Coming from San Diego, my boyfriend and I wanted to have some tasty ice cream before we went back home. We found what we were looking immediately with this place! There are so many flavors and combinations available. I got a chocolate chip cookie sundae with my choice of flavor for the two scoops of ice cream. There are plenty of seats around to accommodate larger parties. We went to this location around 9pm on July 4th with very little hope that an ice cream place would be open, but were happily surprised that they were open. There were even options on the menu for doggos, which is super cool. read more

the worst ice cream ive ever had. i got strawberry & cookies and cream. tastes extremely fake, artifical and flavorless. i guess this place is good for lids they hot different sundaes and toppings. I literally took one lick & threw it away. Now I know why Afters is number 1. i wont be back. read more

Like many of you, I'm sure you've been a Cold Stone or a Baskin Robbins child your whole life. You've likely never strayed. Let me tell you why that is a huge mistake! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Their ice cream is the bomb.com. So many fun flavors and they have a rewards app! YES PLEASE! Decent pricing and friendly service as well. The only down side, and I wish it weren't true is that for those of you who can't enjoy dairy, the sorbet is gross. I'm sorry, it is, it's not lovely the way a nice fresh sorbet should be. It's syrupy and icy rather than creamy (even though there's no dairy). Other than this you've got yourself a lovely spot for ice cream and other sweet treats! read more

This is good ice cream. As every one says the graham central station does not disappoint. The main reason this is not 5 Stars is the fact there is not good seating and I think they should have more help to keep the line going. I got my fur babies the doggie treat and they loved it. read more

It was such a refreshing treat today to get this creamy ice cream for our family during the heatwave. They had 2 walk up windows open to order from. Very friendly and efficient service. They did offer samples when we requested. We got the following flavors: mint chip, death by chocolate, coffee ripple, pistachio & cotton candy. Sorry no pictures to show all the flavors & cone; It was way too hot outside to get a good picture or have us wait to devour all the ice cream. Ice cream is smooth and creamy. read more

We absolutely love the ice cream here! It's so delicious and creamy, churned to perfection. Their menu offers so many choices in how to devour the ice cream. Seriously don't pass this place up. Bonus tip if you have littles they give them a free scoop of ice cream that is absolutely perfect in size for them because as you know kids don't ever finish what most places serve as a small. read more

First, amazing ice cream. We had three flavors and all were delicious. Can't waIt to try the rest soon. Again and again. Second, the owner is so helpful and accommodating. Friendly, nice, and all the rest. Here's the story. My partner bought a birthday ice cream cake here last week and the drive to his destination was a bit longer and much hotter than expected. It melted. This week, I thought a little late to get a replacement cake for this same group problem is, I thought about it too late. The owner said that he could accommodate me, made the cake, and even arranged to come in early the next day so I could pick it up before the store opened. This is the kind of service and delicious food that will keep me coming back again and again. I'm writing this on my way to the party, and can't wait for dessert. Thank you, Bruster's!!! The BEST ice cream and service in the OC. The owner (Heather) is very polite and friendly as well as a great group of workers who always make Marley (BFF) and I feel welcome. The ice cream is made fresh on site each day with an endless variety of flavors my favs are Black Raspberry and Key Lime Pie, Marley adores the complimentary doggie sunday (small bit of vanilla with a milk bone attached for good measure) I usually take mine to go and Marley not having any of that wants his RIGHT NOW which he devours on the spot not even coming up for air! All things considered, I rate the product quality far above any of the local competitors and strongly believe in supporting a small family owned business that cares. A small stand on the side of the road near Islands. It's a great place to grab ice cream. They have many flavors to choose from and they are always open for sampling different flavors. They have seasonal flavors that change often so be on the look out for that! I had the death by chocolate and oreo flavors in a waffle cone (this was a small by the way). It was so much and definitely better than other chain ice cream places. I'll be back to keep trying different flavors. read more

This place is awesome andeveryone who loves ice cream should come here at least once. They have plenty of locations so there is probably one around you. They are super friendly and the flavors of ice cream are always changing which is nice to see in an ice cream place. I got the pistachio and it had a ton of nuts in it which is awesome to see and makes for a great scoop of ice cream! they even gave a small ice cream to my dog free of charge and it came with a milk bone which he devoured. Everyone must come here, it is an awesome experience! read more

I'm a true ice cream fan and wanted to check out this place. I tried the buckeye ice and totally fell in love with it. I liked the chocolate ice cream with bits of peanut butter in it. It was so good that I regret that I only brought a small size. I'm looking forward to try other flavors, and perhaps getting a larger size next time. read more

Good Ice cream that's made fresh! My kids love coming here. They give my toddler a super cute free ice cream cone for being under a height limit. I can't remember how tall it is, maybe like 40 inches. She's 36 inches tall and has a few more inches to go before she can't get free ice cream anymore. Their specialty flavors have all been really great tasting. I'd defined recommend this place to friends. The only draw back is you can't walk inside. There's only outdoor seating and no shade. We still like coming here though. read more

I am a southern girl at heart, and had a Bruster's down the street from me growing up. When I moved to California, I was super depressed that there was a lot of kitschy ice cream places, but not one really good, homemade style ice cream joint that just made my mouth water. I missed Bruster's oh so very much. Every time I went home, I had to go there. To say the least, when I saw the "Coming Soon" sign up on the corner, I scared my now husband so bad he nearly crashed the car. I was elated! The guilty pleasure of my youth had finally come to the West Coast. When they finally opened, I HAD to go over there the day of and get a cone. I even ordered up 2 quarts for my Bridal Shower. I had to share the love that is the best ice cream I have ever had. The portions here are generous, and I have never had a bad flavor. If you aren't sure, ask for a sample. They are happy to give it to you! If you get a cone, you can get more than one flavor (since it is two generous scoops of ice cream). Not in for much? I suggest the Kid's Dirt or Dino Sundae. It will not disappoint. Into being a super ice cream fatty (like I am some time), a triple scoop in a waffle cone is a massive slice of ice cream heaven. If you are feeling adventurous, then try their flavors of the month. They are limited time offer, and some I wish they had all year round. My favorite of all time is the Cotton Candy Explosion. Cotton Candy ice cream with Pop Rocks in it. The Pop Rocks dance on your tongue like tiny little ballet dancers. For years I have tried to recreate this flavor, to no avail. It is worth a try. read more

I told the staff it was our first time here (I was with my daughter) and the staff immediately told me that because she is lower than the counter it's a free ice cream cone! Score! The staff helped with the menu and after getting the sundae, the Ice cream was delicious! The price for a good size sundae was 7 bucks. I was impressed. I hope this place stays around. More seating would be nice but for the price, I'll take it. read more

The ice cream is pretty darn good. Like the reviews proclaim, the ice cream tastes freshly made. "Real Ice Cream" is the perfect description for it. Plus the service here was great. The manager was patient with us, explained everything, and gave us several samples when I asked what was recommended. We tried: - apple pie: tasted just like apple pie. Yummmm. - key lime pie: absolutely delicious and I'm not even a key lime fan - coffee toffee- good coffee flavor with large chunks of toffee This place is a must try. I will be back regularly. It will definitely be a popular spot in the neighborhood. It already is- judging by the lines today. read more

I usually wait a while before I write a review but this place is so good that I don't have to wait !! The ice cream here is the best I have had it is not sugary and taste very creamy and it is made fresh daily !! I first tried their chocolate chip cookie dough it was very good with huge chunks of real cookie dough it was very good !! Then I tried their Graham Central station this is my favorite so far it is made with real Graham crackers in it and it tasted great !! I have never heard of a flavor with Graham crackers in it I thought it was cool I want to also thank my yelp friend who suggested that flavor I would put her name but not sure if she would like that lol !! I want to also note that the staff here is great as well very kind and helpful and they also let you sample any flavor before ordering it . Oh and when I went a few hours ago I was carrying my Mom's sundae and my ice cream and one scoop feel off my waffle cone lol and they replaced both scoops for me now that's customer service !! Their waffle cones are really good by the way . The location is small and easy to miss it's right next to the yarn house and next to islands burgers in case you do miss it lol!! Oh one more thing that my Mom I asked me to add is that she enjoyed the mudslide flavor she tried it is chocolate ice cream with Oreo cookies and marshmallows in it she also liked their sundae as well !! read more

Ok, didn't hate it. I mean, it's ice cream, what's to hate. And apparently it's ice cream a lot of people love because they have a helluva lot of windows available to serve you through. I don't know though, it was just ice cream. I wasn't wowed by it. It didn't taste special or fabulous. I've had better at Baskin Robbins or in a pint of Ben & Jerry's. Though I get that they have all kinds of flavors -- so maybe it's a special treat kind of thing. The ambience is...well, a walk-up box of windows on Tustin Ave. The traffic is noisy, there's not much to look at. And the window openings are lower than I think they should be. read more

I got the Lemon Bar (50 cents extra), Cinnamon Apple Filled, and New York Cheesecake (50 cents extra) totaling to $9.67 with tax. I have gone the past 2 years and never had issues getting it on the first day. This year was different. I got there around 5:05 and walked into the shop to see a lot of tables empty. I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

I really wanted to like this place. Bruster's Real Ice Cream has a fun reputation, and I was looking forward to treating myself to something special. Unfortunately, this visit fell short in almost every way. The first thing that struck me was the service, or more accurately, the lack of it. The young woman behind the counter looked like she wanted to be anywhere else. No greeting, no smile, and no attempt to help me with flavor choices. It was one of those uncomfortable moments where you almost feel bad for ordering. For a place built on the idea of happiness in a cup or cone, the interaction was anything but cheerful. When I finally got my ice cream, things didn't improve. The scoop was soft, almost melting into the cup before I even sat down. It lacked that creamy density and cold freshness that makes ice cream so satisfying. It felt rushed and careless, and it made me question how well the product was being stored. To make matters worse, the price didn't match the experience. It's not a cheap cone, and for what you pay, you'd expect a smile, a properly frozen scoop, and maybe even a small sense of joy. Instead, it all felt flat. I noticed in other reviews that people mention friendly service and a clean, upbeat environment. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but my experience was the opposite. The location was clean enough, but the energy was missing. No music, no conversation, no sign of anyone enjoying what they do. Ice cream shops are supposed to be happy places. You come for the nostalgia, the comfort, and the small moment of joy. Sadly, none of that came through here. Between the halfhearted service, the nearly melted product, and the high price, I left more disappointed than anything else. Bruster's in Orange could be great. The brand has the right idea, and the space itself has potential. But until the staff takes pride in the experience and the product is served the way it should be, it's hard to justify a return trip. One star seems unfair, and it could be totally inaccurate, but I have no idea because we didn't get a chance to try this ice cream. I was unaware that this place was walk-up only, that is, no inside dining room, which under normal circumstances would not be an issue. However when there are deranged drug addicts loitering outside the order/pickup window, acting bizarrely, normal people don't want to get out of their cars and subject themselves to harassment and likely dangerous confrontations just to get ice cream. And certainly not with their children. In the few minutes we were sitting in our car trying to decide just how badly we wanted ice cream, several other vehicles pulled up, but came to the same conclusion we did and left. I've heard from friends that their ice cream is good and I really wanted to try it but unless management finds a way to deal with the vagrants harassing customers, I probably won't be back. read more

We were looking for a new ice cream place and decided to try this place out. We got there at 9:45 and everything was locked up out front although their supposedly open until 10. The gal that was cleaning ignored our knocks at the window until I knocked so loud she was forced to acknowledge us. She then walked over and unlocked the window with a key and we asked if they were open. She said yes ( seems odd to be all locked up but be open ).
