Another boba place to add to my list. As I've ventured more to the south of Houston I explore more great places here. Nice simple environment and great service. The staff there was kind and patient as I was ordering and new to the place. They were very busy as people kept flowing in. Based on their sign they were est since 2012. If they are still in business even after Covid then ... 1. They have wonderful drinks 2. Great people/service If you are in the area give them a try! Not sure if they have a reward system, I'll have to ask next time.

Brown Sugar Boba with Fresh Milk & Ice Cream Shake

I went to eat around this area and saw this place, decided to give it a try and it was not that bad. I ordered brown sugar with boba and the Oreo ice cream milk shake with boba as well. At first sips (after mixing and shaking the drink), the brown sugar was bland since I only tasted fresh milk, but then it got better when the brown sugar syrup mixed with the drink (after like 15min though). It was definitely less sweet than most of the other brown sugar drinks at other shops. The Oreo ice cream milk shake was very very good. It tasted exactly like cookies n cream ice cream but as a drink (like frappe ish). The shop looks like a family-owned shop, and the service was super duper nice. BOBA: The only thing I didn't like was the boba. It was very bland and had no sweetness. There are other boba shops that also have bland boba, but for some reasons this one tasted very eh (like i would avoid the boba when i drink it). Overall, I wouldn't recommend the boba, but definitely give this place a try for their ice cream series and probably other toppings (also got a lot of smoothies options, too)

I can't believe i lived in this area for a year and half and never stopped here until today! I absolutely love this place. It's clean the staff is friendly and the drinks are delicious and the price is great. You definitely can't go wrong. I got a large taro boba tea with green tea and it's delicious. The screen are easy to read the menu and they have a section of games that you can play with friend or family if you sit inside. I will definitely be returning to get some more and try other flavors.

    Classic Milk Tea

The workers were nice but the milk tea was watery. The tapioca balls were decent, they were really soft and "soggy" (it looked like it's old and sat in water long time and started fraying). Their restroom was disgusting. Men urinal and regular toilet in same room. No toilet paper. Paper dispenser didn't wanna work...really disgusted

I have been coming to Bubble Island for 10+ years now and I love it so much. It's owned by a sweet family and they are always so kind when I come in and order my drinks. I usually go for their thai tea with boba and it's delicious. Their chocolate shake with boba and honey green milk tea is good too. Also, I'm very particular when it comes to the texture of by boba. I don't want it to squishy or to hard, and Bubble Island has just the right balance. The only thing I would have to say is that the menu hasn't changed and maybe needs to add some new touches on it.

I went and got this mango pineapple smoothie (made with real mangoes and pineapple flavor). It's soooo delicious! It paired perfectly with my banh mi from next door!

BEST BUBBLE TEA IN HOUSTON!!!! I've been to many all across Houston and this THE ONLY PLACE that uses REAL ingredients and is absolutely CREAMY and NOT GRAINY. Powdered milk or flavoring is the worst and they DO NOT use that. I only come here and will never go anywhere else now that i know that it sucks everywhere else compared to here :,).

The kind of place you stumble into expecting caffeine and leave with a small, irrational faith in humanity restored. People like to say Montrose is where Houston keeps its cool, its weird, its pulse. Maybe. But Java Owl makes a strong case that Clear Lake has been hiding a little strange magic of its own. It is bright, clean, odd in the best possible way, and alive with the feeling that something interesting might happen before you finish your cup. Now, the important part: the coffee. I judge a place by the black cup. No sugar, no milk, no whipped cream masquerading as personality. Just coffee, exposed and unprotected. Java Owl passes that test. The roast has character. It tastes like someone cared. It does not taste like the sad, scorched sludge you get from places that treat coffee beans like evidence to be burned. And if you want something more elaborate, they have that too. The specialty drinks rotate, mutate, and show up with a kind of reckless creativity that works more often than it has any right to. Every visit seems to bring some new concoction, some fresh little act of caffeinated imagination. Late nights at the Owl are their own species of entertainment. Beer, wine, conversation, and the grand old human circus of people watching. Someone might break into "Sweet Caroline." Someone else might decide the room needs a guitar solo. You do not so much sit there as get folded into the scene. It is noisy, warm, occasionally ridiculous, and never dull. Somehow, the place manages to be both energetic and peaceful, which should be impossible and yet is not. Good coffee, good people, a little music, a little chaos, and staff who seem genuinely happy to be there. The positivity is not the forced kind. It is not laminated corporate cheer. It is real enough that you can walk in tired and walk out a little lighter. So yes, go. Go to see and be seen, sure. But more than that, go because places like this matter. Java Owl is coffee, community, weirdness, and warmth in a town that could use more of all four.

I live in the Clear Lake area but will be working in League City this week, so I specifically wanted to find a nice coffee shop to patron or even hang out in for the next several days. The space was nice with more than enough bored games to keep any group of friends busy. There was no line, and no reason to be rushed. But the barista that took my order was immediately angry and took the stress level to a 10 for seemingly no reason. I ordered an Americano. She looked at me like I was an idiot and asked several questions including milk. I said I'd like some milk and some room in the cup and she berated me with many more questions that I couldn't understand. Pretty much yelling in my face for no reason. The manager/owner was right there watching it. The barista had dark hair, dyed red with a dark short sleeved shirt. She pretty much owned the place over everyone. I stood there with her talking down to me for several minutes. And that is why I won't go back. Also, I ordered a "medium Americano" and it came back after 5-10 minuktes in a cup barely larger than a dixie cup. And it was completely burned. It tasted awful. I write a bad review maybe every 3-4 years. And this was easily the worst coffee shop experience of my life. It actually ruined my morning. And that is why I am taking the time out of my day to write this.

I just got done with a lunch date nearby and needed a little pick me up to finish my errands. I'm assuming all their locations are similar in that this place is a drive thru or walk up concept. I almost drove past because the drive thru line spilled out into the road but then I saw they had two lanes moving at a pretty rapid pace. Just from what I saw, it seemed like the whole staff was young, high school kids, but they were working hard. They had multiple people walking the lines with an iPad taking orders and keeping traffic flowing. I explained it was my first time so the young lady gave a quick run down of some of their popular items and asked what flavor profiles I like. The line moved quick and I liked that they took the time to wipe down each drink before handing it over so there was no mess. Great customer service. I ended up ordering the Cookie Butter iced coffee. The flavors of this coffee included toasted marshmallow, hazelnut and white chocolate breve. I like a breve because you get a creamier drink. The flavors worked well together and I really enjoyed my drink. I typically like a more coffee forward drink, but every once in awhile I like a dessert like drink. This was that. 7 Brew is one of many like chains in the area so competition is high out here. In my opinion, this place has a slight edge over the other places in that they have a great variety of drinks and great customer service. I will most definitely be back.

The thing that needs the most improvement are the baked goods. Absolutely terrible. At first I thought they had Costco muffins or something similar, but in truth, Costco muffins would be a BIG improvement. Their baked goods suck. LOL!
