Stopped here for lunch last week while dropping my daughter off for school at Chapman University. It looked inviting and there was a modest line to order; busy but not too busy. I ordered the Holy Chicken and my wife order a grilled chicken salad. While I was still getting myself situated my wife, who is usually unimpressed when trying new places, took a few bites of her salad and exclaimed, "This is good...REALLY good". That shocked me a bit because she usually says most food is "ok" and follows with a comment on how it could've been better. There was no such comment, only praise between further mouthfuls. I then bit into my Holy Chicken and immediately understood why it was named as such; I darn near caught the Holy Ghost at first bite! The waffle was crispy on the outside yet the perfect soft yet not too soft consistency within. The chicken was AMAZINGLY flavorful. Every bite was better than the next as the chicken, egg, maple, siracha, and other flavors blended. It was, without question, the best sandwich of its kind that I've ever had. Time would not allow me to visit again while in California, but believe me I was looking for every reason to. Immediately upon returning to the East Coast I googled the nearest Bruxie to me, which is a 570 mile drive...that I'm seriously considering making next weekend. read more

We arrived late morning and just beat the crowd! This was my first time here, and my only qualm is that the menu descriptors are too small to see while waiting in line. Step 1: Get in line Step 2: Determine what you want Step 3: Order your food and pay Step 4: Find a table IMPORTANT: Don't try to find a table while your party is in line. I know it's tempting, but it just makes it harder for everyone else who is just receiving their food and you're taking up a table while you haven't even ordered yet, and people getting their food have nowhere to sit and eat. Customer service is on point. There was someone who checked in on the people in line and was able to answer questions about the menu. They also were so friendly and comments on how cute a customer's kid or dog is. I'm much more of a savory person so I diverted my attention towards the waffle sandwiches. I also love breakfast (they have breakfast waffle sandwiches!), but I decided to try something that better showcased their chicken so I went with the Louisiana Hot Chicken Sandwich. Made it a combo with fries and tots, and added a side of angry mac and cheese. In the future, I would skip the tots and the angry mac and cheese and get the combo with fries and slaw! I was able to try my friend's slaw and it was super fresh and CRUNCHY and not heavy at all (not soaked in the sauce, relatively lighter sauce than other places). The sandwich was quite delicious with not too much heat, but great flavour. The chicken was super moist and tender. The waffle was falling apart a little bit so make sure you eat this fast, or pro-tip... flip it over half way through so the soggy side is on top. read more

Great vibe, great food! Came here twice for brunch, at around 11 am - 12 pm on the weekend there was always a line but goes fairly quickly. The setting is casual so you would order in line then find a table before they bring your food over. Seatings are all outdoor, there are only 2 parking spots in their lot. This is by far my favorite chicken & waffle dish I have ever tried. My personal favorite here is The Original. It's not too heavy, just about the right amount of sweetness on the chicken, paired with a buttery waffle! Highly recommended! read more

The combo comes with two sides that you can choose from a drink, tater tots, potato wedges, and coleslaw. I picked the tater tots and it was so good!! Had the perfect amount of seasoning and fried so crispy. The waffles sandwich was perfection. It was airy and crispy and slightly sweet and it was perfect paired with the fried chicken. Prob the best waffles I've ever tasted. My bf ordered the Holy chicken sandwich and it was sweet and salty and so delicious. It's the breakfast sandwich so it comes with a sunny side egg. I think it also comes with syrup on the waffle. It was really good. We got a free order of tater tots because they had accidentally made an extra order of tater tots for us. My boyfriend and I shared The Holy Chicken, Spiced Tots, and a Roasted Turkey Club. As always the Holy Chicken is sooooooo good. It's just a great blend of flavors and such a guilty pleasure. It is a bit heavy but so so so good. Now if you're looking for something on the lighter side, the Roasted Turkey Club is wonderful! The pesto is tasty and the vegetables here bring a nice crunch and freshness. I was torn between this and one other chicken shop in OC but this one had shakes and the Oreo was phenomenal! My gf had the tenders which also were flame The ranch and some sweet mango tasting sauce were her dips of choice, the el jefe with that chipotle Mayo was finger licking/ mouth watering good. This was my first time dining at Bruxie, but it was highly recommended and we were very hungry. Their menu is simple, and they make ordering very easy. An employee named Eric quickly cleaned two tables for us so we could sit closer to the heaters. Our food was ready rather quickly and everything we ordered (chicken & waffles, Tots for the Table, Super Cluck, coffee) was hot, fresh, and so tasty. Love bruxie! I wish they'd have more locations across SoCal but this is my go-to whenever I'm in the area. Their food is always consistent and there's plentiful parking in the back lot or on neighboring streets. I especially like their waffle fries! Bruxie you da best!!!! I've had them on my radar for a few years and every time I'm in SoCal I say I'm going to try them but never do. I happened to be in the area and was craving chicken but wanted something different and finally made it here. When I arrived there was a pretty long line and it was super hot out but I just knew it would be worth it so I waited anyways. The menu is quite enticing and everything looks and sounds so good so I had a hard time trying to figure out what to order. Did I want a chicken sandwich, plain chicken or chicken n waffles??? So many choices and so many questions lol. I finally narrowed it down and ordered the fried chicken n waffle combo which comes with two pieces of chicken, one waffle, butter and a personal bottle of pure Vermont maple syrup. The food looked and smelled so yummy but when I took a bite of that chicken, I went to a whole other planet! That chicken was so crispy and seasoned so well and it was so moist and juicy. To say I was shocked at how good it was is an understatement. Hands down the best and most flavorful fried chicken I've ever had!!! The waffle was really good as well. It had a nice crispy exterior while the inside was fluffy and topped with that creamy butter and pure maple syrup that just set it off! The whole meal was just top notch and I'm mad that it took me so long to try them. Not only was the food amazing but so was the customer service. The staff did a great job of asking people in line if they had questions about the menu and thanking people for their patience as they were doing their best at getting the line moving quickly. They were so friendly and efficient. All in all Bruxie was well worth the wait and I can't wait to go back and work my way through that menu.
