BEST ITALIAN we have had anywhere in a LONG time! Gnoochi was AMAZING and lasagna was also superb. I've had a lot of Italian, great stuff in Chicago and in Italy itself and around Europe. Certainly this top 2 of my Italian meals outside Italy (but even better than lots I had even in Italy). We got the pleasure of sitting at the bar and we served by Francesca herself! Very kind and a pleasure to talk to. Treated us with a complimentary bruschetta that was delicious. She makes all the gnoochi and ravioli by hand herself and you can tell. The gnoochi was SO SOFT it melts in your mouth. If you've only had chewy gnoochi in your life, you don't know what gnoochi can be. We got the garlic spinach gnoochi with alfredo per Francesca's recommendation, and the sauce was amazing too. Didn't have to add S&P like I do at most restaurants. The lasagna was also killer. Pasta melted in your mouth, sauce meat and cheese all delicious. Also enjoyed mojito that was just right, not too minty and a custom white wine spritzer. Really wish Francesca had landed somewhere closer to home because we be back here repeatedly if not for the distance to get to key west. So let me start off with the great stuff. Carbonara was out of this world. "Real Italian style". The trio of lasagna meatballs and eggplant parmigiana was ok. Found Bruschetta Francesca while walking to Mallory Square. Was originally going to just have a small appetizer but we ended up spending the remainder of our night there. The staff and owner were fantastic and made us feel welcome. Best Italian food I've ever had no contest. The lobster ravioli was phenomenal and the key lime pie deserves a gold medal. The food was really good, tried both the lasagna and the raviolis. The complementary starters were very tasty as well. My only complaint is the "Special Menu" doesn't include prices of entrees. It surprised me when I got the check the cost of the lasagna so ask beforehand or order from the regular menu. This place was AMAZING!! Best Italian food I've ever had. For an appetizer we ordered bruschetta. It was DELICIOUS!!!!! Our awesome waitress Georgia recommended the vegetarian lasagna for my entree. Wow, just wow! We were a party of 11 that showed up on a Fri night. They offered to seat us at the bar and we proceeded to have one of the best dinners in recent history! The staff was excellent, every dish served was exceptional. The desserts, delectable! Our waitress was wonderful and the manager (or owner?) came by to check on us more than once to make sure we were happy. We were walking down duval street and could smell the wonderful smell of gralic bread coming from this place. we decided to stop and were not disappointed. The bruschetta was huge, it was made with all fresh igredients. this is a hidden gem for draft beer, all places are double the price. $3.00 for draft beer could not be beat. The staff was extremly friendly and very accommodating. we wanted garlic bread and the server brought us complimentary garlic bread. It was so good we decided to order the full sized order which was only $4.00. we sat outside at the tables and the aroma of all the food smelled absolutley amazing. wish we stopped here for food first. will defentiely be back next time! this is a must try. read more

I presented a few bites to the server to share with the chef. I received a 50% discount for eating a terrible overpriced piece of Lasagna. I requested a conversation with the chef, however I was told he did not speak English, BS!! This is a wonderful restaurant tucked off the busier streets near Mallory Square. There is plenty of indoor seating, and there are also about four outdoor tables with umbrellas that each seat two people. We started with the classica bruschetta and moved to the penne funghi e salsiccia. The bruschetta arrived as two large slices (fortunately a knife was provided to further slice it down) dressed beautifully with balsamic, diced tomatoes and onions and basil, and pieces of mozzarella. The penne was one of the best dishes I had this trip. I'm a huge mushroom fan, and there were more than enough mushrooms and sausage for each bite of pasta. Our waiter, Maurizio, was cheerful and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we were enjoying everything and to see if there was anything else we needed. read more

So we walked in on a Monday at happy hour. We tried the octopus, the eggplant, and my wife and I split the carbonara. We had a few drinks each. The octopus was cooked lovely. It was fully grilled but not rubbery. The eggplant was delicious. It was something I'd get again for sure. The carbonara was rich but not overpowering. It had a fantastic noodle and the sauce was perfect. The bacon really hit a home run in the dish. We sat at the bar. The bartender Camilla was fantastic. We talked about places wet were from and where we have visited. She brought the owner over to meet us and she was super kind and welcoming. The carry out going out of the place was impressive. That speaks volumes to me. The place is quaint. It isn't too big and that afforded great service. I would tell you if you are looking for an Italian place to eat it is worth it. I really enjoyed it. First night in Key West we stumbled upon this location and it ended up our favorite place all week! Food was great, service was some if the best we've ever had. Authentic and beautiful inside, had two appetizers and a bottle of Chianti that was delish. SCAM! Run! The people here pull you in their restaurant with 1/2 price happy hour, then charge you 3x the price. My fiancé and I was told an appetizer price of $8.50. The lady typed in $23! I asked to cancel and left. The charged me anyway. Even though I had not eaten there. As a Floridian I will be calling local law enforcement to prevent this from happening again. read more
