We moved into our home a week ago and noticed quite a few bees going in and out of a crack by a post in our front yard. I called Bryan's Bees late on a Friday, and Lyndsay made our house the first appointment for Monday. Colin called in advance during the 9 - 11 am window, and he was at our house by 10:30 or so. He explained that it looked like he would need to take the top off of our stone post to take out what was most likely an established hive. What he found was an established colony of bees, which he was able to remove within about 90 minutes. He told us to be aware that the remaining bees were agitated and to give it about 10 days for everything to settle down. He also let us know that he would come out for free if we still had a problem after 10 days. We were impressed by this company's professionalism, communication, and skills. We paid the price quoted in the estimate-- no hidden charges or other shady stuff. I hope we never need a live bee removal service again, but if we do, we will certainly call Bryan's Bees. read more

I would never suggest that anyone work with them or anyone that they recommend. Im rewriting my review because what I thought was a trusting business ended up not finishing the job. Im very disappointed on how this was handled. Some guy named Scott was rude and combative when I asked him to finish the job. His reply was that I needed to hire another service to seal the hole. I was verbally told that the job would be totally finished and sealed once the bees were gone. This was not the case and now I have a metal cone hanging from my tree. About 3 months ago a small swarm of honey bees made a home in our patio cover. I am a big fan of honey bees, but they couldn't stay in their new digs. My options were, 1. Exterminate them, then remove the poisoned hive and repair the damage, or 2. Great experience! We had to leave our home for several months earlier this year due to catastrophic plumbing issues, and while we were away a colony of very aggressive bees moved into our recently abandoned hive. We'd lost most of our equipment in the house problems and the bees were SO aggressive that honestly we didn't want to handle requeening them ourselves. Bryans Bees responded promptly to my inquiries and had somebody out to take the girls very quickly. There was some miscommunication about the service we wanted -- we wanted them to come remove the frames and leave the hive body, and they arrived anticipating taking the whole thing away with them. When the technician opened up the hive to take a look, the bees were too established for them to all fit into the swarm box he had with him, so we had two options: either pay a lesser fee for his trip out to us that day and then pay later for him to return, or allow him to take the entire thing with him and pay a fee for him to bring it back to us later. We paid to have him take the whole thing away and bring it back later, and honestly despite it being more than we had initially been quoted, it was worth every single penny. The bees were SO aggressive that the remnants were harassing the neighborhood for several days afterward. When the technician came back with the empty hive, I was delighted to hear that the bees are living their vigorous little lives out in Ventura, awaiting requeening where they're not bothering anybody. Hopefully we won't need this kind of service again in the future, but if we did I'd definitely reach out to Bryans Bees first. Recently Bryan's bees did a trap out on a large bee hive located high up in a tree. The hive was difficult to get to and you could visibly see honeycomb coming out of a hole in the tree. It was unclear how large the hive actually was. Colin and Matt were successful with the trap. Colin scheduled a visit in approximately 2 weeks to check on the status. So- let me start by saying EVERYBODY at this company is responsive and kind. Now- I requested the relocation of a hive in my backyard. The tech who was sent out was somewhat of a novice ...per the owners own admission. Without excruciating detail- we experienced a catastrophe. The bees I wanted gently relocated ended up being dropped & their contained hive exploded on the ground & suddenly hundreds of bees were pissed & raging. The bees chased me (& my dog) into our house; we were both stung multiple time...my dog had a few that were caught in her throat. I had to rush my dog to the vet, and in the end, all was well. (Brian, the owner),offered to pay for the vet & he felt awful about what happened. Upside; I'm sure his company will now implement a security policy which will insure the safety of clients & their animals. I cannot recommend this company enough. John came out on Memorial Day when we discovered thousands of bees had formed outside the house and several were in the bathroom. John explained their process and how they save the bees and take them to the bee farm. Additionally, once they remove as many bees as they can, they use non toxic oils to keep them away. John was extremely professional and spent a few hours removing the bees. He even had to climb on the roof to get better access to them.
