I ordered a small waffle cone with cookie dough and graham cracker. The ice cream was so soft and so delicious. I was shocked with how good it was. The cookie dough ice cream had so much cookie dough - which I appreciated! I hate when other places have hardly any. The graham cracker flavor had big chunks of graham crackers and chocolate. Great experience here! They've actually been in Provo a while but recently went under new management, and they are working hard to bring only the best ice cream experience Bruster's can bring! WAIT FOR IT! I have tips. They have some pretty sweet ice creams with great flavors. They always have around 25 flavors at a time, with rotating seasonal flavors (current season flavors are apple) A few of my favs flavors: +Chocolate Mudslide: dark chocolate ice cream with Oreos and fudge. +Cinnamon: mellow yet beautiful cinnamony ice cream. +Graham Central Station: graham cracker ice cream, graham pieces, and chocolate flakes. P.S. I could watch ice cream being made all day long. TIPS: 1) They have free kiddie cones (legit tiny) for kids under 40" tall. 2) The Dino sundae was a huge hit with my kid! As a southerner, I was so excited to here when Bruster's opened last summer! It was the best day ever- especially as a new Utah resident. It's been over a year and I still go most Thursdays! BYOB- Bring your own banana. Your banana split is half off if you bring your own 'nana! They typically serve it with vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate with chocolate drizzle, strawberry, and pineapple topped with whipped cream and a cherry! My advice: switch out some of the flavors for the fun ones! They also have free puppy sundaes everyday if you bring your doggie! read more

A friend and I ended up coming to Bruster's "real" Ice Cream one night. It was honestly pretty slow (so there was no line, which is nice) and as an added perk, it was open on a Sunday! There was so many flavors to choose from, it was quite overwhelming honestly. Luckily, they did offer free samples so you could narrow it down. I narrowed it down to three flavors...which is very unlike me. I usually cannot finish a mini blizzard from Dairy Queen so this is really saying something. I chose the banana, the chocolate raspberry truffle and the cotton candy. I also got it in a waffle cone so that if I were to die the next day, I wouldn't have any regrets. There was lots of seating outside, which is convenient but I do wonder what they do in the winter months. Maybe not enough people want ice cream during this time? The ice cream was pretty awesome but my friend and I do question the "real" part of their name. It seems a little sus. Why do you have to clarify that it is real ice cream? It is like when they started putting "now made with real cheese" on all the pizza boxes. Not to mention, that while it was extremely tasty, it didn't taste all that genuine. Ice cream is my favorite dessert. It might even be my favorite food. "There's always room for ice cream" is one of my life mottos, but I don't waste my life on bad ice cream. Bruster's is legit. They have delicious fresh-made ice cream with some unique flavors and some AMAZING toppings. There's tons of room to be creative with their menu which makes it such a unique and fun spot to go. I heard good things so I was a little bit disappointed... When we pulled up we thought they would come up and take our order because we had parker in the "drive up" section. After a minute with no employees we got out of the car. We asked if they typically use their drive up order area and they said, "Yeah...it was just really busy today so we decided not to." If they aren't going to use it they ar least need a sign so that it is clear to customers. The area was a little dirty, they were out of cones, they told me that with the size I ordered I could only have three flavors of ice cream not two, they didn't know what the flavor of the week was and didn't seem worried that they didn't know, and the card reader wasn't working. Hopefully I just came on an off night but I left feeling frustrated. The ice cream was good but nothing special (except for the banana pudding - tasted like laughy-taffy and was not good). I would much prefer Rockwell, Brooker's, or Mora's for ice cream. read more

Brusters is very good, especially as a chain. It also proves that you can't turn ice cream making over to a franchisee, even with quality ingredients and machines and expect it to match the best around. Ice cream is an huge indulgence. I love it. If I'm going to indulge it better beat what I can get anywhere else in the area and what I have waiting at home. Brusters doesn't do that for me. I don't love the mouthfeel and the flavor intensity level. That's me. I also don't have any children to worry about. It's just the wife and I. Otherwise, this could go higher. We went to Brusters in Provo for the first time. It was amazing! Service was fast and friendly. Everyone was social distancing. if you can't decide, they will let you taste a few. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have unique and wonderful flavors. We ended up trying several flavors... *Birthday cake...that blue ribbon is chunks of delicious frosting and the icecream flavor was so yummy. *Chocolate covered pretzel with caramel....was my all-time favorite! Equal balance of crunchy pretzels, caramel and creamy sweet ice-cream. *S'mores with Oreos, pieces of Graham crackers and ribbon of marshmallow cream in chocolate ice-cream. This was my son's favorite. *Reese's PB ice-cream with Reese's chunks *Cookie Craze has Oreos, Dino cookie chunks, and cookie dough in vanilla ice cream. I always say it, but I'm continually impressed with the upping of the game-ness of the Provo/Orem restaurant, snack, and dessert scene. Bruster's is a long time favorite that my wife introduced me to back in California. Since then, we've always made it a point to stop by a location if we're ever near one. Like most chains (in my opinion), Bruster's is a consistent experience compared to other locations. The ice cream is creamy, cold, and with great flavor combinations. Because this location is new, they're figuring out some kinks. I got a small scoop of ice cream in a cup that cost me about $4 that I could have finished in 3 normal spoonfuls. It was laughably small. However, I'm sure little things like that will sort themselves out with time. What a great addition to the Provo/Orem area. read more

I was disappointed in the lack of unique flavors--besides a Banana Pudding flavor, chocolate, cake batter, mint chocolate, and other standard flavors made up the rest of the menu. Prices here were higher than other local ice cream shops in the area (Rockwell, BYU Creamery), meaning you get less ice cream for more. Soooo good! I like ice cream. I eat a lot of it. I'm disappointed by most, satisfied by some, and impressed by very few. Well, I just found a new one to add to those very few...and it's here in Provo. Score! I'm going to go on a bit of an ice cream rant here because it was that good. If you have taste buds, this may be of interest to you Most ice cream shops make the same mistake: they keep the ice cream too cold. The butter fat is what ice cream is all about and if it's too cold you miss most of its impact. Bruster's apparently knows this. The ice cream is perfect temperature - slightly soft - and the rich, creamy flavor shows it. My mouth is watering thinking about it - literally. Another mistake ice cream shops make is they cheat on the cream and so what you get falls short of what you instinctively expect. Again, Bruster's nails it because it was fully high def delish the whole way through. Gelato is good if it's fresh (if it's not like most aren't, you'll taste the ice crystals, in which case you may as well be eating Baskin Robbins - bleh). Custard, if it's real custard, is almost always amazing, but real custard is usually a bit of a drive to get. But scooped ice cream that's worth talking about let alone eating, particularly a second or third or fiftieth time, is a rare find in our dollar menu, disposable food economy. Bruster's is not just worth talking about, it's worth raving about. So here I am waxing long about my dessert tonight (and likely my dessert Monday night too). One last thing worth noting: waffle cones. They usually smell incredible and then taste like a newspaper. Bruster's makes theirs right on the spot and they actually taste as wondrously as they smell. Unprecedented, not to mention, a major bonus. Do yourself a favor. First chance you get, go to Provo, order a double scoop in a waffle cone, and enjoy the first step into your next food addiction. And then tell me I'm wrong. For what it's worth, I had the Sea Salt Caramel with Almonds (oh, mama) and the New York Cheesecake (the buttery graham cracker crust is insane). I drove down yesterday to try out Bruster's as I am absolutely going stir crazy with this corona virus lockdown. Well-- it was worth the drive. YUM! Love their ice cream. Had the peanut butter buck-eye and nutty coconut ice cream in a waffle cone. Generous portions. Friendly service and in and out location with lots of parking. Highly recommend. The ice cream is ok. What really bothered me was that they were being very casual during this whole COVID social distancing thing. There's just a sign on the window that says to keep 6 feet apart. There was no tape or signs outside to help guide the customers, none of the employees were wearing any masks. It was mainly the lack of awareness for the customers and the employees that gave me a weird vibe about this place. I know it's not up to the employees what measures they take, the owners need to be more aware that if one the kids in there accidentally coughs on the ice cream freezers or near the cups and utensils with nothing on his face to keep most of his germs to himself then we're all screwed. read more

Every flavor I have tried has been really good. My reason for the three star review is for the lack of customer service. I ordered two scoops to go and was given a small cup with the second scoop well above the rim of the cup. I asked for a lid which was plopped on top of the second scoop with a response of "yeah, that's probably not going to work..." and a blank stare. All while, within inches of the employee was a larger bowl that would have perfectly held both scoops. I get it, it was closing time and they wanted to go home. But c'mon, it would've taken an extra 2 seconds, if that, to put the ice cream in a bigger bowl. But instead I got to drive home while holding said ice cream while it dripped all over my hand. So even though I have no complaints with the flavors, this whole experience has skewed my thoughts on going back. read more

So I would definitely say I'm somewhat of a foodie and have been to numerous ice cream shops. The first thing that didn't impress me was that there was no place to go in to order or sit down and eat your ice cream. I totally get having a place like this in a warmer climate but in Utah I don't see it working out so well. Second, once again I understand with covid that staff will be reduced. We went there yesterday afternoon and there was one employee working. One male order before us and then we ordered and then a couple of females ordered behind us and took awhile deciding what they wanted. Therefore it took us and the male before us awhile to get our ice cream. I would suggest to management to have your employee/s ask the people ordering if they wouldn't mind waiting a second so they could get the previous customers out and then return to taking their order. The ice cream itself was ok but I would compare it to a Baskin Robins level. I always give a place 2 shots, so I'll order something different and if it's good will update my post. Got to leave on a positive note so the employee that took our order was friendly. read more

Bruster's served up one of the best chocolate shakes I've ever experienced! It reminded me of the old Walgreen's soda fountain shakes I had as a kid. It was excellent. I've been here a few times and in my opinion, it is the best of the newer ice cream places in the Orem/Provo area. Highly recommended. read more

The staff not only did not apologize they seemed very confused that we were upset that they never planned to make our order. In total over 30 minute wait for 2 cones and only 2 people in front of us.
