Been using Bubbles exclusively for my wash and fold and dry cleaning going on 7 years. They separate whites from darks and meticulously clean, press and fold everything. Always go above and beyond to ensure timely delivery and quality control. From shoes to hats to hemming they never fail to impress. My own washing machine is less trustworthy than their quality of service when it comes to keeping my clothes looking as good as new. I can't figure out which part of my experience has been worse. I brought 5 baseball caps to this place to be drycleaned. For those who are familiar, baseball caps have a distinct crown shape that needs to be maintained and this is why I brought them to a "reputable" cleaners, or so I thought. I dropped the hats off and --specifically-- asked if they can clean them and KEEP THE SHAPE. They said yes no problem.. When I got the caps back, all of them are bent and crinkled, the embroidery is inverted, and one of the hats (an expensive, rare 2004 Red Sox World Series cap) is MISSING the World Series patch! Obviously frustrated and upset, I drive back to the cleaners the same day for a refund and I was told the manager is not there, they need his consent, and to come back the next day. Makes no sense that the employees there are not capable of solving major client issues, OR at least an assistant mgr available when the mgr is not. I come back the next day and the mgr "stepped out". I come back a THIRD time, which was grossly inconvenient, just to have the manager tell me the hats were just not steamed correctly. This was pretty obvious. He said they can take them back and have them steamed properly, however not only do I not trust this cleaners at all, I needed these hats for this particular weekend. I also asked where the Red Sox World Series patch was, and they claimed they need a photo of what the patch looked like (I found a photo online and texted it to the mgr), and they also needed to call the cleaning plant to try and find it. At this point the hat is ruined and worthless. All five caps are $400 in value altogether at LEAST, and they are lucky I didn't ask for the value, and only wanted my refund. I paid $71 for 5 hats, that's ~$14 per hat! Robbery to begin with. Just for them to come out the way they did. The manager pushed back each time I politely asked for a refund, then offered to write me a CHECK for $50 and "try to figure this out". I don't know who keeps/writes physical checks anymore, nor why they couldn't simply use their 2021 digital card reader/system to refund me the same way I paid, but $50 was a ridiculous solution to offer. He finally wrote me the check for the full amount I paid after 15 minutes going back and forth. Hats ruined, having to come back THREE times, barely any admission of guilt, borderline suspicious of there being a patch on the hat to begin with, poor service-- all reasons I will never be back. read more

I'm sorry but not really! This business needs ZERO stars! I've been coming here for a while now taking my boyfriends suits to this dry cleaners since we moved to Hollywood. So I always pay extra for delivery just what I do and I like! You have one job! DELIVERY! That's your job! So this kid never shows up with my stuff! Yet I'm looking at the clock like ok it's 3:00 already no show. It's now 5:00 and I'm getting worried like ok? What happened? So I call this place up and some Girl answers the phone telling me "Oh he forgot, but hey you can come and pick it up. It's been ready by the way!" Like you're kidding?! He had ONE job! ONE! To deliver his one job! Delivering customers clean clothes! And couldn't to just that?! That's just so sad! The best part of all is that they still charged my card for delivery(which for some odd reason can't do) plus did not even have the decency to refund me! Train your employees better! Or don't have them deliver so many items in one day that it can't be met! Easy as that! read more

AVOID. Bad communication. Bad customer service. I live across the street at Eastown and I wanted to try it because they were conveniently right across the street and they offer free delivery to residents. I dropped off my comforter last Saturday and was told: 1) delivery would be on Tuesday which is fine... I wasn't in a huge rush and 2) I won't get charged until my comforter gets delivered. Tuesday rolls around and I see a charge on my bank statement. I go in the leasing office Wednesday late afternoon and it's not there. Well now it's Saturday, a week later after I dropped it off. My boyfriend went into leasing yesterday and it still wasn't there AND I dropped by leasing today and told me they tried to get a hold of Bubbles but haven't heard anything back. By this point, my patience has worn off. I call and they told me they're sorry and they had to run my comforter a couple times in a wash because there was a stain. I smell total ***BS*** last time the comforter was used was when a guest came over and since I was the one cleaning up after, I saw that there was no freakin stain. Besides if it was really in the wash more than a few times, why didn't they pick up the phone and call? Why did they even charge me on my delivery date? Will not come here again. read more

UPDATE 6/1-17 Right after I submitted my review. Mike the owner called me up. He was very polite and we did go through why I wasn't happy about them. He offered me free services for what's need to be done on the same blouse. The stitching on button holes and the collar back of the neck. I was very pleased with the outcome! They also provided the tailor with the right thread for this blouse. I'm very positive now about Bubbles and will highly recommend them to my friends and family! Thanks Mike for calling me. I know there is no guarantee when it comes to very old clothing, handpainted etc. But i felt this would work, even if it was handpainted. The blouse came out really good!! All staines, exept for 2 old ones that just wont go away. But i felt happy that the handpainted part survived. KEEP READING.. its here it gets 2 stars. Upon my arrivel when handing the blouse, i also neede some repair. since its 100% silk, small moth holes, ripped seams etc. I just needed them to go through the blouse from top to bottom, including the button holes.... The man that searved me, also pointed out that theres a hole (armpit) that need repair before washing, otherwise it might rip-up moore. So we AGREED that this was key here.since its VINTAGE. Almost a week later, driving from Marina del rey. The blouse wasn't ready. It was cleaned, but not even repaird. ARE YOU JOKING? ...AND he said that the seam underneath the armpit needed repair before wash, WASNT FIXED. At this point, im pissed. We agreed that they would fix this, and i would pick it up next week. SSSoooo.... heres the finished reasult.. eh, A-R-E Y-O-U K-I-D-D-I-N-G M-E Yes, the hole underneath the armpit was done, great job there. It came out seamless looking, but heres the crinch. The blouse wasnt gone throughly AT ALL... ALLL!!! Seaveral holes where still undon. The neck had a ripped seam and i fixed that myself looong ago. So it needed a proffesionall hand here. IT WASNT FIEX EITHER. so dont even get me started what really grind my gears. The buttom holes. shit. it looks like a 6-yearold did this. I even said that to another guy that was greating me, i havent seen him before, but he heard me loud and clear. Every well educated, vintage loving person out there KNOWS, KNOWS. That SILK, dos NOT get fixed with allround thread. I need thin silk thread. Why? Because, otherwise the allround thread WILL puncture the silk fabric and make it worse. Also, the stiching it self looks so darn terrible. after had to here the guy defending the shity work, all i got was 10dollar off. They wanted to have 25dollars for the seams being done. Naaaah man. Dont think so. In total i payed 28dollars. SO FOLKS, TAKE YOUR VINTAGE SOMEWHERE ELSE! and by the way, i can sew way better then this, its just. sometimes, you just whanted it to be done by a professionall and sit back and be taken care of. I don't often write reviews but just wanted to take a second to give a big shoutout to Bubbles Dry Cleaners. They are kind of tucked away but look for their sign on the street. It's a little confusing because the Wells Fargo is at the same address but if you go down the little side alley thing they are there. Anyway I called these guys up to press a shirt really short notice and they couldn't do it because the pressers were not working but offered to steam it on the spot. Thankfully they hooked me up and saved the day. Insane short notice, and only charged me $5. FIVE BUCKS to steam my shirt with zero notice. Wow. You can't go wrong with this place. I come here frequently to have clothes pressed and cleaned. They are very quick, very professional, and easy to work with. I wil normally drop off 3-5 articles of clothing to them and usually about two to three days later they send me a message saying it's ready to be picked up. They've always done the job right and I've not really had any need for them to redo something. I've also had a few items altered which they do a great job with. These usually take a day or two longer than the cleaning but it's always simple and done right. I plan to keep going to Bubbles because I'm a professional who is always on the go and when I need my clothes serviced they do a fine job. I highly recommend Bubbles Dry Cleaning Service. read more

I went to Bubbles Dry Cleaners after a thrift trip for the removal of shoulder pads in a blazer & reinforced stitching of a lace slip. I was quoted with a very reasonable price, so I recommend this function, and the product was phenomenal. Clean stitching and expert advice (I had asked where I should get the stitches reinforced). They had it done in mere hours (though they said that varies depending on if the tailor is in) and texted me promptly to pick up. I loved this place and will absolutely be back. read more

Bubbles did a great job with a huge load of laundry that we brought in. We found them through Groupon, and will likely continue using them :) Mike helped me, and he really hooked it up. Not only do they have a great deal going (they give you a 20% neighborhood discount if you make them your regular cleaners), but he also lent me some quarters for the meter on Vine when I told him where I was parked! *TIP* If you enter the W Hotel parking/valet from Argyle, tell them you're going to the cleaners and there is a 5 minute load/unload zone right in front of Bubbles. The decor is way updated and doesn't give you the slightest hint that you're at the dry cleaners. And, they send you a courtesy text when your clothes are ready to be picked up :) read more

Just found this spot after I've tried about 7 other dry cleaners in the surrounding area. Yes they are pricey and if this was the first place I tried I would probably be shocked. But since every other dry cleaners I've used has either ruined my clothes or gave them back to me less then satisfactory I can say that bubbles is worth the price. Mostly dry cleaning is like going to the dentist--something that you put off until you can wait no longer, and then hope to get it over as quickly as possible. But Bubbles changed this! First off, it's a pretty, trendy little spot that makes me think the last place I am is a dry cleaners. The service is always great and quick, and the results are just what I asked for (I know, a rarity!) But best of all, they don't charge a premium for the fact that they are 100% better than any other dry cleaner. I live close by to Bubbles and I have never been to a dry cleaner that had such fast and high quality service. They did an impeccable job on my clothes and delivered them. Who could ask for more? Also they have tons of other services like alterations and shoe repair, which I have yet to use, but imagine their other services are just as good. I really like this place because it is infinitely more aesthetically pleasing than other dry cleaners with those tacky rotating lines with all the clothes. Bought a yelp deal and decided to try them since I saw some fantastic reviews about them. Plus, I had a pile of stuff to dry clean. Had a tweed jacket which had fluff coming out at the back of the jacket. They removed the fluff and jacket looked brand new. Had a crumpled trench coat and when I got it back, it looked lighter (and cleaner) and ironed out perfectly. Location is a little hard to find. Just drive in as if you want to valet at the W Hotel. If you are on Hollywood Boulevard headed towards Hollywood and Highland, just turn left right before W Hotel and immediately turn right. You can stop right in front of the store to drop off and pick up. It's usually very quiet which means you can get in and out in a jiffy. Will definitely send all my expensive clothes here next time. read more

I had my wedding dress altered at Bubbles, and they did an amazing job. The way the pickups were done on the skirt made it very difficult to shorten, but they found an amazing solution that made it look better than it did initially! They also took in the waist to fit perfectly. I was very impressed with the time they took to make it perfect, as well as steaming it before letting me take it home :) They also dry cleaned a silk shirt I had with year-old sweat stains (ew, I know) so it looked brand new! Perfect. I brought in an irreplaceable orange Castelli mechanic's sweater that I bought at iMartin bikes years ago. You know those people who take perfect care of their favorite clothes and would NEVER do anything stupid while wearing them? I am not one of those people. Years of grease, dirt, and "souvenirs" from LA's finest taco trucks had left me with a permanent record of my adventures in that sweater, and this is AFTER I had paid top dollar at some swanky places. Amazingly, these folks got EVERYTHING out for about 9 bucks. It seriously looks brand new. I'm so happy to report that Bubbles will codependently support those of us who fit into the "Wear your favorite clothes and damn the consequences" category. These guys do good work. My orders have all been completed as promised. They have a sincere done-right policy and guarantee any oversights. Super convenient five-minute parking (Bubbles is just past the valet and entrance to the W) , and they do repairs, including handbags. If you want cheap there are several other businesses in the area, that as far as I know have good reputations. Personally though, when it comes to dry cleaning I've learned my lesson the hard way in the past, I would rather pay the extra 20% and leave my almost-irreplaceable social garb in the hands of people I trust. read more

Very convenient! - Quality dry clean service. - Upon your second time using them, they give you a great reusable bag to bring your dirty clothes in. - You may see a celebrity hop into a big, black, tinted SUV while you're there... If you're into that sort of thing. Con: - The price. Its a bit more expensive than your average dry cleaner. In the past I would not have paid this much, but after realizing that every other dry cleaner I went to produced unreliable results, sometimes ruining/shrinking my nice clothes, I've decided its worth it to know that you're going to get your clothes back looking great and in their original size! Bubbles is pretty cool. I found them here on Yelp when I had accumulated a bunch of things to be dry cleaned/altered after a massive pre-spring cleaning overhaul of my closet (yikes). I was attracted to the good reviews, the yelp deal (which I purchased), and the promise of free delivery (even though I ended up picking my stuff up). Also, the 5-minute loading zone in the W valet area is genius. Drop-off was quick and painless, and I have absolutely no complaints about the dry-cleaning. Everything came back looking and smelling nice, and they even called to tell me they were going to take one more day to make another pass on one of the dresses I'd brought in due to a stain. Alterations were pretty good as well -- I had minor repairs done on a dress, and had a skirt taken from a size large down to a size small, and it looks great. I also brought in a pair of wideleg jeans to be tapered through the thigh to the knee (not a big fan of the wideleg style after all). It's sometimes so hard to tell if they're going to come out how you want them to during the initial measurements, and once I got them home, I realized that they weren't quite as fitted as I'd envisioned them. I called up to Bubbles right away, and was able to bring them back in a few days later. The second time they turned out much closer to what I was wanting. They did charge me to re-do the jeans -- $18 for the original tapering, and $10 for the re-do. Total damage was about $115, which included 6 items for dry-cleaning, one dress repair, one skirt re-sized, one pair of pants tapered, and the same pants re-tapered. read more

Additionally, I want to point out that one day they kept the shop open late for me because I didn't realize what time they closed and I told them I needed my work pants for the week. Great Dry Cleaners with a focus on the locals. Mike was extremely helpful, explained all pricing, and was extremely accommodating with any and all requests I made of him. You would think this dry cleaner would be really expensive since it is inside the W Hotel but it is extremely affordable, as well as accessible: There are a few spots reserved for drop off & picking up of your dry cleaning in the same area where Hotel guests check-in, so just swing into the parking lot off Argyle and let the valet guy know you're there for Bubbles. This review is for 3 services: dry cleaning, shoe repair and shoe cleaning. Short version: take your items here. Top notch service, always with a friendly greeting. First, shoe cleaning - excellent results! I spilled red wine on tan satin flats... a lost cause, right? Not for Bubbles! I had nearly decided to toss my favorite flats due to my inopportune wine spillage. I thought I'd give it a shot at cleaning, despite friends telling me the shoes were ruined. When I picked up my shoes from Bubbles, I was delighted to see 2 matching flats, beautifully cleaned and polished! all scuff marks AND wine removed! well done, Bubbles. Second, shoe repair is equally great. I've had 3 pairs of heels fixed here and have been happy every time, especially considering some of the heels were torn up a bit. (Note: walking on cobblestones is not the greatest way to treat a pair of heels) They were able to pull the torn leather down and make it look as new as possible or at least as unnoticeable as possible. $12 (I think) for regular heel repair. $22 to repair my horribly torn up heels which I thought were beyond repair; they now look nearly new and I saved myself a lot of $ compared to a replacement pair. Third, dry cleaning. I've taken a few loads of dry cleaning here and always been happy. Overall, I'm surprisingly quite happy with Bubbles and will keep returning. I think the best part about them is their friendly service and the pride they take in their work, which is quite obvious after even your first couple of visits. I wouldn't have even tried them if it weren't for the Groupon, as dry cleaning can be quite expensive. Bubbles' prices are not low, but they do have a locals discount and the quality of their service is worth the price. They are also in a convenient location, right at the Hollywood/Vine metro stop.
