only the second time I have been here but most likely it will be the last. My wife ordered the hot chicken biscuit and I had the bomber burrito. Everything that came from the kitchen was cold or lukewarm. My queso sauce was stuck to the plate from being cold, my home fries were sent back because they were cold, and everything on the biscuit was cold. My first experience here last year was really good, so I tend to think that maybe the cooks are different, but they need to be real cooks, and not substitutes. I gave 2 stars because our waitress was pleasant and helpful, but I will find another restaurant that cares enough for their customers to give them a hot meal when it needs to be hot. read more

Fantastic breakfast/brunch menu, as expected given the name. The mimosa flight was a unique and tasty part of the experience. We liked this place so much, we're consecutive repeat customers! Had my first breakfast experience today at Brunches. My wife and I ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were overcooked and the Bernese sauce did not seem to be homemade. The crab cakes and grits I had were delicious. I was disappointed since I live on the island. The server was excellent. read more

We went to Brunches at Carolina Beach for the first time on Labor Day Monday around 11:45am. There was a short wait, no more than 10 minutes. Everything started off fine - seated, coffee, orders taken for our party of 3. Restaurant was too loud for easy conversation. After waiting an hour for our meals (and being served stale chips and queso to help with our hunger and wait), my son's meal arrived with hard, dried out pancakes, and the bacon in 2" chips. My potatoes were cold. It almost seemed like they were recycling food. We were refunded one meal and discounted on the other two, but we were ready to go after the food arrived the way it did. My sincere suggestion for any restaurant that is busy/short staffed is to let the host and guests know if your kitchen is really behind, because it felt like a big waste of time and money. I don't want to eat at Brunches so badly that I would wait an hour for (and pay for) a sub-par meal. It's disrespectful. I totally understand busy holiday weekends and would understand being turned away. Sharing this mainly for the restaurant to be aware for QI, and for potential guests to inquire about the wait for food if it's not disclosed up front. Hopefully this was an aberration. read more

My wife and I had breakfast here at the Carolina beach location on two separate occasions, and both times, we had horrible service. The first time was with Mel B, and the second time was with a server named Mia. It's a nice place inside and the food is good, but when you have a server who is inattentive and unprofessional, both times, it kills the moment. With Mel B you could at least flag her down for something, even though she was hardly around. But for Mia she was M.I.A! Once our food was served, she never checked on us. I had to flag her down for a spoon to stir our coffee. After that she never came around to refill our coffee. Never had the opportunity to ask her for hot sauce or napkins. After I addressed it with her the response we got was that she was busy and to have a nice day. With Mel B she looked at us and said nothing. There our other places in the area to get breakfast for us with better service. It'll be a while before we come back here. It's not hard to understand that to be a professional server is to give professional service. To make sure the customer is taken care of, so you can receive a better tip. If you don't care about serving the customer, then you shouldn't be in that business. read more
