I've been going to this place since they first opened back in 2008-2010 but totally forgot they existed until recently. What we ordered: - Strawberry Crème Brûlée: This was always one of my favorite desserts. It was only offered seasonally in the beginning so I'm glad to see it stayed on the menu. The custard was just the worried that amount of sweetness and I loved the burnt sugar bites in between. - Chicken Tenders & Waffle Fries: Decent portions. I had always ordered them with the original seasoning prior but I decided to try out the Nashville Dry Rub. Still really good but I think I prefer their original. I chose their house-made ranch as my dipping sauce and it complimented the chicken really well. Even came with 2-3 decent sized pickle chips. The waffle fries were perfectly cooked with the right amount of saltiness. - Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich: I was so sad to say this sandwich was disappointing. Should've stuck to the original flavor. The chicken was too battered and therefore super oily. The tenders were more on the juicy and meaty side so I'm surprised this was an issue with the sandwich. I'd definitely stop by here again. They also offer shakes, salads, waffle burgers, and etc. read more

wow how has everyone been here as a child except for me?? tf anyways i got the original chicken waffle sandwich and my friend copied me and my other friend got the super cluck. parking was easy to find and wow my friend is a genius parallel parker! but anyways we spilt the tea because it was the catching up tea before i leave for another two months. but anyways the food came out quickly and we ate it. my friend really likes the waffles but i thought the waffles were meh. like it was super crunchy and stuff but that was it. i liked the sauce and chicken better. 3.5 stars! read more

I read someone said the perfect science of chicken and waffles. They are exactly correct!!! Waffle perfect flakiness, but holds the sandwich together. The egg was made to perfection with the exact amount of yolk oozing onto the chicken. The Kickin' it sandwich was also perfection!!! Showcase the perfect amount of spread and seasoning on the chicken. I need to give an BIG shout out to the employees!!! They were so friendly and eagerly gave recommendations..... even when they were so busy also getting out to go orders. I am so happy we found this amazing restaurant. We did learn my husband had an allergic reaction to something there..... but he still said it AMAZING!!! I'll be back from now on when we visit OC. read more

Bruce's chicken is sooooo amazing! My family had it and recommended it and so we had it delivered, went to this restaurant and then had it catered to our party! This location is exceptional every single time! When we had it catered the food didn't stand a chance! It was so amazing! I really like this place and the outdoor seating they have in person is really cute. The staff is really friendly upon arrival. I highly recommend this place! We also tried their holiday peppermint milkshake and it's a great way to finish your meal! read more

First time at Bruxie! Ordered The Original paired with fries and a Strawberry "Palmer" (Combo Meal) ! The ordering process allowed for a selection of fry cuts, and I settled on the waffle cut. The portion was good for me and the taste of the chili honey and homemade slaw worked well with one another. Sauce did cost extra, but my friends shared theirs with me. The combination of the waffle with the chicken and slaw didn't harmonize well; could've settled for just the chicken and slaw. There also could've been more of the drink considering its price, but it had the right amount of sweetness for me, and the strawberry inclusion for a classic "Arnold Palmer" was a fun try ! Stay there from the afternoon to the evening and the seating was nice. The establishment provided ambient lighting, creating a warm atmosphere. Definitely considering a return visit! read more

This place doesn't know the difference between the saying "white and dark chicken meat." I ate here before and they sell a lot of chicken options. I love fried chicken sandwiches , so I don't know why I didn't come back until more than a year later.. the menu looks fantastic! So many options. A women approached us if we had any questions. I asked "which chicken sandwich has 'dark meat'?" (Because most fried chicken sandwiches are made with white meat and I prefer dark meat). She looked confused and asked me "which one is not chicken?" I rephrased my question "are all your sandwiches 'white meat' ?" She understood and said "yes all white meat". So I pivot from a sandwich I wanted and asked her "which chicken on the menu is dark?" She turned around and asked another co worker what I meant by "dark meat"? And another women said the same thing! "You mean which is not chicken?" Am I in the twilight zone? I had to explain the chicken parts and point at my own body and flap my arms so they would understand. I ended up not ordering unfortunately. read more

Environment: More an outdoors restaurant. Pretty casual. Service: really great, the staff is really good. We were greeted and helped when needed. Food: these sandwiches are so good. I ordered the original, and friend ordered Bacon Egg and Cheddar. It was pretty good. Our chicken was a bit dry but the syrup made up for it. I'd like to come back for the chicken tenders and the sauces the brag about. TL;DR: pretty good for waffle chicken. Reasonable price. Outdoor seating. read more

The food wasn't hot when it came to the table. Nothing was necessarily fresh. If it was, then it would've been delicious. I love the lemonade tho. The bbq sauce was very vinegary. They offer outdoor seating only. The patio area is nice and there are a good amount of tables. The service was actually fairly quick. I won't say I'll be going back anytime soon. Roscoes can have my dollars. read more

I finally tried Bruxie! A friend of mine recommended Bruxie to me many years ago, but I've never tried it until our recent trip to SoCal. My sis and I were going to go to another spot for brunch, but it was a really long wait. So we ended up going here instead. We got the Holy Chicken (delicious!), the Chicken & Waffles (my sis said it was good), Loaded Waffle Fries (so yum), Cookies n Cream milkshake, and Nutella Milkshake (so yummy!) Service was friendly and attentive. My sister had her Cinderella moment where bird approach her. Lol it was cute. read more

We arrived late morning and just beat the crowd! This was my first time here, and my only qualm is that the menu descriptors are too small to see while waiting in line. Step 1: Get in line Step 2: Determine what you want Step 3: Order your food and pay Step 4: Find a table IMPORTANT: Don't try to find a table while your party is in line. I know it's tempting, but it just makes it harder for everyone else who is just receiving their food and you're taking up a table while you haven't even ordered yet, and people getting their food have nowhere to sit and eat. Customer service is on point. There was someone who checked in on the people in line and was able to answer questions about the menu. They also were so friendly and comments on how cute a customer's kid or dog is. I'm much more of a savory person so I diverted my attention towards the waffle sandwiches. I also love breakfast (they have breakfast waffle sandwiches!), but I decided to try something that better showcased their chicken so I went with the Louisiana Hot Chicken Sandwich. Made it a combo with fries and tots, and added a side of angry mac and cheese. In the future, I would skip the tots and the angry mac and cheese and get the combo with fries and slaw! I was able to try my friend's slaw and it was super fresh and CRUNCHY and not heavy at all (not soaked in the sauce, relatively lighter sauce than other places). The sandwich was quite delicious with not too much heat, but great flavour. The chicken was super moist and tender. The waffle was falling apart a little bit so make sure you eat this fast, or pro-tip... flip it over half way through so the soggy side is on top. read more

Great vibe, great food! Came here twice for brunch, at around 11 am - 12 pm on the weekend there was always a line but goes fairly quickly. The setting is casual so you would order in line then find a table before they bring your food over. Seatings are all outdoor, there are only 2 parking spots in their lot. This is by far my favorite chicken & waffle dish I have ever tried. My personal favorite here is The Original. It's not too heavy, just about the right amount of sweetness on the chicken, paired with a buttery waffle! Highly recommended! read more

Finally got to try this place!! It did not disappoint the hype. I ordered the original sandwich combo. The combo comes with two sides that you can choose from a drink, tater tots, potato wedges, and coleslaw. I picked the tater tots and it was so good!! Had the perfect amount of seasoning and fried so crispy. The waffles sandwich was perfection. It was airy and crispy and slightly sweet and it was perfect paired with the fried chicken. Prob the best waffles I've ever tasted. My bf ordered the Holy chicken sandwich and it was sweet and salty and so delicious. It's the breakfast sandwich so it comes with a sunny side egg. I think it also comes with syrup on the waffle. It was really good. We got a free order of tater tots because they had accidentally made an extra order of tater tots for us. They also came around a couple times asking if we needed anything else. Also offered refills for our drinks. The service here was superb. My first experience at Bruxie was amazing!! Gave this place another try and instead of using DoorDash I picked up and thought the food was MUCH better this time around! Everything seemed better seasoned and tasted more fresh. My boyfriend and I shared The Holy Chicken, Spiced Tots, and a Roasted Turkey Club. As always the Holy Chicken is sooooooo good. It's just a great blend of flavors and such a guilty pleasure. It is a bit heavy but so so so good. Now if you're looking for something on the lighter side, the Roasted Turkey Club is wonderful! The pesto is tasty and the vegetables here bring a nice crunch and freshness. If you're looking to treat yourself but also don't want a GUT BOMB sitting in your stomach, this sandwich is a great middle ground. The tots were also really good! They were super cripsy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Last time I had them they were a bit bland, but this time around they had the perfect level of salt. I used to come to Bruxie all the time when I would visit my friends who lived in the OC. Now, I had to introduce it to my hunnie. Waffle sandwiches for the win! This location is great during Covid because it is outdoor seating all throughout. Dog friendly. Customer service was friendly & they came around checking up on the tables. The Original: Crispy, nicely battered chicken on the outside! & juicy inside! I loved the sweet & savory glaze & how they gave you extra on the side. The waffle was slightly sweet & crispy. WOW!!! This place has been in my "bookmarked" section and finally today I tried it. Definitely lived up to the hype and Yelp reviews. I tried the el jefe on the Hawaiian buns which I highly suggest over a regular bun since the sweetness of Hawaiian rolls make EVERYTHING better. I was torn between this and one other chicken shop in OC but this one had shakes and the Oreo was phenomenal! My gf had the tenders which also were flame The ranch and some sweet mango tasting sauce were her dips of choice, the el jefe with that chipotle Mayo was finger licking/ mouth watering good. I'll be back for sure and I'm curious how those waffle chicken sandwiches are. 11/10 recommend this place is the business! read more

I literally googled best chicken sandwich in Orange County and this place came up with really good reviews and I can see why it came up. It's soooo good like so incredibly good. The fries are warm and crispy. The sandwich was the perfect mix of sweet, savory, and filling. The strawberry lemonade was superb very sweet but I love me a sweet strawberry lemonade on a hot day. The ambiance is nice, it's all outdoor seating but it's a neat little spot. They have like these mist things on the roof which is nice and refreshing on a hot day. And the staff was extremely nice and attentive. Also the service was very fast, it wasn't terribly busy when I went but it was still pretty fast service. I will be dreaming about this chicken sandwich experience. Def gotta come back when I'm in the area. read more

Wow! I'm so impressed! I got the chicken and waffles and a side of housemade ranch, and it was actually so good! I didn't feel weighed down and gross at the end of the meal, which is so awesome! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and not too oily at all! The waffles were so delightfully crispy and fluffy! Wow, it was a filling yet surprisingly light meal that didn't leave me feeling unhealthy at the end! I'd definitely recommend and return. read more

This place is still good and the service is great and friendly, but I am sad they are no longer serving green eggs and ham because the ingredients used in it were too specific to that one menu item only and they wanted to reduce what ingredients they had to carry on hand. What a sad day. read more

Ordered Uber Eats and the wrong food was handed off to the driver. People make mistakes no big deal. The only thing now I was not offered a refund or possibility to reorder another day. She was very polite, but told me I would have to get with Uber to get another driver to pick it up when it was the restaurants fault. I was really looking foward to that breakfast burrito. read more

Bruxie you da best!!!! I've had them on my radar for a few years and every time I'm in SoCal I say I'm going to try them but never do. I happened to be in the area and was craving chicken but wanted something different and finally made it here. When I arrived there was a pretty long line and it was super hot out but I just knew it would be worth it so I waited anyways. The menu is quite enticing and everything looks and sounds so good so I had a hard time trying to figure out what to order. Did I want a chicken sandwich, plain chicken or chicken n waffles??? So many choices and so many questions lol. I finally narrowed it down and ordered the fried chicken n waffle combo which comes with two pieces of chicken, one waffle, butter and a personal bottle of pure Vermont maple syrup. The food looked and smelled so yummy but when I took a bite of that chicken, I went to a whole other planet! That chicken was so crispy and seasoned so well and it was so moist and juicy. To say I was shocked at how good it was is an understatement. Hands down the best and most flavorful fried chicken I've ever had!!! The waffle was really good as well. It had a nice crispy exterior while the inside was fluffy and topped with that creamy butter and pure maple syrup that just set it off! The whole meal was just top notch and I'm mad that it took me so long to try them. Not only was the food amazing but so was the customer service. The staff did a great job of asking people in line if they had questions about the menu and thanking people for their patience as they were doing their best at getting the line moving quickly. They were so friendly and efficient. All in all Bruxie was well worth the wait and I can't wait to go back and work my way through that menu. They very well might be replacing another chicken place I frequent while I'm in SoCal!! read more

After reading through hundreds of reviews we decided to venture to Bruxie for chicken and waffles for breakfast before heading home after a long weekend . The outdoor seating is quaint and shaded.. the staff!! Omg where to start? Travis, Joe and the lovely girls at the counter all made us feel like regulars! They Recommended the holy chicken.. and mentioned the tenders are very popular of corse we went with the holy chicken.. gooey over easy egg, thick cut bacon and juicy tender chicken breast fried and dipped in maple syrup! Take my advice and ask for a side of the hot chili honey... you won't regret it! The waffle fries are crispy and well seasoned 6/5 napkins! (Highest honor I give) We will see you again Travis! Stopped here for lunch last week while dropping my daughter off for school at Chapman University. It looked inviting and there was a modest line to order; busy but not too busy. I ordered the Holy Chicken and my wife order a grilled chicken salad. While I was still getting myself situated my wife, who is usually unimpressed when trying new places, took a few bites of her salad and exclaimed, "This is good...REALLY good". That shocked me a bit because she usually says most food is "ok" and follows with a comment on how it could've been better. There was no such comment, only praise between further mouthfuls. I then bit into my Holy Chicken and immediately understood why it was named as such; I darn near caught the Holy Ghost at first bite! The waffle was crispy on the outside yet the perfect soft yet not too soft consistency within. The chicken was AMAZINGLY flavorful. Every bite was better than the next as the chicken, egg, maple, siracha, and other flavors blended. It was, without question, the best sandwich of its kind that I've ever had. Time would not allow me to visit again while in California, but believe me I was looking for every reason to. Immediately upon returning to the East Coast I googled the nearest Bruxie to me, which is a 570 mile drive...that I'm seriously considering making next weekend. read more

Bruxie opened as a patio stand in Orange County, California in 2010 with one genius idea -- the Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich! We started with our recipe for the most perfect, crispy, not-so-sweet waffle. Then, the crunchiest, juiciest, most delicious fried chicken ever. And boom! Awesomeness was born.

Hi. Thanks for your question. Sure, you can ask for it to be cooked without the seasoned flour and just regular flour. Due to our marinating process, the chick will still be flavorful but without rosemary.

In March of 2020, all Bruxie locations in SoCal closed due to CV-19. In early October 2020, two Bruxie locations reopened: Old Town Orange on Glassell, and Brea on Birch St. As of this report on 11/24/2020, only these two locations have reopened.

Walking in, you might expect a solid, casual bite, but what you actually get is an absolute masterclass in fried poultry. Let's talk about the star of the show: the fried chicken. Zidane saved my life. Zidane saved my life too. These employees aren't just workers--they're heroes, and they absolutely deserve a raise. It all started when I walked into the store feeling off--lightheaded, dizzy, like something was wrong but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I thought maybe I just needed water or a quick snack, but before I could even make it to the aisle, my vision blurred and I stumbled forward. Out of nowhere, Zidane appeared, steadying me just before I collapsed. Calm and collected, he gently lowered me to the floor, speaking reassuring words as he checked my pulse. At the same time, Zidane sprinted across the store, radioing for help and grabbing water, a cold compress, and even moving customers out of the way to give me space and privacy. Together, they moved like a trained emergency response team, completely in sync. Zidane stayed by my side, talking to me to keep me conscious, asking all the right questions with this incredible calm energy that made me feel safe, while Zidane monitored my condition and relayed info to paramedics on the way. They didn't just follow protocol--they went above and beyond with urgency, empathy, and pure human compassion. I truly believe if they hadn't acted so quickly, things could've gone much worse. They are the kind of employees who turn a crisis into a moment of hope and care. They didn't clock out when it got hard--they leaned in. Zidane and Zidane didn't just save my day. They saved me. Recommended by friends (more so than family). Always great things to say about Bruxie which manages to introduce some novelty into the seemingly static tradition of sandwich making. Not only is the actual "sandwich" different, but so are the flavors. Setting: situated on the very corner of two relatively busy streets, Bruxie gets good publicity and exposure. Literally right across the street from Chapman University, the restaurant was pretty busy. I hesitate when I say restaurant because it's more of a fancy drive through. There is seating but not enough to accommodate everyone there. A friendly employee sauntered around asking if people in line had any questions. Handwritten signs conveyed a "homey" feel. Servers: always served with a smile. They were quick to bring out the food as well as clean off your table. Turnover is the key to profit. Food: We ordered strawberry creme brûlée, smoked salmon, and fried chicken. I don't like sweets but the creme brûlée was spot on. Tasty with just the right amount of crunch from the waffle (right out of the toaster)! The salmon and fried chicken tasted good but was probably a step down from the creme brûlée. The salmon was perfectly salty and the fried chicken wasn't too fried. The only drawback to the food is that the portions are a little small for the price paid. Still, a great dining experience. So I have to make somewhat of an embarrassing confession...I attend school cady-corner from this waffle joint and I have boycotted trying this place ever since it opened a couple years ago. Over the past few years, I have seen it transform into a million different restaurants that all FAILED...but not BRUXIE!!! Bruxie proved that this little corner location is not a jinx and can be SUPER profitable. I boycotted this place mainly because I am "chang" (cheap) and I had the crazy idea that I didn't want to pay $7-10 for A WAFFLE, WTF (WHAT THE WAFFLE)!!! But boy, was i wrong about that one! Bruxie is worth every wakin waffln penny! From the friendly customer service, quick turnover of orders to ready-to-eat meals, to the deliciousness of the waffle. WTF!!!! Granted I have only tried the Turkey Club and the Criss Cross Fries Nachos...I haven't been dissapointed yet. Some of my friends who usually get the fried chicken tried my turkey club and almost died! They said they are definitely ordering the turkey club the next time. Tips: -be prepared for a line (i rarely pass by bruxie when there is NO line) - menu specials change all the time, sometimes they run out -parking can be tough if you are not from around the area, it is in a residential area so make sure you don't park in an area that you need a street parking permit -seating is outdoors so be cognitive of the weather, wouldn't want to come when it's raining = SOGGY WAFFLES, eww! read more

I have mixed feelings about the meal I had at Bruxie. I liked the service and the staff were very friendly and fast at expediting food orders. The thing I wasn't so sure about was the savory dish I ordered, which was the Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream Cheese Waffle Sandwich. The cucumbers didn't really fit into the sandwich and it really didn't add much to it. I think if the chives were replaced with red onions, it would bring more flavoring to the sandwich itself because it was kind of bland. Bruxie should stick with the classic flavor pairings of smoked salmon, cream cheese, and red onions. Potentially adding some arugula and maybe some bell peppers would give the sandwich more of a flavor profile. With this meal, I had their fresh strawberry lemonade which was okay, it didn't impress me that much. It was on the sour side with some pulp present, so you could tell it was fresh, but it didn't really win me over. I also ordered a sweet dish which was the Seasonal Creme Brulee with fruit. Now this was an awesome waffle sandwich and I think the maple syrup with the powdered sugar really made the dish cohesive and well put together. Overall, I think some things could be improved to make their sandwiches more delectable (as far as the savory goes), but I haven't tried their other sandwiches yet so I cannot speak on behalf of it. Came here with a friend on a Sunday morning. I heard about this place from a friend and had to try it when I heard they offer breakfast Waffle sandwiches. The place itself is more like a hole-in-the-wall food stand than a restaurant. When we got there, we found an extremely long line most likely due to how inefficient their order and pick up windows were. So, onto what we ordered. My friend ordered the Prosciutto and Gruyere from the savory section of the menu and the S'mores from the sweet section. The Prosciutto sandwich was mildly flavorful with it's mustard and chives. I'm not the biggest fan of prosciutto, but my friend is and she seemed to really enjoy it. The S'mores sandwich was extremely flavorful with it's chocolate filling spilling out of the sides of the sandwich. The only complaint I have for the S'mores is that the waffle gets soggy pretty fast. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Dill Cream Cheese since I love bagels and locks. This was pretty much the same thing except the texture of a toasted bagel was replaced by the crisp yet tender texture of their perfectly toasted waffles. The only problem I had with my sandwich is that I'm a man who enjoys quantity and all the sandwiches we ordered were lacking in the quantity department. Came here for the first time Sunday morning with boyfriend bear. Ordered their Summer Seasonal Specials: Pruscuitto Hash and Green Eggs and Ham. Oralgasm all the way. Both were equally amazing. We also ordered the Mint Chocolate Shake. Beware. Split this with someone. It is made with soft serve frozen custard and glazed with chocolate around the cup. Super rich and creamy. Second round that day, I ordered the Pulled Pork. It was ehhh. Not a pulled pork kind of gal. The second sandwich we ordered was their third Savory Special- Wild Mushroom. The is the PERFECT dish for vegetarians out there. So freaking delicious I freaking wanted to order a second but I was too freaking stuffed. Putting anything inside of a Waffle, is cheating! It makes everything better! Why have bread (boring!) when you can have your sandwich surrounded by a Waffle?! Everything I had was very good. The best being the Strawberry Crème Brulee, this thing was delicious! It's a special item, not sure if their specials are daily, weekly or monthly. Can't go wrong when you mix fruit and waffles. I also had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Waffle. The Chicken was fried perfectly and the syrup is great with it. It costs extra, but it's recommended. I just wish I would have seen the hot sauce before I finished it, it would have been a great addition. I also tried the Braised Rib Waffle. It was very good and loaded with meat. It is also a special item. It comes with waffle fries inside and a bit of Bleu Cheese. I also had the Strawberry soda. It was good, but did not blow me away. Again, another special item. Met up with my friend to catch up on all things considered. Bruxie is a fast food take out with open air seating located on Glassell, north of the circle in the City of Orange. It was Sunday. Bruxie was packed with a minor waiting line of 6 or more a clear show that this is a very popular niche fast food restaurant, specializing in all fried chicken related. However, the line moved fairly quickly. I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken salad, quite good and presented unmixed in a large bowl with Romaine, Apple wood Smoked Bacon, Avocado, Egg, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese, Chives & Ranch Dressing. You get your ticket and a waitress delivers your meal to your table in the open air or umbrella seating area. Condiment table is available for plastic utensils, various chili sauces. Lately, I've been into the "Chocula" sauce which is not too spicy hot but has a nice tang. Works well with my salad. Got a side of buttermilk fried chicken steak which I took home for a later dinner snack. Ginger beer was a nice treat, a bit sweet but solved with adding some water..Good to go! Randomly came here today and it was actually my first time. I had no expectations since I heard mixed reviews. I heard this place could get reallly packed though, luckily I caught this place at a good time. Anyways, very fast and good service! but no parking :( resorted to the meters i guess. I got the salmon and dill cream cheese waffle :) it was pretty good. Nothing unique that stood out to me though. Salmon was fresh though, i guess I could give it that one. My friend got the Apple bacon cheddar egg waffle sandwich. It was okay. It tastes better with ketchup and siracha though otherwise, it a little too oily for my taste. however my friend really enjoyed it, i guess she likes oily stuff. Sugar cane soda: way too sweet. the coke itself is already sweet but this just made it taste like im chugging sugar -_- NOW onto dessert: You must get the Creme Brulee dessert!! I ate here the other night with a buddy of mine after an alumni event at Chapman University (he is the alumni, not me). We were greeted by Tyler who is kind of like the Maître D' or ambassador for Bruxie. Tyler did a tremendous job making some recommendations. I ended up ordering a 4 piece Nashville hot chicken tenders that come with waffle cut fries and my buddy ordered the regular tenders. Evidently, the girl who took my order thought I ordered a chicken waffle sandwich, so I ended up with the tenders and the waffle sandwich (they gave us the sandwich free of charge because of the mishap). Gold star for Bruxie and Tyler for making that happen. The sandwich and tenders were delicious and I recommend this place to anyone on a strict meal plan/diet if this is going to be your cheat meal. I paid for it the next morning, but it was yummy going down. I'd definitely eat here again if I want some yummy high calorie comfort food. Gourmet waffles with toppings and stuffed with things you don't normally think of? Yes, please. I came here with a friend for the first time after all the chatter about fried chicken waffle sandwich. When I got there, I saw they had specials and there was a carolina pulled pork waffle sandwich that I could pass up. My friend got the fried chicken waffle sandwich. We both ate half of each just to see which was better. They were both equally good. The waffle was not soggy (which I was afraid of) and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The fried chicken was tender and crispy and was even better with the maple syrup they provided in a small bottle that girls would consider "cute". The pulled pork tasted as if it was slow cooked forever and the tangy coleslaw cut the sweetness offering a great contrast in flavors that balanced very well. Other than that, I definitely want to go back and try some other sandwiches. I never thought I'd find a spot that serves up southern-style cuisine in Orange, CA but Bruxie has done just that! As a southern father, I've had my fair share of fried chicken sandwiches but the one at Bruxie is something special. The crispy, golden brown chicken is juicy and flavorful, and the tangy slaw and housemade pickles add the perfect balance of acidity. But what really blew me away was their waffle fries. Bruxie has a very special place in my heart and a designated space in my stomach - it's obvious that their food is worthy of a Golden Globe if restaurants had such a thing, with the crispiest freshest fried chicken and hand-crafted ingredients made fresh every day. I swear in college I saw a produce truck parked on that corner delivering fresh fruits and veggies every day. Gourmet fast casual food at its finest. Their employees are friendly, knowledgable, and great at their job. Their cooks have a magical way of creating a meal that fills me up and makes me whole all in one sitting! You don't walk into a place like Bruxie expecting to be blown away by every single item on their menu AND have an employee take the time to ask me how my day is going. It is very rare that I leave a review and even more so when it is a good review. We showed up and even though parking in not plentiful there was a few open spots that were fairly close. As we got up to the place the line was 5-6 people deep but moved fast. Fairly shortly after we arrived someone came out with menus and that is not all, he was very entertaining as well. He suggested the pastrami bruxie which was amazing. The girl at the register was nice nothing special. Me and my co-workers selected a table that had a few o-rings from the sodas of the previous guest. Quickly the Manager Amanda came over to wipe down our table. She was extremely nice and was our second form of entertainment. Amanda wouldn't let me throw away my trash, refill my own water, and even let us try one of there tasty treats.... Something drastic is going to have to happen to keep me from going back again and again. read more
