This is my honest review of this place, $95 for two meals , buttermilk chicken salad, chicken and waffles and Mac and cheese side. The waffles were good, but omg this Mac and cheese was the worst I have ever tried it is made out of nacho cheese sauce out of can and they have me raw bacon on top. It had no flavor and was so so gross we couldn't eat it . My poor baby we had to share our food with her cause she couldn't eat it. We also want to add the girl working as the cook was so rude not only to us but to the cashier who was very kind. We felt so bad for him. I don't know who is running this place but we were the only one in here eating and shoulda of realized why. We won't be back this was the top 5 worst foods I ever spent my money on. I also wanna mention this place is very dirty, walls had marks all over and dust everywhere, chair and tables too.

We chose this spot after our walk at the UCD Arboretum. I am a sucker for chicken and waffles so I was excited to try them out. We ordered at the counter and sat outside. I ordered the standard chicken and waffles and my girlfriend ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (on a brioche bun) with tater tots. We were super comfortable sitting outside and didn't even take note of how long it took to get our food. I LOVE the little syrup bottles. They are so cute!! The breading on the tenders was nice and crispy and the waffles were so crisp! The big dollop of butter was perfect! My girlfriend said the chicken sandwich was great. The brioche must have been nice and soft bedside she definitely had to pick it out of her teeth. Hahahah! The tater tots were deliciously crispy and crunchy! The portion size of my meal was enough for me to eat half and save half for later. The breading on the chicken was a little spicier than I had anticipated, so expect that if you order it. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will probably be back to try something different from the menu.

I went to Bruxie for dinner with a friend and we both had a great experience. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and she got the chicken sandwich. The food came out in under 10 minutes, hot and fresh. The chicken was well seasoned, crispy, and honestly so good I almost burned my tongue trying to eat it right away. The waffles and syrup really grew on me, and adding the chicken made it even better. Customer service was amazing, and they've got some good deals going on for Picnic Day too. Definitely worth checking out.

I'm so happy they opened this place. I've been to the OG location in So Cal many years ago. The waffles are cooked to perfect crispiness. The chicken is nice and juicy. The tender bites are also very juicy. It's not dry at all. We love this place!

Really great chicken spot. Kids had the chicken and waffles and I went with the hot chicken sandwich. Both were 10/10. Waffle fries and custard were excellent too.

4.5 stars. My first experience was sooo good that I came back today. Lol. The chicken is prepared fresh each time so there's a short wait but it is definitely worth the wait. The tenders are exactly that - crunchy, tender and juicy! I had 2 strips and tater tots. The tots were perfect - crunchy and soft at the same time. I'm sprung. Lol. I had the habanero flavor and the heat was just right. I didn't enjoy the dipping sauces (honey mustard and ranch) because the consistency was too runny for me but portion sizes and the lemonade are really good. If you don't like sweet lemonade you might want to choose something else. I didn't see a name tag but the African American lady working the register and cooking was SUPER nice and friendly. Her persona was sweet and genuine. She also volunteered to bring my order to the table. It's nice to dine where there is such great hospitality! Thank you!! Definitely a good dining experience. Only suggestion is about housekeeping. Indoor and outdoor tables needed cleaning and the floor inside could use some TLC.

The Habanero Honey Hot is a great choice if you want some spice and flavor, and the Kickin does indeed have a spicy kick to it! The ranch sauce was amazing, and the waffle with lemon cream in it was sweet and tart and creamy.

CHICKEN & WAFFLE, BRUXIE BUTTERMILK RANCH SALAD

Woah! I've wanted to try this place for a bit now, and I finally got the chance. It did not disappoint! The waffles were so crispy, and the chicken (BREAST, btw) was soooo juicy. What a pleasant surprise. I would 100% recommend coming in person to experience their service. If you get lucky, you might even catch a conversation with the owner himself! I had such a fun time eating and chatting. Not to mention the cute little aesthetic they have in the back!

OMG the waffle chicken sandwich & fresh brewed sweet tea. I'm not local & just happened to run into this joint. So so happy that I did. Walked in & was greeted by 3 different people & not the typical blaah welcome to neverland bs. A warm friendly hello. Just for the record I'd give them 5 stars even if they didn't greet me but was a bonus & plus. Was a beautiful day outside so sat out - took a selfie & abracadabra the food was gone.

Bruxie is a chain, so I've been to other locations before. This particular location is conveniently located with lots of other restaurants. There is a large parking, but it can get quite busy, so you'll have to drive around to find a spot. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available, which is perfect on a nice sunny day. The service here is pretty good. The cashier was helpful and suggested strawberry lemonade which was not displayed but located in the back. The strawberry lemonade is superb! There's real strawberries in there!! You can tell because at the bottom, there are strawberry seeds. The fountain drink and strawberry lemonade is refillable. You can't go wrong with any of the waffles here. Food is made to order, so it comes out perfectly hot and crispy. The chicken is also immaculately battered because it's not too thick, yet not too thin. It's crispy and the chicken is juicy. Indoor seating is located separately from the cashier area, which i don't mind because it does give you more privacy and less foot traffic. I also like that there are two separate areas for outdoor seating. One outdoor seating is at the very front of the restaurant a the other is under a tree, shaded, on the side, which keeps it cool. This is my first time at this location and definitely won't be my last.

I have been wanting to try Bruxie since my friends from SoCal told me about it. They know I love chicken tenders and waffles, so naturally I'm intrigue to try this place when I heard Bruxie opened up in Davis last year. I put a bookmark for the next time I am in the area. As much as I wanted to try the chicken tenders and fried chicken, I end up getting the Bacon, Egg & Cheddar breakfast, which is one fried egg, applewood smoked bacon and melted cheddar and mayo in a waffle. It was 10:00 am and my tummy was craving for breakfast food after bootcamp. For some reason, I expected the waffle to be thicker, hearty with more texture?. The waffle reminded me of an eggo waffles. Don't get me wrong, I like eggo waffles. It just didn't do it for me. It wasn't bad, but it didn't blow me away. I'm looking at the menu closely again. I think I should have gotten the Super Cluck!, which has chicken, bacon and sunny-side up egg. I also got a side of the Spiced Tots, which was extra crispy with paprika? and some other seasoning. It was very good and a generous portion. The service is good. The worker that took my order had offered to bring the food to me when it's ready. It took about 10-15 minutes since everything is made upon ordering. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I think I will have to come back to try the fried chicken and the loaded waffle fries.

CHICKEN & WAFFLE, BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN SALAD w/ Cool Ranch

The service was great and the food was delicious! We got the chicken and waffle, and buttermilk fried chicken salad with cool ranch dressing. Try it with maple syrup and ranch dressing!!!

The food was delicious! We got the original waffle sandwich it was a good balance of savory, sweetness, a little spice, and crunch. Our kids loved the chicken & waffles and the waffles fries with the bruxie sauce. 5 star service.

I'm glad I did because everything was delicious. I ordered the pork belly banh mi and a cup of the Greek lemon chicken and farro soup. The banh mi was definitely the highlight. The pork belly was moist, tender, chewy, and really flavorful, and the crunchy vegetables added a great contrast. The ciabatta was perfectly soft with just a little bit of grilling and worked really well with everything in the sandwich. It was also a pretty substantial portion. I could only finish half and took the other half home for my son to try. The Greek lemon chicken and farro soup was also really good. I would have loved a little more lemon zing to it, but that's really my only critique of the food. Tenisha helped me during my visit and was super friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression for a new location. My lunch came in just under $30, so it's definitely on the pricier side for a sandwich-and-soup lunch. That said, everything tasted fresh and high quality, with plenty of protein and vegetables, and the pricing seems pretty comparable to the other options in this newly updated shopping area. Overall, this was a great first visit. The food was fresh, delicious, and felt like a healthier lunch option without sacrificing flavor. I've been waiting for Mendocino Farms to open and went a little out of my way to finally try it, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I'll definitely be back.
