We came in during an outdoor concert, and it was busy -- but Lauren absolutely crushed it! She managed both the outside tables and the indoor seating without missing a beat. She was super sweet, friendly, and incredibly prompt the entire time. Even with the crowd, she made us feel taken care of and never rushed. This place is very accommodating to its customer. We had a difficult six pack of people to work with and went through three tables until we had the correct one. Our service by Nicole (from Brooklyn) was outstanding! (even though I couldn't understand her. I had a translator.) Everybody thought their food was very good but we agree the best dish was the Maker Mark Salmon. Don't let the chain fool you. Give it a try here in Daytona. read more

Out here vacationing with my wife, daughter, and adorable grandson. A storm came in and we were looking for a place within walking distance of our hotel, and duck out of the rain as much as possible, so we ended up here. We had a great experience when we dined in Maui, so figured this would be a great experience for the kiddos. Well... it could have been better. Don't get me wrong, the food was fantastic! For sure... but the service was pretty abysmal. It took forever to get any service, but not too blame the staff too much... you see, it was extremely slow that day from the rain, and they let a lot of the staff go early... then the sun broke out... and the people started to come out. Well... as you can imagine they were very understaffed. So... we waited and waited... then finally got our waters. We took advantage of the time and readied our order for when we first seen our waitress. We got to enjoy our time chatting, but the kitchen was very backed up and it took quite awhile for our meals to show. My daughter ordered the Shrimp Shack Mac & Cheese and it was delish! He wife had the "Of Course We Have Scampi" linguine dish... which made her heart sing. I had the "Dumb Luck Coconut Shrimp"... and that Cajun marmalade was superb! Overall, the experience was so so, based on the long waits. It's understandable, but management shouldn't have let so many go... especially during prime time despite the weather conditions. So I was here last night. There was about 20 of us. It was my first time here. I loved it. Has a nice gift shop with alot of cool items. The food was delicious. It did take a Lilttle while to come out, but we didn't mind waiting. We were told we had 2 servers, Angelica and Lauren. Lauren kept checking in on us making sure we didn't need anything. Not to sure what the other server was doing but we didn't see much of her. But that's OK. Lauren took care of us. Lauren did trivia with us which was pretty fun. Lauren definitely made our time better. She was funny and very helpful, and might I add cute too. Angelica not so much. But all and all it was a good dinner. Definitely recommend. First time customer and I liked the decor. Since I am a huge fan of the movie, I enjoyed seeing all the memorabilia. We were seated quickly, and we should have paid attention as we were seated next to a table of 4 women that talked loudly the entire time and made it unenjoyable for us. There is a nice drink menu and many beers on tap and in bottles. We had a server in training as well as a seasoned server and both were great. I settled on a Fat Tire. They told us that once we were ready to order we should flip the licenses plate that said Run Forest Run which was sitting on our table. The menu is slanted more towards shrimp dishes than anything. I settled on Captain Dan's Surf and Turf which was ribs and grilled shrimp with fries. We didn't wait long and our food arrived. Everything looked good and tasted well also. The ribs were slim pickings, but the sauce was good. The shrimp were grilled and I would have liked a dipping sauce. Service was very good the whole time. We had internet which was odd. I am a Landry's Club member and had a $25 birthday gift to use. Because of that, the server surprised me with a birthday dessert. So nice!! read more

I ordered a cup of New England Clam Chowder and the Stuffed Shrimp. Both were serve hot. The soup was disappointing. It was thin and bland. The shrimp was excellent. Overall Value - Very Good. She was working her tail off - looked like she had half the tables in the damn restaurant - and she was super attentive and appreciative of our patience but the service was great, there was nothing she had to be worrying about. I had asked her for a pitcher of water from the jump because I didn't want her to be running back and forth for me because i notoriously suck down restaurant water like no other, this woman came back with 3 extra waters just for me. The shrimp was tasteless. The service was bad. The food had so much salt to cover that poor taste that when I returned home, I drank more than 40 oz of water in less than 2 hours and I was still thirsty. The server did not offer glasses with the beer. When I ordered a dessert, only one spoon came with it. When aaked for a second spoon, she disappeared for 10 or 15 minutes. I finally had to find her. Sorry. There is no excuse for making someone to wait while the food is on the table. I never plan to return. It ruined date night. read more

My family and I had a great time here. The atmosphere is pretty fun. Our waitress was great, since the food was taking awhile even though there was only us and about 13 other people there, she had us and the two families next to us do a trivia game on Forest Gum movie. That was fun. The food was decent but all their seafood is frozen which is a bummer since we are literally on the beach. We got some swag and that was totally worth it. Incredibly awful experience. It was a party of 6 & we were sat immediately. Place was mostly empty so should've had no issue getting food. Ordered drinks & apps as soon as we sat down. 30 minutes into us being there & not a single foot item was delivered to us. Waitresses and waiters look disinterested. We saw that most waiters and waitresses came out of the kitchen with drinks but never any food. Would've been able to be ok with if there was a full packed restaurant but it wasn't. Ended up just paying for drinks & leaving for another eatery. read more
