It was okay! + big & tasty sandwich + chips and dip + clean bathrooms - bag of chips and 2 tbsps of dip = $8 - waited over 30 mins for food - out of Diet Coke

Large Hebrew Hammer and Large Beef Cheese Steak

I have slightly mixed feelings because the food was good but my body was wrecked the next day. I tried their Philly cheesesteak and the Hebrew Hammer. They offer both a small and a large, and I got both larges which may have been my first mistake. Those sandwiches were absolute units and stuffed to the brim. I'm obsessed with sesame bread they use for the sandwiches, and you can definitely tell they make them in-house with how fresh and fluffy it is. Between the 2 sandwiches, I like them for different reasons. However, I am very lactose intolerant so I could only have a few bites of the Philly cheesesteak but that may have played a crucial role in my demise the next day. Definitely add some hot peppers to this one! It was tender, savory, and the peppers added a slight kick to cut through the richness of the beef and cheese. The Hebrew Hammer was delicious, but I found the spicy mustard slathered along the spine of the bread to be a bit too horseradish-forward. Overall, solid sandwiches with insane portion sizes.

"The best hoagie in D.C. is at Bub & Pop's," my editor at The Washington Post always said. When their original downtown location shut down, I was nervous, but they live on- just in a very different space. Meeting a good friend here for lunch on a Friday, here's our experience. 1) Food: With Philly roots, they know how to do sandwiches. You can't go wrong but note that the portion are HUGE. They are so big, it can be messy to eat. I enjoy their beef cheesesteak with hot peppers. It's delicious with the melted cheese on top. 2) Space: It's massive with a bar and plenty of seating. There are also a small bowling alley and arcade games. 3) Service: It's kind. You order from a tablet and staff bring you your food when it's ready. 4) Area: It's along Florida Avenue NW at a very busy intersection. DO NOT TRY TO PARK ON THE STREET NEARBY. Instead, park in the parking garage or snag free parking at the garage behind La Cosecha and walk over. It's a very busy area now with apartment buildings, the Metro, shops, and restaurants.

So here's the thing the cheesesteak is mid at best. But the fact they cut it with the foil around it, the foil gets into the meat. Not safe. Honestly just wouldn't return

When I tell you I had no expectation but it exceeded whatever I was thinking. The wings and them cornbread stick were definitely the star of the show. It was delicious. Now I will say that when I entered the hostess was the friendliest and she acted as if I was supposed to know that you must order from the tablet on the counter. This was my first time visiting so a warmer welcome would have made the experience better. I would definitely order from here again.

This is nice bar for friends gathering and games for families with kids. There is a good amount of area of seating and even a couch by the bowling lanes. There is small or even large seating depending on party size. The food is pretty good and everything is house made if I remember correctly. I like the sandwiches since they make the bread fresh every morning. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. You order from the kiosk and get a number and when your order is ready they will yell your number.

Inspired by the Guy Fieri stop, I was looking forward to a mom and pop vibe but arrived to a new location that felt a little bit like a blend of a bar meets arcade. Sat at the bar and you had to order each time individually which was a bit weird...no open tabs if sitting at bar and gratuity included each time in bill. Nevertheless, excited to try the Hebrew hammer. Enjoyed the creamy slaw. Corned beef tender and somehow mild on saltiness for multiple meats. I'd go with the Italian next time because that was offered hot. Hebrew was not. Glad I tried it but the Italian is speaking to me if I make it there again.

Absolutely legendary sandwich spot in DC. I was so glad to discover they decided to to move locations to Noma! I visited when they first opened this new location so menu options were quite limited, but my sandwich was very tasty despite not being my usual order. Although, I got some serious food jealousy towards my friends who ordered the chicken/eggplant parm sandwiches. Staff were very friendly and the new space definitely has strong potential!! It looks like a great hangout spot.

So so amazing! I ordered a to-go order but will be going back to sit and enjoy the games, and their Italian ice they make their (which you can add ice cream to!!). I picked up their fried chicken cutlet hoagie for myself, with provolone dulce, hoagie relish, arugula, Roma tomatoes, and their homemade vinaigrette and pecorino Romano My friend wanted their Beanie's feta with eggplant caponata, hazelnut gremolata, caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, grilled asparagus, roasted red peppers, oven-dried tomatoes, balsamic, grilled fennel, arugula and pecorino Romano We grabbed their French onion dip and chips which were to die for too, will definitely be getting again The sandwiches were huge (I was able to divy mine up into a few meals), but we were surprised the onion dip was small. Still worth it though!!

One of the most legit sandwich restaurants in DC. I'm so glad they moved to the larger space in NoMa, I think they've only gotten started there and I'm excited for their menu to expand. The bread is freshly baked, and I love the flavor bomb in each sandwich. Order is via self service screens when you walk in and they call out your order or bring it to your table. Plenty of seating and really cozy!

Great local sandwich spot! All the subs are great and loaded. The Italian Hoagie is my favorite, it comes with a bunch of Parmesan cheese on top it's great, but the Meatball Parm and Chicken Parm are also awesome too! The sandwiches are like $17-ish each, which isn't bad considering how huge they are. Great spot with a very cute store in NE!

New location in Noma, pretty incredible sandwiches. Huge sandwiches, you could easily share. Subpar bar, went during happy hour for $5 beer, $9 wine. Wish they had draft beer.

I love an Italian Sub, but I'm picky. It must be grilled/baked. Let's just say Bub and Pop's happily fulfilled that request! The Bub's Italian Hoagie will now be my go-to there. One downfall is they're a type pricey, but the hoagie is large so you can share or save some for later.

Excellent cheesesteak and pickles. Always hits the spot after a long day of work. Can't wait for the liquor license to be effective.

I live ~10 min drive north from this location. This is my second time coming for a private event…read moreand both times I've come, I've said out loud, "I should order takeout from them once a week!!" They operate a deli counter in the front and a bar / speakeasy in the back. You can rent out the bar space for private events. Last night, we had the space (and a bartender!) to ourselves, along with 3-4 different types of sandwiches. There is something SPECIAL about their seeded Italian bread. The perfect flakiness and texture. I enjoyed the chicken fontina and Italian. The caprese was my least favorite--not sure if they use a balsamic or what, but the flavor wasn't coming through. Before I left, I decided to order a large chicken cheesesteak to take home for lunch the next day. It was a bit of a risk to order a hot sandwich that I would have in the fridge overnight but I heated it up in our air fryer/toaster oven for all of 10 mins and the bread was good (not soggy) and the sandwich itself was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't stop to take a photo until the last bite :) It's a decent size sandwich--I ate half for lunch (along with my own chips and veggies) and have another half for tomorrow so while it's not cheap, I think it's reasonable.

This place fell way off…read more I was fooled by social media and ordered their Thanksgiving sub... false advertising. Did not look like the video - all bread and extremely SKIMPY. The worst part is they charged me nearly $20 for that abomination. What a rip off. I thought they were decent pre-covid, but apparently they just don't seem to care anymore. Other places make loaded sandwiches... save your money!!
