Hands down the best sub sandwiches in the area! Im the type of person that when I eat at a restaurant I normally find one thing I like and just stick with that every time I return. Bubs is one of the rare places that I have a hard time deciding what to get each time I stroll in because there are so many great sandwiches to choose from. The Italian beef is outstanding. The Club Bub (Roast Turkey & Ham with Bacon) is my favorite toasted sub. If you are looking for a cold option the Americano with Krakus ham is fantastic. I just wanted to pass along an experience that I had a couple of days ago. My wife and I really enjoy the subs and now I have to say I enjoy the customer attention there too. I was going there to get diner and I had my son with me, we were standing in line and had already ordered and I realized I left the coupon in the car. I asked the man taking the money if I really needed the coupon to get the price, fully accepting to pay full price and I was okay with that. It was my fault I forgot, I just didn't want to get out of line and go get it. Well the attendant offered to follow me to the car and get the coupon after giving me the discounted price, I said yes and thanked him very much. Long story short, they made my meal cheaper and made the experience easier than they needed too. I appriciate that, especially now that I have kids. read more

I really liked Jersey Mikes when they opened up. Then BUBS SUBS opened. Now I don't go to Jersey Mikes anymore! The sandwiches here are unreal. The bread is fantastic. Saw Bubs on Chicago's Best and needed to try one. We had the Cheezy Beef and Godfather with Bub's signature giardinera on both. The bread was awesome with a crispy crust and soft inside. Both subs had generous portions of meat and toppings. The giardinera has just the right level of spiciness - not so hot that you lose the flavors of the sandwich. Pricing is reasonable for the quality. Glad we made the drive up to try it. read more

I frequent this establishment. I have tried every sub on the menu, including some that aren't on it. I have never had one I didn't enjoy. They only use the highest quality ingredients. The staff is very friendly, and make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is very laid back, typically with good classic rock playing in the background. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent sandwich in the area. Make sure to take a pint of their homemade giardiniera home with you! I put it on everything. They basically go to next door to caputos for all ingredients! the homemade gardienra is just CAPUTOS Gardienra. you can get the same sandwich AT Caputos deli for a 6 inch for $.450 foot long for 7.50. they charge way to much when you can get the same thing they have for a much cheaper price. Only thing worth getting you cant get cheaper at caputos is the Beef sandwich Dont get me wrong the subs are delicious, but when you can get the same exact thing for half the price next door its just common sense read more

The reviews were right - they have the best sandwiches and the employees are always very nice and friendly when you walk in. Great subs! I'm glad we stopped in. The bread is definitely better than the other chain and local sub shops. At $11 their largest subs are pricey, but it'll definitely fill you up and is worth it. The dining area can get cramped when they're crowded, but being busy is a good thing. They do lose a star for not having cheddar cheese. read more

This place was definitely 5 stars when they first opened and when the owner was there every day. The bread is delicious. The service is great, but the sandwiches just aren't the same. I don't know if it's because they use a scale now and less meat, or if they changed the brand of lunch meat. I'll still go there when I have a taste for a sub. PRO's: The food is very good and the staff is very nice. Overall I've had good experiences here. CON's: To me the pricing is expensive and the food prepping isn't the fastest service in the world--but perhaps I've always been there during busy times. If you can wait a few more minutes and don't mind paying a bit more then this is a good choice. read more

Pretty good subs! So many to choose from, our first time in here. We didn't know what to pick. The girl who made our sandwiches was sweet and explained everything to us first timers. This used to be a quiznos, so your getting similiar sandwiches from here (big and toasty). Guys working there were really friendly, greeting everyone that came in. Dominick and his team are personable and deliver exceptional service(which you don't find anywhere anymore). The giardinera is so good and love that's its homemade. My favorite sub: *The Godfather*. This place is pricier than subway or firehouse subs. But it's worth the extra $. The bread is fresh and so is the deli. They're not greedy they really stuff your sandwich with whatever you want. We went to Bubs Subs for the first time on Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch based on other Yelp reviews. This place was so good, we went back again the next day!! All of their sauces are homemade. Everything is fresh. If you like spicy, you have to try the El Nino italian beef sandwich. It is so good, it's sinful! Generous and top quality classic subs. Great meat. Good roll. Excellent toppings. My son and I had the Godfather and the Wise Guy. Great flavor and very satisfying. Giardiniera and tomatoes were great. These are a lost art outside of the city.
