In a word: EXCELLENT! I finally decided to swing by and it was perfect timing .. nice weather and 0 customers! I signed up for the rewards program, sampled the graham central station, and ordered the turtle sundae! First things first: excellent customer service! That always stands out to me, as I feel it is really lacking at a lot of places. Thank you to the gentleman that took my order! Next up, they have a rewards program! Signing up gave me $3 off my order. You earn 1 point per dollar and get $5 off per 50 points. There are many picnic tables to sit at but it is order at the window only so no where to sit inside FYI. The graham central station sample I tried was delicious. I tried it to possibly replace the vanilla icecream with in my sundae but felt it packed enough flavor, that I didn't need to have it with a sundae with all the toppings (better on its own). The turtle sundae was absolutely rich and decadent and everything I wanted. Even the cherry on top was more rich and plump than the average maraschino cherry. It was extremely filling and took me an entire hour to finish .. still had fudge in the cup when I tapped out. The vanilla was so so creamy and delicious! Now THIS is real ice cream! As far as prices go, I find them pretty on point and to be expected in this area. Competitors are charging about the same and the quality is way better here. I don't mind paying for premium anyway and being absolutely satisfied. Quality always wins for me. I'm not the biggest ice cream fanatic, but this is definitely the place I'm going to go when I have a craving from now on. Sugar cone, cake cone or waffle cone/bowl, sherbet, gelato, sundaes, shakes, and at least 2 dozen flavors of ice cream. I chose white turtle & chocolate peanut butter Buckeye while my son chose a medium (3-scoop) waffle cone with caramel brownie batter. All of the above with tip was $15+. This is a new ice cream place that recently opened near us. I'm normally a fan of frozen custard or soft ice cream but wanted to check them out. I understand they make their own ice cream so that was the draw here. I ordered the chocolate with Hetshey special dark. It was very creamy with a definite taste of the special dark. My 4 stars rather than 5 is due to the fact that it was served on a sugar cone rather than the plain cone that I requested. A new icecream place just opened it's first location in the area, on Transit Rd near Maple Rd. They offer a good selection of flavors at competative prices. They also have a variety of toppings and cones. I ordered the Death By Chocolate. It was nice and creamy and flavorfull with bits of chocolate mixed in. I normally like frosen custard soft icecream but this place has one of the best hard icecreams I had in a long time. We'll be going back to try other flavors. read more

We were supposed to get actual dinner, and yet after a long afternoon in the heat, I've convinced my mate that ice cream is a proper allotment of our calories, despite his diet plans. Which is quite alright, as this shop gives a rough estimate right on the menu board of how far he's going to be set back. And yes, sometimes the calories and prices are higher than we'd prefer, but keep in mind, this is /real/ ice cream. I'd make some sarcastic comment about all the imaginary ice cream that I've downed in my life if it wasn't apparent on the first lick what they meant. I'm used to hard ice cream being the norm as most stands offer Perry's. Instead this was soft as a blanket of cream tucking in my taste buds, singing it a lullaby to try to tamp down their excitement over bananas and nilla wafers in my kiddy cone scoop. (I am far from a kid, though this is a perfectly sized scoop at any age without overindulging yourself.) The window girl was very helpful in easing my worries over allergens, as well as allowing my mate to customize his brownie sundae to swap out whipped cream and the cherry for peanuts. They even offer dairy free ice cream so that I don't have to deal with his repercussions later. His sundae came in a cup that can be sealed for later, as he is exercising self restraint here. Considering it's opening weekend, we managed a table and took in the ambiance of the busy street and balloon art of giant ice cream cones. It wasn't too busy for a weekend night, and while I'm not often going to trek out this far to have dessert for dinner, I'm glad somebody out there is keeping it real. read more

The ice cream here is a clear 5 star dessert. Every flavor I've tried has been so good! You can go to their website before visiting to see what flavors they have, since they change. Not sure how often, but you'll know what's being crafted that day when you scope it out. My favorite flavor is Graham Central Station. Graham cracker flavored ice cream with a graham crumb swirl & chocolate pieces. It's delicious! When they first opened they had a flavor that was Dark Chocolate & that was awesome! But I haven't seen it since that first visit. I had the banana pudding flavor one night & liked it - tasted like banana laffy taffy with vanilla wafer crumbs in it. A little too sweet for me but if you love banana flavor you'll love it. Order at the front window, pick up at the side window. Moved traffic along so the front doesn't get too crowded. And it does indeed get crowded. I wish they could expand their seating. There are a few tables out front but this place gets crowded at night by the local teen scene. If you get a waffle cone, ask for a dish with it because their cones are fragile! They need stronger spoons too because the flimsy ones they currently have get very bendy & makes it hard to dig into your thick & tasty treat! Checked out this new spot and was pleasantly surprised. The ice cream is homemade- hard scoop style but creamy. I got the banana puddin & chocolate almond coconut (you can customize each scoop flavor). They were both fantastic. My daughter got the cotton candy craze- she loved it...if you're into that flavor. I have been wanting to try the new Fall flavors. Unfortunately the Butter Brickle was not available. I settled on Scotchy Pecan. I was not disappointed. I have been visiting Bruster's all Summer with my son and his family. Every flavor we have tried has been outstanding. I want to mention that their waffle cones and bowls are always fresh and crispy. The ice cream was terrible. We ordered a New York cheesecake single scoop and a red velvet single scoop in regular cones. First of all , the amount of ice cream was so small that you could barely see it in the cone. It was also liquid not even frozen. The red velvet was like they poured a whole bottle of red dye in the ice cream and it tasted like chemicals. The New York cheesecake flavor was also melted and tasted like a very inexpensive vanilla ice cream. So we got charged almost $10.00 for like 2 bites of ice cream. If I could 0 I would. Got a blast and it came liquid like milk and not mixed together at all. When I asked why it was liquid they claim it came that way. I explained I ordered ice cream not milk and will not eat it because it is just liquid and no ice cream consistency.. and all they did was walked away like it wasn't their problem. We tried our Brusters on a nice, random, Thursday night. The ice cream was delicious and creamy. They had messed up part of our order but were quick to fix it. It did seem to get quite busy, and service slowed a little, but it wasn't too bad. There is limited seating though, especially during those busy times, and you get to eat while enjoying the noise of transit/maple intersection. read more
