I liked Bubba Jays, and was surprised their star rating isn't higher- we had planned to stop on a long trip. We got their smack burger, and thought it was a good smash burger- with the roll just slight outweighing the burger, but the roll held up nice- as smash burgers are messy. I would get any of their burgers variations if i ever drove by again. In not sure why they do it with Mac Salad, which comes standard with the burgers, but i got to try the fries with a kids chicken fingers meal- we thought the fries were good. Instead of upgrading the fries, we went for their ¢.50 wing deal- they were big and juicy, but needed a little more crisp and you need to add on pre packaged blue cheese for a buck each. We ordered ahead for takeout, not realizing they have "restaurant seating"- they were really nice when we asked if we could eat in. If driving through- I would stop again. read more

I have to say. When I was asked to go to bubby jays I put it off. Thought I was just another pa restaurant flop. Boy oh boy was I ever wrong. The food was so much better than i imagined. My smash burger a California was perfectly cooked. Still moist and juicy. I added bacon. Thick and crunchy. We got the smack fries. The fries were red hot and crunch the pickles were cold and crunchy the onions rings perfectly crunchy and the cheese sauce off the hook. They added a home made Mac salad. Omg simple plain and addictive. Incredible job guy! People don't know what you missing. Great for kids very chill relaxed atmosphere. Get up and go check it out. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was there for the very first time about a month ago. Place was empty. I was a little concerned. it was not the typical time that people would eat.. But was in a few seconds sitting down, which just came over. Explain it was my first time there and what does she recommend she said everything. I'm not gonna lie if I could've after the meal that I had and would've had everything. I got a smashed fries as a appetizer. They were fantastic their homemade cheese sauce with special spices and pickles and onion rings who would've thought about putting that all together, but it was really good. I also got a double smash burger that was fantastic once again with their smashed sauce(secret ingredients) and on my plate there was some very plain looking macaroni salad. I was there with my sister who is a cook and I knew that she was critique and everything from the start. but she knew I wanted to go to this place so she went with me. She took one bite of the macaroni salad and typically she would throw down her fork to stay away from it but this time she was housing it even though it was very plain looking the taste of the macaroni salad was fantastic. The portion sizes were fantastic and the food was fantastic. The owner came out and talked to us and I can't wait to return again for the third time.. I'm not stopping at five stars. Service was fine. Price is what is the rate now. Servings were big and tasty. Ambience is not flashy but quiet luncheonette ( at least at lunchtime). Take it home you will have plenty of good eats. read more

First off if I could give a better review than 5 stars I would. My wife and I arrived and were greeted by the waitress whom I forgot her name, was not only welcoming but thoughtful as my wife is blind and deaf. She sat us immediately and was a very attentive. She not only waited on us, made suggestions, and was making us feel like we've been coming there for years. Then, the owner, Mike, came out greeted us, made suggestions and the food when it came out had a flavor that was out of this world. I highly recommend this place as it is a gem and well worth every penny you may spend. Kudos Bubba Jays, awesome job!!! We'll be back! read more

This is only for the burgers. The rest of the food may, or may not be edible. After they screwed my wifes order up, (no cheese no mayo) she dont eat dairy. I doubt the cheese was dairy anyway, it looked like it came out of a bucket, they brought another one, but by then, mine was no longer hot. My double cheeseburger with bacon, only lasted 2 bites. There must have been a half pound of oil drenched bacon, that after 2 bites, my stomach warned me to stop, before I projictile vomot across the dining room. ****NOTE Bubba, more isnt always better. I have never written a negative review of any place I have visited or ordered food from, but tonight was absolutely horrible. It took multiple calls and 25 minutes on hold to place an order. Pick up my order and when I sat down to eat it both hotdogs didn't have any buns. Who does that? Then the cheese I asked for on the side for the fries is overcooked and split! For the money you charge for food this is ridiculous! Up until this evening I have had wonderful food and service but this is unacceptable! read more

My husband and I were staying at Babbling Brook Cottages for our anniversary. We know the usual food places near the cottage so we were happy to see a new place open! We ordered takeout. I called in to place our order and the woman on the phone couldn't have been nicer.We split a smash burger and it was delicious! Sometimes takeout can be iffy but we were happy that the burger not only traveled well it was like it just came off the grill. We wanted to try the wings tonight but it was really busy.
