Summary: Great for groups, amazing food, diverse menu, cheap drinks, clean, friendly staff, NOT good for auditory and/or sensory issues, Wheelchair accessible I'm from a a family of five, with some picky eaters and all very different food preferences. We can ALL eat at Bubbas. If you're craving something, they probably have something on the menu to satisfy that. The menu is large, but not overwhelming. I literally haven't eaten anything that I didn't like here. They have amazing chicken dishes and they're chicken fried chicken is my FAVORITE! I also suggest trying the Bubba sauce with fries, onion rings, burgers, etc. Its one of my all time favorite dipping sauces. The only thing I don't like is how many screens there are. So many TVs. Its a little overwhelming. It can make it difficult for some people to focus and I probably wouldn't recommend it for individuals who have auditory and/or sensory issues. Its wheelchair accessible, though I would not choose to go when it's busy. The weekends and during major sports events are when they are at their busiest. I have recommended this place a lot, and it's def one of my favorite local eats. Love it! read more

I would have given this one star however, we were seated fairly quickly. After being seated we were never helped. Actually the only way we got noticed was because a customer that had just arrived right next to our table was noticed. Waiter walked out looked at our table and help the customers that just arrived. Wife and I had already been sitting there for at least 15 minutes keeping our cool. We just walked out, of course before we left I did mention to the hostess that this service was horrible. Why did it took me so long to try this place is out?! If I eat anything but their shotgun shrimp and garlic bread knots I'll be content and wont need anything else. They are amazing. The cheese dip is real cheese not the velveeta type or can. I've only been there once and first impression count. My server Shae did not disappoint. She was attentive, fast and friendly. I need to go back and try more items. Their food is made from scratch. So make sure you are not in a rush when your dining there. Also, it gives out a bar atmosphere with full bar and TVs all over. Man I'm really trying to give these guys some room on the dine in experience, but I keep getting fails. Before I complain, anytime and every time I sit at a bar, it's VIP service. Never a problem, drinks never empty and you're never without service 5 stars strictly to the bar... ...but the table service, ugh. On 4 different occasions now I've tried dine in with friends or family, and I've never had a good experience this way. Now, this last visit on Veteran's Day I tried to be a little more lenient, but I guess my face was quite telling and the manager got involved this time. Appetizers never pushed through, drinks never coming, watched another family sit-order-eat-and leave. Things didn't really speed up, and the server seemed angry at us for his boss getting involved, but the manager did provide $15 worth of gift cards plus a free appetizer for a future visit. Wow! Apparently, pizza-making is now rocket science. It took them FOUR attempts to get my pizza right. It was a large with pepperoni, mushrooms, bell pepper, olives, plus onion and jalapenos on half. When I got pizza number one home, they had only put mushrooms and peppers on half, and onion on the whole thing. I called and they offered to make a new one, no charge. Great. I schlepped back over there, waited an additional fifteen minutes, and they brought our a SMALL! Offered for me to keep that one while they made the large (number three). Waited an additional twenty minutes (I'm pretty hungry by now). In the meantime, the manager gave me a couple of coupons for my trouble. Out comes #3. We check it out before I leave, and.....mushrooms were out on 1/2. The manager says, "that's an easy fix" and takes it back to the kitchen, where they just sliced up some mushrooms and dropped them over to the pizza. Sorry...not the same as having them baked into the cheese. But....I'm hungry andy wife is calling. I take it home and we devoured it, although it has very little taste. Love me some Bubba's! I've attended this establishment a handful of times now and have received exceptional service every single time. Kasey (weekend bartender) is the absolute sweetest and makes of hell of a drink! I highly recommend you request her version of a "Mexican Candy Shot" absolutely delicious! Highly recommend their goat cheese and arugula pizza, their habanero burger, and onion rings! Always hit the spot! Great place to watch the Houston Texans and Houston Astros games! I am a culturally Deaf person. I brought my Deaf family to Bubba's to eat because they have sports on TV according to their webpage. When I got here, I was pleased to find that they had 62 televisions in the establishment. Sixty-two!!! Impressive, eh??? Uhhh... no. Here was my problem... Bubba's 33 was the -first- restaurant in -years- that I had gone into with not a single TV having their closed captions turned on. Sixty two and not one had closed captioning? Wow but okay... I'll just ask them to turn one on. When I asked my waitress about turning the captions on for one TV, she looked at me like I was crazy and said that would be distracting for their customers. Uhhhhh wut? I'm blown away. Bubba's 33 with 62 TVs gets a total of 62 big fat thumbs down for their inaccessibility towards their Deaf and hard of hearing customers. Yes this place has screens EVERYWHERE! It's a really great place to come with a pal or a couple friends and have a few drinks and some fried food! I have gone to this spot many times and never had this bad of service. The waitress didn't greet us in a timely manner and when she finally did she was rude. She didn't give her name and welcome us to the restaurant. She immediately told us about the 5 drink limit and asked for our drink orders. Then disappeared for a long time. We had to ask the manager for help to bring our drinks to us. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks (beer, water, and soda) to get to our table. We had to ask the bartender for our second drinks because we couldn't find the waitress. Our appetizers took 40 min to come to the table, and after an hour or more we finally got our food! One person in our party asked the waitress for a condiment 3 times and never received it! The manager we spoke to didn't even follow up on our table to see if we were doing well after we initially complained. The manager could have offered a small discount or 1 free app, but Instead she disappeared too. I usually consider myself a good tipper but today I had to make an exception. The service was poor and the management was disappointing as well. I gave the restaurant 2 stars. Just because the food tasted great! Or maybe because I was starving at the time!! read more

Dinner at Bubbas 33 located at Spencer Highway and Beltway 8 in Deer Park, Texas I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody, it's great for people of all ages. They will not disappoint, their food served by exceptionally courteous waiters. I recommend you to try their Cooked Fried Mozzarella cheese, Layered Cheese fries, Blackened Blue Burger to name a few. Okay so I have been here quite a few times before today and let me just say I had a great experience before today. Let me just start by saying we were given 2 menus for 4 people.it took 20 min for our drinks to come out and they didn't know how to make the drink I requested, mind you I have it every time I've gone there. Then we are mid meal my husband and my friends husband ordered another round of drinks. Took another 30 min for them. Come to find out they arrived at the table behind us the waitress was talking to them and about the drinks and the guys at that table said yeah we didn't order these and his friend said I already drank from this one so she told them no worries just keep it it will be free .takes the other drink and thinks it's okay to attempt to give them to us! I was rude and not having it and told her no ma'am you are not giving us a drink that have been sitting at another table ! & yes she was really going to do it because she shook her head and said she was! We then requested bottle beers instead and another waitress has the manager come over. All he says is i will talk to her. I'm not asking for a hand out but if you think it's okay that she was willing and going to give us drinks that have been sitting on another table I could imagine if it would have been food. First time visiting Bubba's tonight after church. Very warm greeting from the staff at the front door. We were seated by the manager, Sammy. Our waiter, Kevin, was nice and helpful too. We really clicked with Sammy. Shared some personal testimonies. The food came out fast and it was so good. Sammy told us about how they freshly make their burgers. Sounds good, We must try one next time. He told us about new restaurants coming up in McAllen. Also, Bubba's is a sister company of Texas Roadhouse. The restrooms were clean. I came in earlier ordered a bloody mary with a double shot. They said they couldn't put a double shot in that because it come in a margaritas glass, i said ok I want a double sot and I like it very spicy with olives and celery. When I finally got my drink it was not in a margarita class it was in a Mason jaw not celery no olives, and it teast the water. Service was horrible. My husband and I left unsatisfied we talked to the manger. We came back acouple hours later to try it again because we here good thing about this place. They served my friend and husband but not me and I I'm pretty sure it has to do with the instant that happened hours earlier. Because I talked to the manager then too. One of the worst dining experiences, EVER. The wait staff is a bunch of millennials that all just want to stand around and talk and not wait on their tables. We literally had to go find someone to take our order, as no one came to our table within 10 minutes of being seated. My order was wrong, when I realized that my Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was spicy and not mild, I had to flag down a waiter to send it back. A replacement meal was never offered and to top it off, I was charged for my meal. Upon leaving, we were chased down in the parking lot and asked how about our experience. She got an earful, and I am sure our comments were far more than she wanted to hear. If you want to eat at a dive with loud music, screaming kids running around left unattended and about 50 TVs all tuned to different stations, then this is the place for you. If you don't want to experience sensory overload, then I suggest you stay away. Bad food can be overcome with exceptional service and vice versa, unfortunately this place is just bad all the way around. read more

I came in on a Friday night..it was my first time here and I absolutely loved it! It's a pretty big place, very clean, and the atmosphere was great. I sat at the bar..there were about 3 to 4 girls taking care of that area. They were all very attentive and friendly! Always made sure I had a drink or if I needed anything else. They recommended their LITs (Long Island) so I tried them and they were delicious! They are known for their pizza and burgers..I did not try either this time..just had drinks and a light dinner (chicken and veggies) which was delicious. I plan to go back and try their pizza though. Pretty good for what it is; a sports bar without being a breastaurant. It's a lot to take in, with tv screens covering literally every inch of the wall around the top. But I enjoyed almost every song they played today at lunch time, and they had the music videos playing on a couple screens. Pretty cool! We got the shotgun shrimp as an appetizer and it was DELICIOUS! We all discussed how we would order that as an entree if they offered it. Or on a salad. The flavor was good, the shrimp were large and cooked very well! I had the black bean and quinoa burger, spicy style! It has avocado which is really delicious. Spicy style just means they add a slab of deep friend jalapeno cream cheese. It was a on the large side, and it was only REALLY flavorful and good if you got a bite of everything at once. It was so, so, SO close to being absolutely amazing but I think the actual patty lacked a little flavor. Everything else made up for it, and I will be ordering it again. The service was decent. Our particular waitress didn't have any extra umph to her waiting style, but that's not a problem for me in a sports bar at lunch. I could see a couple other servers spending more time with their tables. And a manager came by to ask us how everything was, which is always nice. First time customer. Brought the family. Waiter was very attentive and recommend some of the apps and entrees. Assistant Manger also came by to ask how everything was. Well everything really good. Had the shotgun shrimp for an app which was great. I had the 12" roasted garlic and cheese pizza. I like the brick oven type crust. Wife had the California Chicken with mashed potatoes. Chicken had a good flavor and was juicy. Potatoes was good as well. Son had the hamburger kids plate. Was impressed with that burger vs most other kids hamburgers at other restaurants. I also ordered a Bubbas size Bud Light which I think is a 32oz mug for $4. Can't beat that. Only pet peeve is that wall to wall TV's I think are overkill. Reminds me of Bombshells.
