We got an old fashion and a lemon drop and they were phenomenal. Charcuterie board was our appetizer and that also was delicious. We shared a porterhouse steak and it was cooked to perfection. I know this was only a soft opening and I can only add one recommendation and that was if you can add more sides like a loaded baked potato or maybe onion rings :) we got the mashed potatoes and it was just ok could have been a bit more fluffy and the mac and cheese has clumps of cheese. My wife made us reservations for my 54th birthday. We went on Monday, August 18. We're residents of Norco and we've anxiously been waiting for Brunks to open. Now that we've experienced it, here's my honest review. We had reservations and we were seated right on time. My wife ordered an Aperol Spritz and I ordered a Modelo. Service was just right in terms of attentiveness. The staff didn't hound you. We decided to order the shrimp cocktail. It tasted really good with the cocktail sauce. It was only 4 shrimp and for the price, 6 shrimp would've been justifiable. I ordered a second beer while my wife and I talked about our day. After a little while our waiter came over and we ordered. I also ordered my 3rd and final Modelo. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and I ordered the 18oz dry aged ribeye. We also ordered the chefs mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The mashed potatoes were very good and the Brussels sprouts were delicious. They have little chunks of pork belly mixed in. I highly recommend. However, for the price, there should've been a little more of both. My wife loved her scampi and we even brought a little home. Now, to my 18 oz dry aged bone in rib-eye. I really wanted to like it. I ordered it medium rare. It was spot on! However, it really lacked flavor. I've been buying my meat at Brunks on 6th and Hamner since it opened. Their prices at the butcher are a bit high but the cuts of meat are great. In the restaurant however, the cut was beautiful but the flavor was lacking. The bone was very small which I was excited about. However, there was a lot of fat. I would estimate, that between the bone and fat, it was 5 ounces. So to pay $80 for a basic flavored 13 Oz dry aged ribeye, that's tough to justify. Also, everything is a la carte. Here's a breakdown of our meal. 3 modelo= $27 1 aperol spritz=$20 1 shrimp cocktail (4shrimp)= $19 1 Brussels sprouts= $12 1 mashed potatoes = $11 1 shrimp scampi= $32 1 18 oz dry aged ribeye= $79 1 side of garlic butter= $7 I'll let you do the math. One last thing. I know we're in Norco, but let's keep the flies out of the restaurant. Overall, I'm torn, I really wanted to like Brunks Steakhouse to work out. However, based on the price vs quality, I might stick to grilling my own ribeye. read more

As someone who loves a great steakhouse, we were excited to try this place. The interior has a rustic feel while the food itself leans upscale. The star of the night was definitely the steak -- excellent quality, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly right. There were a few things that missed the mark, not in flavor but in expectations. At this price point, I was surprised that bread and butter weren't offered. I was also caught off guard by a few menu items simply because the descriptions weren't very clear. For example, the charred asparagus came with a lemon sauce and balsamic drizzle. My husband and I enjoyed it, but my daughter didn't care for it, and had I known about the toppings, I likely would have chosen something else. The mashed potatoes were delicious but very cheesy, which again wasn't noted. A bit more detail in the menu would really help diners choose dishes that fit their preferences. I also found it unusual to be charged three dollars for a side of horseradish at a steakhouse. It's something I've never encountered before. Waited a while for employee to approach to be checked in. When they finally did, I let them know their 8:30 reservation had canceled. From start to finish this place was wonderful! The hostess at the front was so warm and inviting. I got seated so quickly and then immediately a server was at the table. It's some of the quickest service I have ever received. The staff is so knowledgeable on the different kinds of cuts and flavor profiles! They have wonderful recommendations. I have been here twice now and both times I have had nothing but the best service and food. The cuts of meat are so good! Every bite melts in your mouth and the flavoring was perfect. Yes the prices are a little on the higher scale, but you are paying for quality I have to say in my personal experience. I have never had a better steak! A great new steakhouse is exactly what Norco needed! Checked this place out during their soft opening and honestly, they're off to a fantastic start. The staff was super friendly, efficient, and really knew the menu inside and out, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Nicole, the owner, came by our table and was incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly dedicated to making sure guests were having a great experience. It really showed how much pride she takes in both the food and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. We started with the crispy calamari & shishito, which had the perfect crunch without being greasy and a nice kick from the peppers. The charcuterie family block was beautifully presented and loaded with a great mix of cheeses and meats, but the star was the candied bacon with its perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and savory--we couldn't get enough. For mains, I had the Prime hanger steak cooked medium-well, which came out with a great sear on the outside, juicy and tender inside, and seasoned just right to highlight the flavor of the beef. My partner had the chicken fettuccine alfredo, which was a standout with al dente pasta, a creamy yet light sauce, and a generous portion. Got 3 sides with our order the Mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts with bacon and 3/4 cheese Mac N Cheese. All were delicious and prepared perfectly. Let's start with I love their meat market. However, they missed it greatly in dinner last night. They have it nailed with their people very attentive funny lot of knowledge about the menu. The bar is excellent very diverse in the liquors that they have. But they seriously need to work on the food. The calamari was overcooked, the corn was dried out, the hanger steak was crazy tough. I feel like they have the right idea, but don't have it dialed in yet. Very pricey for what you get, but I was expecting that given that they're a high-end meat market. My family and I got to enjoy our night at a preview dinner prior to the grand opening, and it was absolutely incredible! Every staff member (including our server, who was the best) was ON IT and so kind. The manager and owner made their way around to introduce themselves to all the guests and answer any questions. My husband took me here for an early birthday dinner. It was a wonderful experience. Ashley was our waitress and she hangout with us a bit, got to know us, asked questions, shared her recommendations, and really took good care of us.
