Ok, maybe you shouldn't have high expectations just because you LOVED the movie. Bubba wasn't actually there cooking. The staff was friendly, the service was good. The food was...ok. I expected more flavor from this place. My mom started with the clam chowder, which adding some hot sauce said it was pretty good. She's not as critical as me, but we are Mexican and anticipate flavors. I had the burger and fries. Can't really go wrong with that. But if I was blindfolded, I couldn't tell you if it was from Denny's, Applebee's or Bubba Gump. My mom had the accidental fish and shrimp. She got a whopping 3 shrimp (yes, 3 shrimp) and a thin fillet o' fish. I think we counted 4 cherry tomatoes. She added hot sauce, salt, pepper and a dash of hope to her food. She was so disappointed. Next time we will just stop by Long John Silver's so she can get her seafood fix. Since the disappointment was too real, this is the only picture I felt worthy of representing Bubba Gump. Stopped in town for 1 night and stayed at the Golden Nugget my family and I went to dinner here I didn't mind the 45mins wait 1st off our server was very nice and friendly. Our food wasn't. 1st the appetizer run around America the chicken hush puppies and shrimp was OK the spinach dip was what the dip should taste like but COLD yuck Our dinner came out #1 dish was the Shrimp New Orleans it was cold and overcooked the shrimp rubbery and tuff #2 dish Shrimp scampi was good but not hoy enough and lastly the #3 Crab boil the deal breaker NOT in a good way was bland no flavor the corn and potatoes was like if they just boiled it in unsalted water and then sprinkled on a pinch of Cajon season I asked for garlic butter to maybe salvage or rescue the crab which I love NO LUCK the butter was no garlic butter no flavor just a little salt may have changed things but by then my appetite was gone 2hrs into the whole ordeal waiting time plus BAD FLAVORLESS FOOD $28 dollars for a dish that wasn't worth $10 I would have definitely enjoyed a 10 dollar meal at In&Out across the street. So sad because I have eaten at Bubba Gump on many different occasions but never this disappointing. Ruin the lovely family dinner. We took my best friend here for her birthday dinner on Thursday around 7:30pm. There was only 4 in our group. We were seated right away on the deck like we asked, and they were not very busy. After we were seated the hostess sat 3 more table outside after us, all were parties of 5-8 people. We sat completely Unacknowledged by ANYONE on staff for at least 20mins. While 2 other servers and a bus boy walked past us cleaning tables, running drinks etc. Then there were servers helping 2 of the other tables that had been seated after us. (I found out later, that one of those servers was Also our server.) So I went to find a manger. I found her inside, where there were very few other tables occupied, and explained that I wasn't very happy with the fact that we had been completely ignored for 20mins. and that other tables who came after us had already been helped. It was Very OBVIOUS that she DID NOT CARE, made an excuse about being short staffed, and big parties etc. and told me my server was not even outside at that time, but she would send her out. Finally a few mins later our server Heather, comes over and takes our drink order, doesn't apologize for ignoring us or Anything. We didnt even get WATER for our table until we had been there for almost an hour!... Our food took so long that all the other tables seated outside After us, either already had their food, Or they were LEAVING by the time we got our food. The food was good once we finally got it, but it wasn't even Hot, it def had been sitting for awhile before being brought out to our table. And the salad was the LAST thing out. Its a salad! How does it take longer to make a salad then it does to grill and fry shrimp and fish, and ribs!?! And our server avoided coming to our table to even check in on us like the plague!! And the 'manager' never even came to check on us, Not once! Listen, I understand that things are different right now, and everyone is working with a shorter staff, serving less people and times are weird etc. BUT all of us either work or have worked in restaurants/guest services and this is SO UNACCEPTABLE. I was told rhe only time they had was 8:30 pm checked in and they said we do not have a reservation. She says you must have made it at the other one. You have two in Laughlin? We went to dinner there at around 530pm on Sept 30, we sat outside on the dock above the river . I now REGRET we sat outside. When the sun was setting THOUSANDS of flying mats invaded the area. The only good thing about this place is that you get to keep the souvenir cups when you order a drink. We ordered our drinks and got them pretty quickly but after a couple sips my date noticed there was a fly in his drink. We looked all around and our waitress was nowhere to be found so we flagged down a waiter walking by and we told him what was wrong. We never even heard an apology. The first thing out of his mouth was that since the weather was changing they were getting a lot of water nats and he walked away and had the bartender make a new drink. Food was ok, nothing too special about it. My date's shrimp scampi was a little on the cold side and the bacon in my burger was completely cold as if they just pulled a couple strips out of the fridge. Once we got the bill I noticed that they did remove the charge for the drink with a fly in it and charged us for the fresh drink they made him. I asked the waitress about it and she said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked for the manager and he told me that since we drank it, we had to be charged for it and there was nothing he could/would do about it or all the water nats that they get!!!! I have always wanted to go to the Forrest Gump restaurant called Bubba Gump, it was great! Lots of cool movie themed decor and a gift shop too. I got Clam Chowder and my significant other got the Tilapia and both were very good. We liked how this was one of the few restaurants to have outdoor seating right on the river. I had never been to one of these but my fiancée had been to the Long Beach, CA venue. We had to wait but it was worth it to sit outside on the patio that overlooks the river. Service was excellent - good suggestions made, plenty of time to let us decide. When my fiancée's dish had cold broccoli and a shrimp skewer that appeared to have raw shrimp, they popped to and quickly, professionally took care of it - ultimately letting her order something else. Once it arrived, they made sure she was happy and there was no hassle with the final check. The teamwork in service was stellar - I will come back to this location alone for the service. I ate Bubba Gumps late Thursday afternoon April 15, 2021. I was seated immediately on the outside deck overlooking the Colorado River. I was hesitant to eat here after reading so many mediocre reviews but my mother in law insisted. My wife & I ordered baby back ribs & fries. A side order of spinich & artichoke dip and their raspberry tea. Everything sat before me tasted delightful. And the young lady, Heather attending the table was very good. I carried a new cup of raspberry tea with me when I departed. All of my concerns about Bubba Gump's Restaurant are gone. The next evening we went back and I enjoyed the fish and chips. Last night my husband and I were gambling in your casino and decided to eat dinner at bubba gumps. We had been to the original one long ago and it was outstanding. So we were really excited to have some great shrimp. We sat outside and the ambience was wonderful. Our table was clean and the hostess was nice. We ordered appetizers of hush puppies and the large peel and eat shrimp. And a bowl of clam chowder. For dinner we split the fried dinner feast. It all came out in a timely fashion and the chowder was good, but that's where the good ended. The hush puppies were gummy and tasted like soggy under cooked bread, the shrimp were so small and not cleaned well. The garlic seasoning was good and they were cooked ok, they tasted ok but the shrimp were the smallest you can buy. Nothing like the original bubba gumps. The dinner was awful. The fried fish tasted like it had cinnamon in the breading, and there was so much breading you could not even taste the fish. The fried shrimp were cooked so hard you could hardly bite them. The hush puppies in the dinner plate were worse than the appetizer hush puppies. The fries were ok. We didn't eat the dinner and the waitress didn't even come by to check on us so when she dropped the check off I said the food was not good. She said oh, ok and left. I'll never come back again. This restaurant was chosen by my teenage son last night for Christmas dinner. What a disappointment. The mac and cheese was dry, the shrimp on the combo plates were also dry and all were luke warm. The manager came out to tell me that the cook had burnt the stuffed shrimp that I had ordered, so I had to chose something else. He did take my meal off the bill to compensate. This was our first time eating at this Bubba Gump's Restaurant. We had a reservation and when we showed up at the check in podium the hostess (Cheyenne) ignored us, she was too busy chatting with another co-worker. When she finally acknowledged us, she was not very friendly. Almost like it was an inconvenience to have to deal with us. Most hostesses are super friendly and inviting. Cheyenne's attitude is not a very good first impression for the restaurant. Then when we got seated and FINALLY got our waitress (Adriana) to help us, she was not rude, but not very friendly either. Almost like she didn't want to be there. After our food arrived, she didn't check on us. We had to flag down the manager to get a spoon for our soup and then for a crab leg cracker, and again for drink refills. When she did stop by at the end to say she would bring us the bill, she said she would be right back with hand wipes and the check. Well, that took another 10-15 minutes. Every time I would look for her, she would be standing in the back by the kitchen entrance, chatting with another employee. Looks like a trend for this restaurant. I sure hope the manager sees this review and pays better attention to her employees and their attitudes towards customers. If they don't want to be at work that day maybe they ought to just stay at home instead of making someone's dinning experience terrible. read more

Food was good, not great as far as the shrimp pasta goes, portion is a bit small for the price, but Dans Drunken shrimp grilled, sauteed in spices and half in garlic was big in portion and tasted great. The espresso fudge cake is great to have for dessert with vanilla ice cream. The patio view of the river was awsome and great at night. The server was kind and attentive but the price was a bit high for the drinks and the pasta, but it is a seafood restaurant with a great set up so i understand.
