This was my first time here and am glad I tried it out. The service was stellar for starters. Extremely professional and courteous staff. The food was excellent as well, it was a flavor party in my mouth (pause). I like that they made the fries to order as well as all of the proteins for the burritos. Very inconsistent. Our office stopped using this Location because if this. Ordered today I had enough points for free chips and salsa but the online ordering was not allowing the selection which is even worse when I paid 2.99 and the chips are stale and I didn't get salad I got pico! So frustrating to not get orders right! I will likely put this location on hold again. Oh and they may need to change the grease in the fryer read more

I rarely write reviews but being able to get a bowl with multiple things on it without being charged extra for 13-14$ instead of 17 without them skimping on the meal portions is all a man asked for. If I could give zero stars I would. I want to share my disturbing experience at Bubbakoos in Neptune City on Route 35. I had placed an order for pickup through Uber Eats. When I arrived at the specified time, my order was not ready, and no one acknowledged my presence upon entering. I left briefly, as it seemed the staff was overwhelmed. Upon returning, I was finally acknowledged, and I was told it would take a few more minutes. I patiently waited for 30 minutes as they continued to serve walk-in customers. When I inquired about the status of my order again, I was informed it would take even longer. I requested the order to be canceled, but I was told it couldn't be done. I then expressed my dissatisfaction with the service and the manager, who identified herself as such, raised her voice and told me to leave her store. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it. I feel deeply disappointed as I had to drive to this location to be treated awfully and I am disheartened by this experience. I will be sharing my negative experience with my colleagues, urging them not to order from this place. Treating customers with respect and decency should be a basic expectation. I even had to remind her to maintain social distancing. I will likely need to get a COVID test with the way this woman jumped from behind the counter and barked in my face. With so many amazing burrito/taco places around, I expected Bubbakoo's to come in fierce to face the competition with amazing food. I've been wanting to try it here since they've been popping up everywhere, including in North Jersey. I should have known when I walked in and saw nobody sitting or waiting in line that this was probably not going to be the best experience. For starters, there's no salsa bar like you might find in all of the main competitor's locations. Chips will run you between $3-4 depending on if you want guacamole or salsa with them. Burrito was $9. For $9 you'd expect it to come with chips or a drink at most. Our total bill came to $27 for 2 burritos, bag of (stale) chips & guac and 2 fountain drinks. Kind of on the higher side as far as price. While they make the food right in front of you, I didn't think anything looked very fresh. The beans in particular were dried up and bland tasting. Save your money and go somewhere else. There's too many other really good places around (including other chains) that blow this place out of the water. read more

I normally don't eat at this location and now I know why. First I think the soft taco shell was leftovers from the day before because it kept falling apart. They did a crappy job making the taco if that's even possible. So it's taco Koosday and they don't provide chips or salsa anymore. (Shrewsbury pulls the same crap, what's that cost them? 15 cents maybe). The table was dirty and the friggin bathroom was out of order, where you suppose to wash your hands? You DO eat this food with your hands. Go a few miles to the Wall or Eatontown locations. Manasquan and Wall have the nicest dining rooms and those locations don't have an attitude. I'll still go to Bubbakoos, just not there. Local Smoke is right across the street, spend a little more but you'll get a better meal. Not really sure whats going on with this place today, because normally i have great service here. Orderes dinner for take out tonight at 6:30 pm. After a hour call to check figuring its a busy holiday weekend , the perso who answeres refuses to check on the order status stating its leave the store now. Finally at 8:30 pm, call again and they say it is leaving now and rudely tell me "its the best they can do" after i ask what the delay is. This place is usually top notch im not sure what happened today. So once again .. i order and it takes almost 3 hours to get our food and its stone cold. The smell of dirty reused mop water filled my nose as soon as I entered. Although there were five employees present, only one was working - frantically making a large takeout of order by themself, with nobody helping their coworker or any of the customers. The manager - large man with red hair- came back inside from shouting on his cell phone and without washing his hands, dumps raw chicken on the grill and walks to the back where he was loudly announcing that he is done doing work but will not clock out or leave. Haven't had one good experience at this Bubbakoos and ONLY this one. When ordering my Chiwawa i wasn't asked if i wanted queso or nacho cheese then the man working continues to LATHER my meal in nacho cheese, then i asked for salsa, sour cream and sriracha ranch and i was told i'm only allowed 1 sauce topping, i have never heard such a thing, then to make it all worse i had the buy 10 entrees get 1 free promotion card filled out with 10 stamps and the worker continues to tell me he doesn't know how that works and i was forced to pay 12$ for a meal i ate half of and threw out, i am extremely disappointed and will never be coming back to this location again. These workers need better training and management, the guy seemed brand new and he was the only one running the whole store, i am not bashing the worker his superiors need to do their job better! read more

This Bubbakoo location really sucks. No sense duplicating what all of the other One Star Reviewers said about the food and service. They're all spot on - it really sucks. Before Bubbakoos came to Neptune City, I gladly drove to their Manasquan location and always had an enjoyable dining experience there - great food, fresh quality ingredients, upscale customers, and really friendly, welcoming wait staff. My advice to those owners of the Manasquan location, if they, indeed, are also the owners here, is to close this place ASAP before they totally destroy the great reputation you worked so hard to achieve. read more

This was my second visit to Bubbakoo's and everything was perfect. Excellent customer service, clean restaurant & restrooms and the food is AMAZING. The employees make you feel welcome & want to stay. The restaurant is clean, open, has plenty of seating, and lots of windows to watch the sunset. The food is made to order right in front of the customer and it is mouth watering. I used to like Bubbakoo's Burritos a lot, but the one in Neptune seems to be totally broken, after 2 failed delivery orders in the past 6 months, the last I got refunded my order by Chris Ives, he was very nice and sent via email, a gift card for my trouble, but after a half hour of downloading & installing their app to use the gift card it tells me the gift card has already been used...BS, it is difficult to order from Bubbakoo's, difficult to install & use their app, their food does not seem to be as good of quality as it used to be, they are a real mess, only because Chris was so accommodating do they even get 1 star. read more

Figured 3rd time the charm, my last 2 experiences from the neptune location was not so great ..I had ordered the $19.99 special pack and first one so so came with 8oz side but not chips second time had to ask for the chips I never looked in the box and when I got home I had no sides needless to say I said I had enough but my friend had ordered from another location when I visited her so I decided today to give my local one another try and ordered 23 entrees... once again total disappointment. I can only assume this location just does not bother instead of 8oz sides when it applies they give 2 oz portions and then the over burnt ques. 2 are good one will be greasy and overdone. I finally called at 9:04pm and i supposedly talked to a manager when I asked for one and he said that my order was never confirmed when i said I have a confirmation number. He said he would make it for me then hangs up on me. Then grub hub says they will refund me and they hung up on me as well. I will never use grub Hub or eat at this location again. We were driving by looking for a Mexican dinner spot and saw Bubbakoo's, so we decided to give it a try. When we walked in, we noticed the concept was similar to Chipotle. Our family ordered two vegetarian plates of nachos to share and they were great. The quantity was plentiful, the ingredients were fresh and it was much tastier than Chipotle. In the past this place has been one of my favorites. But after waiting almost 2 and a half hours for dinner to be delivered is a little crazy. When we ordered the food we were told about a hour wait. After waiting for a little over a hour. They did call us and said they were sorry. Also that it was on its way. That was about 8:30 at night. At 9:30 the food was delivered. I ordered Bubbakoo's last night via Seamless and it never arrived. I called after it was 30 minutes late. No answer. I called when it was an hour late. No answer. I called other locations to see what was going on and they provided me with the Bubbakoo's corporate number where I left another message. I've still not received any response. I have reported them to Seamless and am pursuing reimbursement via Seamless since Bubbakoo's appears to be a deadbeat. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM BUBBAKOO'S AGAIN and I recommend you avoid them also. read more

If you do not want the long version of my journey with ordering from Bubbakoo's Burritos just read the last paragraph. On a cold gloomy March day I thought a little Bubbakoo's Burritos may bring a little heat and light to warm the bones, was I ever soooo wrong! It all began with placing an order on Grubhub (the easy part of this journey), from time of order to arriving at my hotel room door was 1 hour 30 minutes. Now at this point in this review we will start to count star removes, they do state on Grubhub that deliver time would be between 65-75 minutes, a little long but I thought I could hunker in and beat the cold for that time frame. I'm know doctor but I can tell you at 1 hour 30 minutes frost bite will start to settle in (minus 1 star). As we continue, the food was delivered by a third party company DoorDash (I'm feeling generous, lets give BB half a star back as deliver time was not all their fault). The next portion of this could have been my fault for ordering these items thinking they would be like in the pictures after 1 hour 30 minutes. Item 1 - Buffalo curly fries, Has a good sound to it and picture looked good, something that would definitely start warming the belly. Well, would have been if the fries were warm, not to mention soggy from the buffalo sauce. I thought I'll make this work and warm them by the fire (microwave for the sake of the review), little to be known there is no microwave! At this point frost bite has now set in on toe number 2, I mean star 2 is now gone, star 1.5. Okay lets make this work, I'll just have to eat the fries the way they are. I now felt like a caveman in the ice-age, huddling down over the container ( the container was on its side when delivered so buffalo sauce was leaking everywhere, minus 1 star) using my fingers to shovel the soggy cold fries into my mouth ( yes to add to this, there was no utensils, minus 1 star). And let me ask you all a question, what goes best with buffalo sauce?.... BLUE CHEESE! Well BB said the fries would be accompanied with ranch, must have froze on its way over in the 1 hour 30 minute journey because it never arrived ( minus 1 star). Item 2 - Nachos with ghost pepper chicken, if the buffalo fries couldn't save my extremities from frost bite these would surely do the trick! Lets do the caveman again and start shoveling the food into my teeth chattering mouth. Soggy nachos are very hard to eat with your hands if anyone has tried, maybe there is a trick out there that someone would like to share? So it may have been my frozen tongue, but the buffalo fries had more of a spice kick than the nachos (minus 1 star). Now to settle in for the night, I once watched a surviving in the wilderness show and when getting close to hypothermia the guy stated to hydrate as shaking from the cold uses alot of energy (you may have have to fact check this but sounds good), lets get to hydration time. One soda was to be a fresh fountain soda from the mountains to drink at the point of the meal. Let me tell you what, it was awkward eating food like a caveman and then coming back to civilization to drink soda out of a straw! Alright lets get back to hydration, the one soda was ordered as a mountain fresh fountain soda, the next was to be a bottled soda from the concrete jungle. the bottle must not have made the long trek as the next soda arrived in the same condition as the mountain soda did. This survival expert was drinking water out of a crack in a rock, I know I shouldn't be picky but come on folks watered down Sprite at midnight is very hard to drink to stay hydrated! I wanted the bottle to put in the ice box ( refrigerator) as a life safety item if i were to become parched (minus 1 star). In closing lets count the stars 1,2,3,4.... frost bite has settled in too far, this is all of the fingers I have left! Okay if anyone made it to the end of this review a couple things may have been stretched from the truth. These stretched items were NOT food related at all, I was disappointed with the order and hope this helps further cavepeople into making the right choice! read more
