The pick two meats from the smokehouse part of the menu was less than an ice cream scoop size of pulled pork and pulled chicken. Food was great but prices way to high. Raised from 11 dollars for hamburger and fries (no drink) to 15! Waitress was here and there and left us to work bar. We were kinda hanging. When check out had purchased gift cards for friends. They could use theirs but I had a 25 paper coupon for buying the gift cards and a 5. Could not use 5 with 25. Max together 25. If I had known this wouldn't have had 8 dollar desert. This is not a country atmospher. Bear skin rugs on wall. That's it. No cowboy hats for the waitress. I was there for the first time on a Tuesday @ 1pm. and had a choice off the full lunch menu. I honestly forgot the name of the very delicious salad that I ordered but went back on Saturday with my adult kids. We arrived around 1 pm, and they were serving Brunch until 3 pm, Brunch? What hamburger joint serves brunch on a Saturday? The menu was very limited, and I ordered the egg white spinach wrap. It was very disappointing when it was half filled. There was more air in the wrap than food. I had to ask the waitress for more egg whites because there was just a hint of egg. Normally, when you get a wrap, it's solid, but this actually was very flat. Service was great on both days. The full lunch menu had a great selection on Tuesday, but the brunch (limited) menu on Saturday ( until 3pm) was limited, and the egg white wrap was a disappointment. I would like to see them change the Saturday menu to a full lunch menu. Oh, and for a Saturday at 1pm, the place was dead, I'm sure the menu had a lot to do with that. read more

My family decided to try this place out. The restaurant has a cute ambiance to it. However, lacks with everything else. The hostess made us wait 20 minutes to sit even though there were maybe 3 couples, and two parties of 4 at tables. I would suspect under-staffing, but there were plenty of staff. I saw 2 bar tenders, 3 waitresses, and a number of table runners so not sure why they are dreadfully slow. The manager doesn't manage as we just watched him on the side of the bar area chatting it up with his staff the entire duration of our visit. The artichoke dip was great, hence the 2nd star. The rest of the food was hot garbage. I ordered a shrimp poboy which was so overly saucy, lacked shrimp, and was topped with wilted shredded lettuce. My husband was not impressed with his food either. The waitress never came back to fill drinks or check on us until we tracked her down for the check. If they can't handle a Thursday evening I can't imagine the weekends would be any better. read more

Ambiance of the place is very nice- a step up for the burg for sure. Pretty lighting- larger than I expected it to be. The food needs some tweaking. The children's pizza looks like a Elio's slice and didn't even fill up a 5 year old. The kids burger was decent- but nothing special. They also need to print out some kids menus- little things like that go along way. The flat bread needs to be cooked longer- soggy and bland. Vortex offers much better flatbreads. Not overly impressed. The service was decent, but a little slow (very friendly, though). The Texas Tornado appetizer was pretty tasty, though the meat was fairly flavorless. My wife got the shrimp and grits and was okay with it. She ate about half and took the rest home. I got the "burnt ends". They weren't burnt and and they weren't ends. It was just cubes of pork in barbecue sauce. VERY disappointing. The corn nuggets that came with it were straight from the freezer section of a grocery store, and the baked beans were likely from a can. Slaw was pretty good. My wife and I dined here for the first time. The atmosphere is open and inviting. Not overly loud. Ashley is an amazing server and tended to our needs without missing a step. We ordered the ribeye and salmon and they both were cooked perfectly. Actually, the potatoes and asparagus both were also cooked perfectly. This is by far one of the best meals we've had out of our home in years. If you visit when the weather is right, ya gotta try the patio. It's pretty neat. We WILL be back! The $150 dinner for two. My teenage son decided to take his girlfriend out for a nice dinner on Valentine's Day and made the mistake of coming here. The restaurant forced everyone into one option and didn't show the price, so he bought one for each of them. Not only was it expensive, with tip it came to $75 ... add to that they charged the credit card twice, so it came out to $150. Now we have to go through the pain of trying to get it corrected. Some very nitpicky (if unfair) reviews here so figured I should at least give my 2 cents. I will say that yes the prices "seem" high and portions for some items seem low at first. For instance I got the lobster roll and thought it was crazy how small it looked coming out, but was absolutely amazing and stuffed me. My son got it on a followup visit and said it was the best thing he's ever eaten. We've gone about once a week for the past several weeks and will say the Salmon was also amazing and ribs never disappoint. My Fiancé had a pesto wrap that was just "ok" but was huge so she was still ok with it. Everything else she had so far she loved. And the Citraquential IPA is an amazingly good beer there. I'm heading there even tonight for some ribs! I know what I'll be getting for the money and am totally ok with it for the quality received. Lets hope it stays good over time! read more

Was there recently for an event, which is always a little fraught for us because we have food allergies. They couldn't have taken better care of us! Everything was labelled, the chef went through the offerings with me to make sure I knew which were completely safe, which had a risk of cross contamination, and which they could modify to make safe for us. I came here with my friend WHO ARE ALL LEGALLY ABLE TO DRINK, and our waiter comes out and says "hey my manager says that you're underage" to a person in our group ... we said "okay?" Because he had already seen all of our IDs. Had lunch at Bubba's today. We really like the atmosphere. Southwestern Eggrolls were delicious served with a nice dipping sauce. I ordered firecracker shrimp taco and a spicy chicken tingo taco. The shrimp taco was really good but I was to full from the eggrolls to eat the 2nd taco. My husband had it and said it was delicious. My friend ordered Buffalo Chicken flatbread. She liked it. I had a taste and it was really good. Serving size of Tacos and Flatbreads were really big and reasonably priced. We shared a chocolate chip milkshake slice of cake. The bbq sauce is extremely sweet so if you like sweet you are gonna love this. My husband got the cheese burger and for 16 dollars it was really small. Someone got the Lime Chicken Sandwich because there seemed to be good reviews on that sandwich but she only at half and said it had no taste to it. Expensive night for an ok dinner. They gave our table to someone else and we had to switch gears to be able to be seated. Not what we had asked for but it was what was available. Service was good. Atmosphere was exciting. But the food was just not good. The kids pizza was the frozen stuff we were serviced in elementary school. The burger I ordered had zero seasoning, was dry. The fries were not crisp and were soggy. The salad my wife had appeared to have come out of a bag, it said it was blacked chicken. But in reality it was some shredded cold chicken from who knows when that wasn't blackened at all. The appetizer we got was terrible. It has pimento cheese, slash, and guacamole on it with some chips. The chips were very stale. The guacamole was in a unappealing scoop, with nothing other than some mashed up avocados, zero seasoning, no lime, no peppers nothing but some flavorless supper smooth avocado paste. The salsa definitely was premade and tasted like low end jar salsa you can get at any grocery store. The pimento cheese was also something you can get at any grocery store. All the food we had just tasted like it was premade. Super disappointed to have spent $80 on some stuff that was honesty worth maybe $40. Do not recommend going here for the food. Just go to hawthorns or la unica if you want some decent food for your money. read more
