The cool thing with them is it's not a subscription, I can buy however many meals I want, if I want to save some money, I can but 10 meals which makes each meal only $7.70 each. If I had a garage fridge you better bet I would take advantage of the 21+ meals for $6.85 a meal! I'm super excited I found this place and how affordable it is compared to factor and other similar services, not to mention how yummy the food has been so far! The pizzas they have there are AMAZING! If they have the Taco pizza make sure to grab one, or the buffalo chicken one. You can eat the whole thing and it fits within my macros! Also, hot tip, The taco pizza is especially amazing dipped in a bit of plain green yogurt and ortega taco sauce! It is honestly one of my current favorite meals, it also feels like a cheat meal, except it isn't! I had a new smoothie today and it was amazing, ask for a starberries and cream smoothie! What a TREAT!!!! I might just have to go back tomorrow and get another one when I pick up my meals for the week! The owner is very very nice and all of the people who work there are great. They always recognize me when I come in now, which is such a nice touch! This place is a no brainer if you are a busy person like me who wants to eat healthy! The only thing I haven't tried yet is a meal from their menu for dine in, but I plan to do that soon with some friends with Orange Theory after class :)

He offered to give me the phone number to corporate, or some coupons. I accepted the coupons, gave him my email and phone number, and waited two weeks for the coupons. Nothing. Checked my spam every day. Nothing. Another lie. The company I work for reached some goal they had set, and were getting Portillo's for everyone three days ago. I ordered the Big Italian Beef Sandwich. It showed up with very little beef in the bread. I mean not even enough to fill the regular size one. They charged $10.69 for a longer bread, it was not wet like I ordered. and it had hot peppers instead of sweet peppers. Nothing like I am used to, and nothing like the photos. Failure once again. I am going to go to the Crystal Lake location and order the same sandwich. If it is lacking, then Portillo's corporate is making a big mistake. If it is as good as it should be, then the Algonquin location needs to find a new Manager A.S.A.P.

I cannot say enough good things about this sub shop. The service is outstanding! I have yet to meet anyone not friendly. They are helpful in selecting a sandwich, and explaining their products. The sandwiches are outstanding! Let me first start by telling you that the Italian bread is so fresh! I always get the small, which is not small by any means. It is 6 inches of a mouthful of happiness! Then you add your own toppings-I get it loaded with fresh veggies, cheese, oil and vinegar. I also get a side of their homemade Giardiniera-it is so good. So about 25 mins passes and I arrive with my 2 year old daughter ready to pick up my food. The restaurant is inside the train station and it's a pretty cool setup. My daughter absolutely loved running around the place. I walk up to the cashier and tell them I'm here to pick up my order and the gentlemen tells me he hasn't even started my order yet and there was some issues going on in the kitchen. He said it's going to be another 10 mins before the food can be ready. Uh oh... I'm going to have to ding 1 star because this should have been updated that it's going to take a lot longer than expected. I wait the 10 mins and the food gets done and then I head home. Overall the food was good and as you can see from my pictures it's a not a traditional cuban sandwich but it was good, and I'd get it again. Fries were hot and crispy and my daughter enjoyed her chicken strips. Breaking Bread has always been a good alternative for grabbing lunch in Crystal Lake.
