I am so happy that Keene has Buba! I had gone to their Manchester location a few years ago so was so happy when they decided to open a location downtown. Since then, I've been so many times and the chicken pho is my go to and it definitely hits the spot. I've really enjoyed the crab rangoon egg rolls and the calamari as appetizers and the baos are a perfect little snack as well. Service is always super friendly even when they're really busy. Amazing little spot in downtown Keene! Very fresh and high quality ingredients, especially for the area. I had the steak pho and fries, my friend had the Japanese curry ramen and fried gyoza. Everything was great. The fried chicken in her ramen was a huge highlight for me. A little bit pricey but not crazy compared to other Main St restaurants. Would 100% recommend stopping by. read more

The rare steak Pho was very tasty and a good lunch deal at $18, which includes an appetizer like gyoza, cucumber salad or crab rangoon eggrolls. Fern, despite being new, provided top-notch service and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Thank you! Dealing with the sniffles, wanted something warm and filling. My go to is rare beef Pho. Buba was all but next door to where I was staying and placed an order to go. The Pho was really good and on par with some the best I've had. Only complaint was the broth was not really hot but fixed with a microwave. Also I specifically asked the person bagging it for me if there was sriracha sauce in the bag and was assured it was. It wasn't. Next time, I'll check the bag before I leave. read more

The hardest part about eating here was picking what to order then really liking what I ordered and not wanting to share. Ramen and pho bowls were absolutely to die for and all the buns were amazing. Although I wouldn't normally order fries at a Ramen noodle joint i will probably think about those for the rest of my life. Little expensive for lunch, but good for a family style meal. I'm writing this review after 4 DoorDash orders and 1 in-person visit on a Saturday night. The food is good, but very pricey for a single bao bun. To put in perspective, single short rib bao is $8 in restaurant and $10 on DoorDash. But clearly we liked it, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered 4 times via DoorDash. My real problem lies in service. When we arrived, there were 2 couples, one at the bar, the other sitting at a table, getting their food comp'd. They had a sign to wait for seating, and we stood there awkwardly for several minutes waiting to be acknowledged by like 6 staff members bustling around. The number of staff members stood out, because it very clearly outnumbered the customers. Eventually someone approached us to be seated, where we decided what we wanted to order rather quickly, and stacked the menus, to serve as a clear indicator we were ready to order. And then we waited....and waited.....and waited. The couple whose food at to be comp'd upon our arrival were checked on several times, a waiter was casually ate ramen standing in clear view, tables were getting wiped down, glasses were cleaned, and we sat there waiting to even be acknowledged. I checked my watch at 8:12PM, just notating the time, when I watched a waiter behind the bar casually place his feet up on the interior bar counter while eating. I made it a point to watch, because that was already not okay, but also I wanted to see if prioritizing cleaning tables over taking orders extended to wiping off the bar after placing your feet on it --- it doesn't. I waited until 8:22, about 22 minutes after being seated, before just getting up and leaving to go to Applebees for a complete opposite experience. My 1-star review is coming from the clear lack of respect for sanitary bar area, inability to prioritize customer service, the lack of respect for their workplace & customers and disproportionate prices for plating size....all within a single restaurant. read more

They serve up first rate pho. The ban mi was also great. Portions were big and it wasn't terribly expensive. I would go again!

We were seated at the last available table and treated very warmly. I had the amazingly fresh and colorful dragon fruit cocktail and we ordered the kicking crunch shrimp. Wow! I special ordered the spicy creamy noodle with rice noodles and crispy fried chicken. This was like nothing I have had in New Hampshire, for sure! YUM! It was outstanding! It is always special when you just stumble into a great stop. We were in Keene for the Music Festival (but we are locals). We were in between meals and was just looking for a place to have a cold drink and a couple of appetizers. We grabbed a seat on sidewalk . It is always fun to watch people, especially on a beautiful late summer day. Hunter our server ( and all of the staff) were fantastic...made sure we had everything we needed. A glass of of Prosecco, and Pino Grigio for my wife were perfect...good inexpensive glasses of wine. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The Crab Rangoon was crispy on the outside with a creamy flavorful crabmeat rangoon filling. The Gyoza was perfect. Eight dumplings, perfectly fried with a flavorful pork filling and a ginger dipping sauce. We then got the steamed short rib bao sandwich. Warm soft bun with a great short rib mix. It had a perfect amount of heat. Just enough to slowly settle towards your tastebuds as the bite found its way into your throat. A great find when we were not really looking.
