I went to Bru with a group of about 12 for happy hour last night and we had a great time! During their regular service hours, the space is large with a variety of seating. Big tables in the back and front, high tops in the middle and standard bar seating. Our server was fabulous. Super attentive and was happy to split checks based on what we got and was happy to close people out as they left the larger party. The truffle fries are INCREDIBLE. They are seasoned great and have a unique truffle sauce compared to the oil you typically see. We also grabbed an order of fried oreos that were just as great! On the weekends, this bar turns into a full night-club type space, it's a little too packed for my liking and typically brings in a more college aged group and caters to that crowd. While I don't think I'll be going back on a night-out, I'll certainly be back for happy hour!

As most of my reviews start - my boyfriend drove us to Philly for a day trip and we stumbled onto BRU Craft & Wurst on our walk to another restaurant. The place is big enough for all the tables to be spaced out at least a foot or two from each other, which is fantastic for someone who gets claustrophobic. The space has two entrances/exits one on Drury St. and one on Chestnut St. We arrived around 2/3pm on a Saturday and it wasn't really packed. Just a few tables and and a bar area were occupied. It was about half occupied by the time we left. I ordered the Wurst Plate with Chicken apple and Bratwurst sausages ($22) and my boyfriend had (I think it was called) The German Cheesesteak ($18) and a Weihenstephaner beer ($8). I am polish so I really liked my meal. It was homey. It is a personal preference, but I enjoyed the Bratwurst sausage better. My boyfriend usually tries different cheesesteaks when we are in Philly. He says he enjoyed it. I think it was my first time in a German restaurant in Philly and I didn't hate it. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service fast. The only thing was that the $15 drink was served in a smaller then usual glass and mostly filled with ice. It was called "Little Honey Will Dew" and overall it was very delicious. I asked for cranberry juice when I was done with my drink, but what I was served tasted like red dyed water. The server exchanged it for an orange juice ($3) which tasted a bit less watered down. When I looked at the receipt later at home I noticed an "operational fee." I don't really understand what that is... I usually see those on Uber Eats or other online services, but not for in person service... and no it wasn't tax, card fee or a tip we left...weird.

Excellent brats, delicious double-fried French fries, and a great selection of beers. The waitress was super nice, too.

Many beer choices! Very reasonable prices for draught beer. Food was tasty. Pub menu choices. The service was great. Not busy in a Thursday night. The food took a long time to come out even though it was not busy. It was loud inside. Hard to have a conversation with out using a loud voice. The music playlist was good.

They card u only if u come later on in the night. Was seated at a table, waiting for my date. The server was prompt and very attentive. Started off with a couple drinks (a dark beer and in a pear tree cocktail), chicken donner and buffalo cauliflower. The drinks and food was average but the price (guessing due to center City) was extra high.

Service wasn't super attentive -- was hard to even get water. The truffle fries were yummy but heavy-- lots of mayo. The space is well organized, with bar space and tables big enough to accommodate larger groups (perhaps up to 10-12 if you squeeze!). Very close to City Hall, a good place to stop by.

Great neighborhood pub with amazing selection of draft and bottled beers. Menu leans German, and we enjoyed our curry wurst and soft pretzel. Happy hour is a bargain, with $3 off draft beer and food specials. Friendly & helpful bartender.

Prior to leaving PA, me and my brother found our way into this bar. It was near closing so there weren't many people. I was able to check out all of the different drinks they offered along with the setting. It was really clean and they easily had over 50+ drinks and the theme was barrels. Everything seemed to be sitting on a barrel. The bar had several tvs each with a different station and the food menu was straight forward. I had a sprite and a pretzel it was pretty good.

Yes please! I'm a sucker for good German food/beer. Was actually walking to another restaurant and saw the sign, German food and tons of craft beers on tap.... Yes please! Bartenders were super attentive, my Wurst plate was the best I've had! Yep better than that other large German restaurant that starts with an "H". Only thing that was missing was a good creme puff... but loved the Plank Dunkler Weizenbock too!

Came for lunch from the Philly Flower Show nearby. Good beer selection on taps, plus an extensive bottle list. We ended up with a Pilsner and Kolsch, and paired that with a Pretzel and beer cheese as appetizer. My partner got a salad with Chicken, while I opted for the Chicken Sandwich - both entrees were excellent.

So I was in town with some coworkers for the Army vs Navy football game and we decided to grab dinner and some drinks. We stopped into Brü since most of downtown was full and they had some space. Our seating was reminiscent of a picnic table, which was rustic to say the least but we had good views of the TVs. We placed our order of the food while the game was taking place. Fries were good, chicken sandwich lacked spice but had decent crunch. We got charged extra for ranch and hot sauce...after we ordered wings. And a extra $2 for ordering something neat. Which wasn't even a larger pour... Service was relatively quick but when it came time to get the check, the bill came out as one check. We were all separate so we asked her to split the checks into four. I thought it would've been a simple task, but apparently our waitress had no idea what items belong to whom. I thought no problem, we can tell you who had what but then she handed us a pen, asked us to split up and mark down, which belong to who. Never in my life have I been to an establishment where they asked me to split the check myself. So after we had marked off on the receipt which items belong to whom, and gave her our credit cards, she came back for a fourth time asking if we can just write it and total it on the back of the receipt since it was too confusing for her. Once we finished detailing which items belong to whom we decided to finish watching the game. The manager at the time then asks us to get up since they needed to seat more people after only sitting there for 10min but then told us that he would compensate us with a drink. Never coming back.

I sent an email with questions about our reservation and never received a response. The online booking portal doesn't provide much detail, and while the website has a "Call" option, it wasn't very useful. I received multiple automated reminder emails stressing that we needed to arrive 15 minutes early because race times wouldn't be extended for late arrivals, which is completely understandable. I just wish there had been the same level of attention when it came to responding to customer questions. Once we arrived, the experience was much better. They gave our group a private seating area, which was a nice surprise. Our server was friendly, checked on us periodically, and never pressured us to order food. We chose to have drinks only, and it was nice to relax before and after racing. The simulators were a lot of fun, and everyone in our group enjoyed the experience. The only thing to know is that the races move quickly--you only have about two minutes between sessions to switch drivers, so there's not much time to explore the venue or step away without paying attention to when you're up next. Overall, it was a fun and unique way to celebrate a birthday. We'd definitely come back, although probably as a special once-a-year outing because of the cost. If F1 Arcade improved its communication before events, this easily could have been a five-star experience.

Fun experience, but definitely on the pricey side for the amount of actual racing you get…read more F1 Arcade is a pretty cool F1 racing simulation where you get to drive an F1-style race car on various real F1 tracks. The simulators do a good job of making you feel like you're actually racing--the seat moves and rumbles as you go around the track, accelerate, brake, and presumably make questionable racing decisions. One warning: if you get motion sickness easily, this might not be the activity for you. Between the moving seat and the racing visuals, your brain may start wondering why your body is sitting still while your car is doing 200 mph. The place itself is huge, with 40+ simulators. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised by how empty it was. They also have a bar and serve food, but we were there strictly for the racing. We had a party of 4, so we did the team racing option and were given two simulators. Each of us got three races, and the system paired us up differently for each race, so everyone got a chance to race against everyone else. That part was actually pretty fun and made it feel more competitive. The downside is that the races are REALLY short--about 3 minutes each. So for roughly $30 per person, we each got only about 10 minutes of actual racing time across the three races. Once you factor in getting everyone set up and waiting between races, our entire visit was under an hour. The staff was friendly and did a good job explaining how the simulators work and how to check when your next race was starting, so the whole process was pretty easy. Overall, this was a fun experience, especially if you're an F1 fan or enjoy racing games. The simulators are definitely more immersive than playing a racing game at home. That said, the price is hard to overlook considering how little actual driving time you get. We had a good time, but at around $30 per person for about 10 minutes of racing, this is probably a "do it once for the experience" kind of activity rather than something we'd do regularly.
