From Veronica, who answers the phone and arranges for the truck to come out and pick up your donations, to the on-time and friendly guys in the truck, and the nice folks that staff the thrift store, you can't go wrong! If you don't have a small car, however, have your donated items picked up. Much easier than trying to find parking to drop them off yourself. read more

Best thrift store EVER! Antique silver and fine china as far as the eye can see. I just walked out with two carloads of stuff for an event I am putting on. Such nice employees too! Big shout out to our man Mordecai. Seriously, how have I never been here before? I am addicted. read more

Went here to donate recently, everybody working there seemed to have a bad attitude, which is understandable considering the nature of the shop, but it certainly isn't a happy place, the cashier was the only one that was friendly. I wouldn't go back again personally. read more

This place is filled to the brim with everything! Tons of clothes, mirrors, fabric, dishes, books, crystal, dining table sets, pianos...etc etc etc. I've bought some pretty awesome antique Chinese pots and other knick knacks. However, I always find their stuff a bit pricey. You can sometimes haggle for a lower price, but who likes to do that all the time? I would give them a 5 star if it wasn't for that and the parking situation. They have like 4 or 5 spots in front of the store, otherwise you have to try and find some street parking. read more

I stop in a few times each month. A bit disappointed that so much of the inventory is there for weeks and weeks on end and not necessarily discounted over time. They are so filled with stuff that sometimes it is almost impossible to wiggle ones way through the aisles. the prices tend to be on the high end - surprising at times. But from time to time you can find an amazing treasure - the surprise finds will keep me coming back and my willingness to negotiate a better price. Just wish they would cut some prices and make the shopping a bit easier. Always happy to leave my money with a nonprofit. read more

Have been trying for several months to 'spend' my Goupon voucher; repeatedly searching both stores. DON'T GO! Save yourself from their junk! Over priced; dirty, very soiled, clothing and filthy stores (rat droppings at the Culver store); poor lighting; rude employees; and items that are shoved under tables and haven't been moved for years! Believe me; it's true. But if you do decide to go, you can't say I didn't warn you. Be sure to wear old clothes; be prepared to get down on the floor to dig through stuff that should have been thrown away long ago. If you are lucky and find something you can't live without, ask for a lower price; I saw people asking and getting it. read more

A great shop filled with half furniture and home goods as well as vintage clothing. I went looking for a coffee table and sofa but didn't find anything there. But, it's a really fun place just to look around and they have an excellent selection of vintage clothes! read more

This place is totally hit or miss but I enjoy it. I bought a Yelp deal ($10 for $20 worth of goods) and used it to buy a $20 pair of Cole Haan sandals. I didn't have the exact change for the tax on $20 (I was short about 50 cents) and the cashier told me not to worry about it. So nice! Their stuff can be a bit overpriced for a thrift store, but I have found some great deals on designer goods. Definitely worth checking out if you like thrifting. read more

I love this place. I stopped by this place on a first date. We ate, saw a movie, and then drove passed this place just to see what we could find. I was amazed. It's like a treasure hunt. My date and I found so many nice things. I found a black coach leather wallet, a almost brand new pair of jimmy cho shoes, two sweaters one from Max studio the other from Ralph Lauren, a gap sweatshirt, a makeup bag, and a pair of shoes that my friend picked out. Guess what we paid? 65$. When we got home, the shoes that my date picked out were well worth 200$. Even better, my date paid for the bill. This is the Neiman Marcus of thrift stores! An amazing collection of art and antiques along with all the other kinds of things you would expect to find in a thrift store. The prices are not always cheap but the quality is stunning. The staff are extremely friendly and the delightful Andrea was most helpful on my visit. I moved to Culver City in 2007, into a rental house, and am close to the Helms Bakery. Thank God I did not get carried away buying 'new' furniture from the Bakery. When I discovered Beit T'shuvah, it was like a dream come true. I furnished nearly my entire 2-bedroom home with hi-quality, American-made, solid wood, antiques from this excellent place: solid oak dining table, vintage 1910, seats 8 for $80; solid wood 2-drawer bedroom chest, turn of 20th c. for $80; a giant 16 drawer very antique (c. 1860's? with square nails and hand-carving) tall bureau, for only $600--this would be $2K in an antique shop! Everything I've purchased has been for a fraction of what you will pay from an antique or fine furniture store--you just have to keep your eyes peeled and visit more than once. I have read many of the reviews below, and some people have had negative experiences, I'm sorry for that. I've only had positive events with the staff, the delivery guys, everyone. I've shopped here probably 10 times, last time I bought an entire large bag full of 1950's vintage kitchenware--all made in the U.S.A., solid steel/metal utensils, egg beater, GE Iron, solid heavy glass tumblers, etc...all for $25!! A person could never 1) buy all 15 of the items I got at a normal Target, 2) get the same heavy steel & glass quality; and 3) get MADE IN USA. Everywhere today, all products are 'Made in China', which I'm sick of. If you just want 'cheap' for cheap's sake, then this place may not be for you and sure there are other stores--but if you want good hi-quality furniture that you simply cannot find today and don't want rain-forest teak, or Chinese mahogany, then this store you will love. This is one of the best thrift shops in all of Los Angeles. They always have great merchandise and the prices are amazing. The selection is always changing and always interesting. I have shopped here several times and have gotten to know a few of the employees. I must say, Andrea is by far the most helpful. She has a vast knowledge of antiques, art, crystal, silver and other collectibles - all of which I am interested in. Besides being incredibly knowledgeable about what she is selling, she is extremely engaging and seems to genuinely love helping people find what they are looking for, as well as other hidden treasures. Andi is one of the store's "hidden treasures". Beit T'Shuvah Thrift Store is fortunate to have her! I know you will find your own treasures here. Be prepared to spend money!!! read more

I came in here looking for an antique silver serving tray with some decorative design engraved and i found TWO that i loved. One needed some polishing which is to be expected when looking for antiques the other was already polished and gorgeous. The prices were a bit high $35 for a 12" diameter round tray and $50 for the really ornate serving tray but i spoke with Angie (i think that was her name) and she gave me a great deal... ($60 for both). All in all i was really happy with my finds. I would say always ask if that's the best they can do because some stuff was way over priced, and the time it takes to rummage through everything you should be getting a better deal. read more

Used to be a great place..when it first opened up. People were friendly and helpful. I've been a regular. Now.....hmmm, how shall I put this....the bar has been tremendously lowered. The staff, especially the manager...rude. They charge retail prices for anything that may have a little more quality than garage sale crap.It's no wonder alot stuff does not move. I see things in there that are priced up to 2500.00 bucks. Of course, it's because they are "vintage" (A term I'd use lightly, they're damaged). I've seen items where the prices are higher than antique shops, Ebay and Ikea. Come here with the attitude that you're not going to pay the best thrift prices in town. It's not a true thrift shop. In fact, expect to overpay (ie: an old stinky crochet blanket for 15 bucks, Mexican pottery you find cheaper on touristy Olvera street). If you try to nicely tell the manager this, she barks at you because obviously she knows you're on to her. The last time (and I mean LAST) I walked out because it became a tense situation when she changed a price on me as soon as she noticed the item wasn't trash. I really did like this shop 3 years ago. But there are so many better places with nicer items, fairer prices, and polite, drama free staff. read more

I think this thrift store is confusing. I'm basing my review on looking for housewares. seems like it might be a little easier to find clothes. as for anything else, you need to be willing to put some time in. there is tons of stuff jammed in every corner. I managed to find an electric sander for my husband for like 20 bucks. and I found a brand new pottery barn rug for 25. the prices are all over the place. a lot of things are way overpriced for a thrift store. the rug is a good example. I saw an older kinda dirty rug in the back marked at 350. then they give me a new rug for 25. makes no sense. I saw some amazing antique light fixtures for 20 while a gross old 1970's lamp was marked at 40. I also saw a used space heater that was marked 30. when I looked online that was the price on amazon if you bought it new. I know this place supports a good cause which is why I shopped here. but I think if they lowered prices a bit they would make even more money and clear out some of their messy unorganized inventory. read more
