The ice cream itself wasn't anything special and tasted good, but more like something from a frozen food section. An amazing dessert concept. Place looks very fresh, super fun. Apparently this is the only location. We visited during week while passing thru Katy, TX on the way to San Antonio. The only thing was they charge you for each topping or filler to add to cone/ They have a "step by step " order process and FYI you don't have to pick a selection for each step. I got cookies and cream and my friend chose banana cream pie. Both flavors were so tasty and smooth. Great ice cream. Next you chose what toppings you want. We got sprinkles and whipped cream. Everything came out fresh and the bubble cone was warm and so tasty. The staff here is so nice and friendly. You might have to wait a few due to everything is made fresh but it was so worth it. I tried these waffles at their Bellaire location and really liked it so I knew I had to try it again in Katy Asian Town! Their waffles are always so crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. It is a little sweet but paired well with the fruits. I went with the original flavor. They also have matcha and chocolate flavored waffles. You can build your own or choose from one of theirs. This was my first experience, and I must say not my last. The employees were patient and even recommended me drinks that they like. Even while bringing out my drink order they had such a bright smile. I loved their fruit tea. It had such a tart and a subtle sweetness to it, with the crunch of the mango and strawberry pieces. The boba was textbook perfect, amazing chew and not hard unlike some locations I've been to. The location itself is clean and tidy. The decor does not look outdated, instead it looks so cute! I take a few bites with my wife to notice it was the 2nd option of ice cream that he put in. Decor was really cute. We were really excited to try this place out, but the workers really killed the vibe. I'm hoping they're kids that we're just tired from school and not Merpy like that everyday. As we asked questions the guy just pointed at the menu and acted as if we should already know how to order. This was one of those moments where I wished I read the reviews on Yelp before heading here. For a place that specializes on gai daan zai you would think they would really make it amazing. I grew up eating this from small stands on the side of the street in Toronto's China Town. Bubble Egg's were over cooked, super crispy like eating a fortune cookie, and lacked in egginess. The ice cream was alright, but is it an ice cream shop or a bubble egg waffle shop? The orange lychee green tea had 0 green tea flavor and oranges seeds left in it. Wasnt super terrible, but not amazing either. A pineapple mojito without any mint or lime flavor. Wheres the mojito part? It was more like a sparkling pineapple drink, it was good...but its being sold as a mojito...give me the mint and lime! I just want to make it clear that I understand that their grand opening was about a week ago and there are still kinks that need to be figured out (like service...oh god their service...). I thought this place was amazing. I my kids absolutely loved the create way they do the toppings. The ice cream is also really good. The waffle cones were delicious too. You can add toppings inside of your cone. They make the cones fresh which is why there is a little bit of a wait. They were also very clean and sanitized. After each person checked out I watch the cashier wipe down everything and sanitize his hands.... literally after each person. That is wonderful. I used to work in food service and I know people don't even do this when covid isn't going on so it was refreshing to see them so clean and organized. Oh my goodness this place is so good. Just from walking in and smelling the freshly made bubble waffles!! I really like how they have "create your own" waffle combos, as well as the options that already have names and you can easily choose those too (for the times when creating your own is just too much decision-making). I've only ever had the dessert waffles though, not savory. I have to try the savory ones next time! My favorite is getting the coconut ice cream with nutella and fruity pebbles on top. It's a weird combo but it sure is good! Also, each time I've been in there, people are usually good at distancing even when it is pretty crowded! So it makes me feel more secure for sure. read more

The only downside, is that the ice cream is the first ice cream that actually made my mouth feel a bit dry, I didn't think it was possible but it is. The flavor wasn't bad, and also wasn't sweet, so people who want to have a nice balance this is it.
