They have a great selection of teas and put a twist on drinks by offering toppings. Also the boba was square and not as chewy as most which was a nice change. I tried the original milk tea with boba and they also have a rewards program with stamp card to earn a free one after so many purchases. Tried this spot for the first time and got the Burn Burn Latte with boba. The drink was really good! Super sweet though, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, I wouldn't recommend this drink. Also, it's in Chinatown, so your parking options are either street/meter, or parking structure/lot. It's pricier than my usual boba places, but I would still go every once in a while for the Burn Burn Latte. They also sell French macarons here, which were pretty good. The interior has a ton of cute and hip graphics. I'm sure whoever did the design studied some sort of psychology or interior design as everything is built with purpose. I dig it. The boba is good. The tapioca pearls are done right, unlike most places. The milk tea is definitely one of the better ones in the area - it's actually the best one. I liked everything about it. SO SO good. Stopped by here after waiting in line at howlin ray's (it's just around the block). I was raised in the OC where it's basically boba heaven, there's few boba shops elsewhere that I feel quite tops the options I have in the OC. I was soooo pleasantly surprised at how darn good the drinks here are. We got the black milk tea & jasmine green milk tea. The PERFECT amount of sweetness/tea taste & the boba was the perfect texture. I just want to note how nice the owner was as well. We were sitting at the table waiting for our drinks, and he brought them over straight to us with some straws instead of calling out our order. It was such a nice effort. Came to get a quick drink, found this place on yelp and here I am! This place lack of uniqueness, compare to the other milk tea store in the area and city. I will not come back again and recommend to anyone. The staff are really friendly and polite which I absolutely appreciated. I ordered Osmanthus oolong tea with half sugar and ice. The tea flavor are so bitter, I understand they might be using real "tea leaf" to make them. But the bitterness is too much, and i cannot taste the osmanthus flavor at all.... So I fell victim to its hipster, rustic vibe and veered in here instead of wandering deeper into China Town to secure something more traditional. I get that the rent is skyrocketing in Chinatown, but the boba tea here was pretty pricey! Most offerings here are $4.50, but come in a 16oz cup (slightly larger than 12oz) and with a ton of ice to boot. Adding boba to my *Roasted Oolong Milk Tea* came to a total of $5! While it was somewhat tasty, I was also extremely off put by the mini boba they gave me instead. Or, they were at least smaller than normal for sure! I dislike mini boba greatly. The Luna matcha has matcha, honey, and sea salt. I got it with less honey (to make it less sweet). The drink was the perfect sweetness and I was very satisfied with it. The customer service here is amazing. The worker walks out from the back to personally give you the drink. She also gave us a gift to celebrate their 2 year anniversary of the shop! Since I don;t like sugary drinks, I usually get my drinks at 0-25% sweetness. The earl grey flavor is present, but not too strong. The taro pudding is silky and gives the drink some sweetness. Taro + earl grey is soo good! Overall, this is one of the better boba shops that I've tried in the LA area. You can adjust the sweetness of your drink, you can taste the flavor from the tea, and they don't use powder to artificially enhance the flavor of their drinks. I ordered the charcoal MT & oh my, it's delicious. They have many yummy options such as wintermelon GT and chrysanthemum tea. The boba was fresh, sweet, and chewy. Not only that, the boba was small compared to most large bobas which was a fun and unique experience for me! Both of them were delicious. I'm not even much of a Lavender Milk Tea person, but wow.. what amazing flavor they had. It was creamy and had a light, but very distinct scent of lavender in the tea which made it very refreshing and delightful. The Black Milk Tea was very good as well. They use the smaller boba or pearls in default which is very soft and chewy. If you're a local, get their stamp card since they do give out those as well. What really made this place stand out was their really nice and friendly service. The drinks may take a bit but it's because they make every drink from scratch. The Luna matcha was disappointing because it tasted super grainy. The watermelon 2020 was delicious and refreshing. Without a doubt, this little shop has the best boba in Chinatown. Granted, competition isn't exactly steep, but hey, they may be the pioneers for a new boba boom in the area! I had the Jasmine Green Milk Tea, and it was solid! Not too sweet, but went perfectly with their boba (which was on the slightly sweeter side). Their milk teas only come in one size (~16 oz.), and the Jasmine Green Milk Tea was $3.95. The shop itself is adorable but small, with maybe 3 or so tables, and a counter with stools. I didn't see a restroom available, so I'm not entirely sure if this is a great place to bust out a laptop to work/study. read more
