Their meals over Whelm the plate with huge flavor and consistency. My favorite dish is their Beef Liver and Onions. It comes so juicy and flavorful with mashed potatoes and gravy. Better than I can make so I just go to Callahans! I've had so many different combinations of their breakfast menu it's hard to pick the best one since ALL their breakfast menu items are fantastic. I'm glad they were open a little later than average. I was delighted to eat a smoked brisket burger. That thing must've been 6 inches high. It was a monster. My sweetie loved the fish tacos. They have an amazing wasabi, mayo sauce that goes with them. The middles split a prime rib Mac and cheese. They described it as "real American food" with a smile and a twinkle in their eye. That means it's delicious. It's actually a bacon prime rib, mac & cheese, and they don't even mention the bacon because the prime rib is so good. Very filling. I took a sample and it is probably the best tasting meat augmented mac & cheese I've ever tasted. The smokiness just does something amazing there. I like the background music. Sometimes the taste actually resembled a tuna fish sandwich. The remoulade sauce that came with the crab cakes was really tasty. I wasn't really happy with the branzino dish. The fish was cooked pretty well, but "in my opinion" It had too much seasoning and the seasoning had an off flavor. Could just be my personal tastes. The restaurant has a lot of seating, little nooks and corners and a bar with seating. Plenty of quiet areas and areas to gather as a large group as well. The country fried steak had nice flavor and a crispy coating topped with creamy country gravy. The extra crispy hash brown were perfect. The eggs were perfect. The sourdough was better than average. After my server left the check I never saw her again. It was a big plate of food so I would get a box and put it in the fridge for the next morning but I sat and sat there with my server gone like the wind so I finally flag down another server and ask for a box. I was completely left in limbo and no other servers looked after me because I wasn't one of their tables.

The oil tasted rancid, there were sparse, funky tasting strawberries on top and nothing else. The coffee???? I have never had a cup of coffee that literally tasted like nothing before. Are they reusing old grounds? I feel bad for the waitstaff here. There aren't enough customers to earn good tips, they seem to lack training, and the manager was the most unprofessional woman, with food all over the front of her sweater. The crust was exactly how I like it, crisp and dark. The sauce had a tang to it and a wonderful flavor. It was also plentiful and not over sauced. The cheese was also perfectly done and slightly browned in places. They cut it into wedges of which I had 4 pieces. Normally I wouldn't have eaten them hat much but I couldn't stop. I wish that I had taken photos but it disappeared so quickly with 8 of us chowing down on it. J would drive miles for this pizza and next time I want to add sausage with the pepperoni.
