I'm too full to write much. Ordered dinner for two online since only take out or curbside is available during the lockdown. I ordered dinner for two with the seafood casserole as our main course. Our sides were creamed corn, okra, green beans, Mac n cheese, squash casserole and collards. Dessert was peach cobbler. Seriously got enough food for 4 and everything was perfectly prepared. Delicious! I picked from the daily menu online. They called to confirm my order & I paid over the phone. I picked the time I'd like to pick up my meal. They had marks on the floor to keep people 6 feet apart while picking up orders. I noticed some people called from the parking lot to have the food taken to their cars. Worst meal we have ever had, I'm not sure what's the hype for this place, the food was terrible, maybe because we went at 3:30pm?... They couldn't even re-heat the food properly, all plates came out at room temperature, green beans casserole was super salty, enedible! How do you mess up fries????? And macaroni cheese???? I had really high hopes for this place because I have truly enjoyed their catering at weddings I have attended. However it seems the restaurant does not have the same quality, or at least it didn't upon my family's visit. They were out of a lot that we asked for including Redneck Nachos, which I was really looking forward to. Instead we ordered the pimento cheese plate but they were out of homemade pickles which were supposed to come with it. My salad was dirty and even the salad bowl felt unclean. I sent it back and was asked if I would like something instead. I tried the Brunswick Stew but it was not warm and just tasted meh. My family's meals were all lukewarm and the chicken and dumplings were even a little cold. I come here pretty regularly on either Sunday or Saturday for breakfast. I have to say normally the food is great and it comes out hot. Usually every one is very friendly. Today is a little different. I fell like they have changed Portion sizes to a smaller size. The only thing hot on my plate was my eggs. Now my husband and got the same thing except he had an extra egg to his. Well I got my food first and I had been eating at least 5 minutes before his came to the table. Which made me think that all his food would have been hot but nope his eggs too were the only thing hot everything else is barely warm. Not mention if you by there today don't ask for lemonade or cherry coke because they are out you will have to choose another selection. Now I have had the food from the lunch side of things and it is also pretty good. I do wish they were open due the week for breakfast but they are not. Now this place is usually packed come lunch time which I am not denying that food is good but I have had better here. Hopefully next time it will be better. I really like the inside of the place very farm like the only down side is the torn up booths maybe one day they can be fixed not like they don't stay busy. I don't remember any of the servers smiling when we were greeted. I came on a Sunday with friends and apparently they do buffet only on Sunday. When we were greeted the server did not explain this. We grabbed ourselves menus and another server told us. No details were given. We had to ask where-down the hallway in the back room, how much-$12.50. All this together made the first impression unpleasant and started the experience making us feel uncomfortable. But we were there the food looked good, so we stayed. Some of the food was cold. Cold potatoes are unappetizing. I told the server, she acknowledged what I said, didn't apologize, and never said how or if she was going to fix it. The shrimp was overcooked. Bubba's is a nice place to grab a tasty lunch in Richmond Hill. Located in a strip mall off of HWY 17 it is easy to access and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is very good with weekly specials. Today they were featuring a chili chicken soup, and salmon entree. After we ordered our drinks which quickly came to our table, our server offered to bring a tasting of the chicken chili after my expressed interest. The soup was delightfully different and very tasty with a rich buttery chili base and many chunks of chicken blended in. My wife opted for a cup of it after her tasting and the patty melt. I had a salmon BLT sandwich with a caper remoulade sauce. The patty melt was nothing unusual, but made to order. The salmon sandwich was very good with crispy bacon, very nice sauce and nice size salmon filet. I would order it again. Food - 4 stars. Some very good food. Decor / Atmosphere - 3 stars Nothing special except for the large map of the local costal area that covers the wall from floor to ceiling. Service - 5 stars - Very attentive and friendly. The menu had brisket, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, a breakfast bar, omelettes to order, shrimp and grits and more. I really wanted to love this place. Before I begin I need to say I am only providing one star because it is required. The "not good" rating does not begin to explain my thoughts on my experience and quality of this establishment. I would also like to say I have 10 years of experience in the service industry. This evening my softball team came to Bubba's Bistro to enjoy dinner for our last away game together. I called at 1 PM and spoke with the owner Korie. i asked if she could accommodate my party of 30 on their back porch. She excitedly said yes. so I assumed this would be an easy task. My team arrived around 6:20. They provided us an extremely limited menu. (We had not agreed on this, but accepted). My girls, staff, and parents ordered their drinks. After 32 minutes we received a table full of cups with ice only in the Georgia heat. Our SERVERS (plural) each brought out ONE pitcher each. This filled maybe a quarter of the cups. I told the servers to go get 3 more pitchers of each type of beverage (tea, sprite, pibb) they brought these out and I had to start filling and refilling my teams glasses. I also had to pass the cups out, get silverware from the hostess stand, and run food for the team of servers. When I asked one server what the deal was he said "we have a lot of customers inside" being a server at one point myself I accepted this. When I went inside there was a total of 4 tables. After everyone received their drinks my team started putting in food. After 30 more minutes the "manager" sent out a food runner to tell me it would be another hour before our food was served. At this point I asked to speak to a manager. I told him how unacceptable the service was and that I was having to serve my team. Instead of saying sorry he began feeding me every excuse possible, including that they weren't expecting the amount of chicken tenders,shrimp baskets, and burgers (the only three main dinner items on the limited menu THEY PROVIDED). When I realized I wasn't getting anywhere I just asked him to make sure the food is out quicker than an hour. When the food finally arrived the shrimp was still frozen in the middle, some food tasted as if it had been sitting under a food lamp, and even though there website says fresh they were not. Many items were wrong and to top it off my order was not put in. When it was time for the check the manager tried to "help me out" by taking off the drinks. This was not even close to the 2 hours and 40 minutes of hell myself, my staff, my team parents, and most importantly my girls went through. Do not claim to be able to accommodate when you cannot. And as the manager of this establishment you have to have control of your staff. As the owner, if you know you are understaffed you should be there to help your team. I wouldn't send my girls on the field without me and the same rule applies here. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will certainly not go back. read more

So, took the family to Brunch here and was alittle disappointed with the food. First off, $15/pp for Brunch was ok if the food wasn't dry. Secondly, the salad greens were wilted that I decided to pass on it. Thirdly, if you want Scrambled eggs or Omelet, you have to fill out a piece of paper and give it to someone who works there. The food looked good and the staff seemed very friendly, but we were not excited about the prospect of spending $24.95/person for a dinner buffet. We stopped at the Richmond Hill restaurant because of the positive reviews, however, we will not be back. We got there around 7:30pm on Thursday night. Our waitress, Alexis, was very nice & pleasant - the positive of our dining experience. Now the negative. My husband ordered chicken & dumplings, broccoli casserole, white rice w/ gravy, chocolate cake with 2 scoops of ice cream. Everything, including the chocolate cake & ice cream cake out at the same time so he asked if she'd put the ice cream in the freezer until he was done with his meal. Everything was barely luke warm except the broccoli casserole. The chicken & dumplings barely had any chicken & the flavor was ok. He took one of my pieces of fried chicken and added it his dish. His white rice w/ gravy had a good flavor, but was cool & had a bunch of uncooked grains. However, the dish that came back warmed up had less uncooked grains. I ordered fried chicken, collard greens, squash casserole & french fries that I asked to be burnt. When my food came out everything was barely luke warm with the exception of the fries which were nice & hot, limp & far from how I ordered them. The fried chicken was luke warm & far from hot. We totally understand things might be different under different conditions, however, food needs to be kept hot in order to keep patrons from getting sick!! read more

Superb food and service. I discovered this by accident when returning from Tennessee (via South Carolina) to home in Florida. The fried chicken was absolute perfection as were the turnip greens and potato salad. The setting was simple but elegant and the wait staff was friendly, fast and took the time to make sure our meals met with our satisfaction. Such professionalism is rare in this day and age. If you wake up in the morning as a server, or any other employee that works in a restaurant for that matter, and don't remember that the whole basis of your job is customer service, please JUST STAY HOME! I get that you are probably short on help and I completely understand that. Your attitude about how you handle that wins or loses this game. To be specific, if you are a host sitting there playing on your phone after you just sat 6 tables one after another for the 2 struggling servers, maybe walk your happy butt over to the tables and see how the customers are doing and if they could use anything like refills or even start taking an order down. Don't bother giving the whiny reason of I don't get paid for that. Restaurants (and life for that matter) are all about teamwork. If you can't cut it there, good luck in life my friend. Same goes for the other server that got called over to "I'm not your server" table. Suck it buttercup, put on your best happy face, and do what you can to work with the customer. Ok now service aside, the food also wasn't without issue. Wrong food was delivered twice. Shrimp and grits was overcooked. Country Fried Steak was tough. Water tasted terrible. Pretty straight forward there, just not impressed with the food. Lastly was the restaurant itself. I actually liked the new look since the change from the buffet place. Unfortuntely, looking good and being good are two totally different conversations. If you are going into a Saturday that you know is going to be busy because you are a hotspot for tourist stop-offs maybe you might want to consider the first thing you do when getting to open the restaurant is going ahead and making sure your are fully stocked and ready in the restrooms. Stocking that will probably not want to become a concern while you are suddenly hit by a rush of people with minimal staff as customers are going in and out complaining of no toilet paper or paper towel to incoming guests or others that have been excessively waiting for service at their tables. As another note, maybe think about not putting the paper towel dispensers 10 feet up in the air and then laying a paper towel roll on top of the garbage can where the foot lever doesn't work. I bookmarked Bubba's Bistro I first moved here and just never had a chance to go despite it being just a minute away from where I work. What a mistake that was! I met up with my husband and had a nice lunch with him. We started with the fried green potatoes (it had this bacon aioli which was so goddamn good. I mean, bacon aioli.... What more do I need to say?!) and I had the Hill Burger and he had the Suzanne, which was their shrimp and grits with an extra side of sweet potato fries. He never had grits outside of the Army and waffle house and he was blown away with how delicious it was. Within seconds, half his plate was gone. He told me the only reason why he didn't suck down the rest was because the crab cake was too hot. The burger was amazing. I had mine with gouda cheese with a side of okra. Where to begin... my husband and I went to Bubba's Bistro for a quick dinner, which turned out to be anything but quick. We waited more than 30 minutes after ordering for our meal. When it finally came to the table, my shrimp and sides were cold. The table closest to us had the same issue. The poor manager worked over time going table to table to try to rectify the situation.
