I've always loved Buc-ee's until now. I told my husband we will not be coming back to support them. We left spending $150 dollars this visit. I go to the truck and remove the tags to the socks I just bought and notice they are defective. The message was made on the same side for each sock making it backwards when worn for one foot. I go in to return or exchange and told I can't do either. NO RETURNS IS THEIR POLICY & I CANT EXCHANGE THE DEFECTIVE ITEM BECAUSE THE TAGS ARE REMOVED!!! It's official, Buc-cee's is now open in Springfield! In fact they just opened today. It's an honor to be able to add this location to Yelp and be the first to post a review. Of course if you have ever been in a Buc-ee's you are aware of how awesome they are. If you have not you absolutely must hit this place up. It's a full on Mecca for the traveling man. There are 120 gas pumps available. Awesome bbq sandwiches are made on the spot. They have an entire wall of jerky and the Kolaches and baked goods are amazing. The Buc-ee's logo can be found everywhere and there is no shortage of kitschy things to buy. The crowds are almost as amazing as the sheer amount of stuff to buy, almost bordering on a circus like atmosphere here. The restrooms are epically huge and clean. And getting in and out of here isn't too bad. But this is definitely not a quick swing through for gas kind of place. It's a destination, not a stop. read more

I never leave reviews for gas stations or anywhere that isn't a restaurant. BUT, today I decided to visit the Buc-ee's just outside of town, (Springfield) when I went in I asked one of the employees what the best brand item was and he said, "The Texas Cheesesteak Burrito for sure." So of course I had to give it a try and let me just say it was by far the best burrito both myself and my wife had ever had! The service in here is amazing, bathrooms incredibly clean, and gummy bears hit like always. If you're in town and haven't been over here yet it's a fun date night that is unusual from the typical dinner and a movie. Definitely a must try! read more

Convenience Store? Really? I find it a hard stretch to define this massive fuel and retail stop a convenience store. A 7-11 is a convenience stop, this is more like a Walmart that wants to be a convenience store, sprinkle it with glitter and toss in a cute comic beaver and then you have a small idea of what Buc-ee's Springfield is all about... and I love it! As a West Coaster who is more "city" than "rural" despite growing up in southern Indiana, it has taken me 24 hours before putting digits to keyboard to describe my first time experience at a Buc-ee's, let along the "Grand Opening" of Buc-ee's Springfield that occurred yesterday (the first one in the entire state of Missouri!). 53,000 square feet, 120 fuel pumps, a BBQ station, a jerky bar, a fudge shop and a retail space that more resembles a football field packed full of everything from hand soap containers, to coffee mugs and souvenirs to Bucc-ee's famous Beaver Nuggets...not to mention the vast food offerings. Yesterday was opening day and imagine a Walmart and a truck stop (with 120 fuel pumps!) and a grocery store and a gift shop all mashed together. And because it was opening day, let me toss in a circus as well! It was too overwhelming to me to fully process this Buc-ee's being the first time I have gone to one. Apparently to the uninitiated like myself, one of the staff members told me that this Texas-based gas station and "convenience store" is the same size as all the others. Are you kidding me? LOL! One day you too will walk in to form your own opinions. To the help of fellow Yelpers that might take a peak at my review, I highlight 3 quick observations: PET AREA: Away from the building on the other side of the sea of gas pumps, you will find a water retention area that is surrounded by a paved walking path for pets. It runs the length of the gas pump area, has many green poop bag/disposal areas and good grass. A super nice area for your pets, like the one I am traveling with, on your long haul to wherever. BATHROOMS: When the sign says "world famous," that statement is no joke. A large amount of space with individual stalls that have real walls! To a woman, this is important and a nice touch after sitting in a car all day. This restroom could not have been cleaner. I have read that this is what indeed makes Buc-ee's a bit world famous. BEAVER NUGGETS: Kellog's corn pops covered in maple syrup....that is a beaver nugget to me. Coming in various flavors from sea salted caramel to bold & spicy, these nuggets are supposedly famous too. Full of sugar and crap that a health conscious person like myself snubs, don't open the bag! They are the unexpectedly delicious sweet/savory item enjoyed on a road trip that captures your taste buds in guilty pleasure like a kid. Worth the sugary moment, but don't tell my trainer. I could go on about this moment, this memory this experience for pages. But let me wrap it up by saying that this oasis of this mega size convenience store is a road side stop and a destination not to be missed for the weary travelers who have never been to one. I may never go to one again not living in this area of the country, but on the roadtrip I am on now, I will never forget this moment in time....and I have a Buc-ee's t-shirt to prove it! read more

At first i was intimidated by the big crowd. Bucees is very popular. And sooo biggg. Everyone was rushing around. I nearly got backed into a corner by the crowd and just before i was about to cry... Bucee himself divided the sea of people. He reached his arm out to me. He put me up on his shoulders and carried me to safety at the front door. Some witnesses noticed that he saved my life and started applauding his heroism. A parade of people were following behind us, chanting "BUCEE! BUCEE! BUCEE!" It was the most magical day of my life. The crowd followed us all the way to the parking lot, chanting and clapping. They are driving everything from Maseratis to barely running rusty Ford Mavericks; all endlessly circling for that vacant parking spot. A line of gas pumps that extend into the next zip code. The build up to finally stopping at Buc-cees was probably more exciting than the actual visit itself. You see the streamers and decor from miles away. Exiting off the freeway, I was SHOCKED to see they had nearly 40 gas pumps. At that point they didn't even need a parking lot, because people would just park at the pumps. Their parking lot was insanely big, and terrifying to navigate due to the blind spots, huge open roadways, and lack of stop/yield signs. Once we got in, we beelined to the jerky. They had wine, alcohol, a fresh bakery/deli with items being made every second. They had pulled pork sandwiches, tacos, burritos, plenty of desserts, pre-packaged salads (mine was so yummy and filling) and every type of packaged snack you could think of (pickle slices, cubed cheese, apples, crackers, veggie trays, fruit cups). They also had almost an entire half of their store dedicated to clothes, home decor, and other non-food items. It reminded me of a Frys or Kroger. My boyfriend also made a note of how clean the bathrooms were. He said it looked as if they cleaned it and nobody had ever used it!!! I wish I had gone in the womens room to see for myself!! Our total was $38 for some snacks, Icee, magnet, salad, jerky sticks, and a burrito. Kind of expensive but we also went for the experience! Buc-ee's was amazing and it totally lived up to my expectations. The mascot is so cute and there's merch of him everywhere. I love that there are so many food stations, from BBQ and Mexican food, and also lots of beef jerky and beaver nuggets. I also got to meet the famed costumed beaver. I got a round plush, a limited edition 2024 Halloween Buc-ee's shirt, some jerky, socks, scrunchie, a long-sleeve tee, and I love them all. Super clean bathrooms and so many staff members to help you out with whatever you need! I love that they also pay their employees a competitive wage. Stopped at this Bucee's on a Thursday for lunch, and it wasn't super crowded, a big plus! It's been almost a year since my last Bucee's stop, so a change-up with their food: All Bucee's have discontinued their kiosk ordering system for more sandwich options. This is totally fine by me, no biggie, and an understandable decision as Bucee's strives for the fast, friendly, fluffin fantastic motto. Now, all food offerings are out in cold cases throughout the store - mostly in the same general area as their BBQ and nuts stands. Employees were busy making food in the open-viewing kitchen area and constantly restocking. I got a nice-and-tight saran wrapped Crispy Chicken Bacon Avocado wrap for the road, which hit the spot - happy tummy and tastebuds! I also love how management is stationed all throughout every Bucee's, so I never have to go far, or up to the registers and stand in line, if I happen to need clarification. Bought a bunch of stuff, but man oh man the star of the trip wasn't even known until weeks later when I thawed the deboned crawfish jambalaya stuffed chicken and roasted it off. This little masterpiece of flavor and convenience was out of this world! I basted it with a creole butter sauce at the end of the cook time to get a beautiful golden brown, but the flavors were incredible. The only bones are the 2 wings. They carry it in a freezer case where I recommend you grab some boudin sausage from as well. We were traveling and had almost a 4 hour ride left, but no problem.. I even bought a convenient buc-ee's insulated zippered bag that kept all my stuff frozen and cold. I will never pass one of these places up when I am traveling. It is a guaranteed stop! read more

This is a spectacular business. They have everything ! Over 100 pumps. It's literally the best stop you would want to make on your way to anywhere . They make fresh tortillas, Baked goods fresh burritos, fresh tacos, beef jerky, houseware clothing Water floats, barbecue grills, ice, and of course, any drink you can think of. So I lost my cherry at buc-ees. My virgin visit!! tell you I've never had to stand in line to get out of a restroom until today. Way to many people and way to crowded. I will give them credit as they did have enough cashiers working only grabbed a coffee and tht was even difficult with all the options and choices. We've heard a lot about this place so we had to stop and check it out on our way to Branson. We got the sliced brisket sandwiches, which were pretty delicious. They were around $8.50 each and filling. They had a good variety of stuff to eat. It would've been nice if they had a little area where you could sit down to eat. We just ate in our car. Lots of different candies and popcorn to choose as well as the Buc-ees puffed Carmel corn, which was delicious. On a roadtrip and came up on a #Bucees and we had to stop. Heard so much about this place with all its gas pumps, restrooms and eats. Definitely met my expectations. I picked up their #BBQChoppedBeefBrisket and #TatorTots to go. They didn't disappoint except I wished I would have tasted the BBQ sauce before I left because I loved it. I'll be ordering it for sure. I also picked up an assortment of their fudge. They let me try as many as I wanted and I ended up getting a box. My favorite is #TigerButter and #PeanutButterChocolate. Man, this place has everything! My first visit to a Buc-ee's was on my way to Florida. I was amazed such a place existed. It was frightfully busy, yet there was no wait for anything. (Not for me, at least.) There were more gas pumps than I had ever seen in one place. There were so many spotless restroom stalls! And they had food: fresh sandwiches, pastries, fudge, jerky, spiced nuts, and housemade kettle chips in addition to the usual prepackaged convenience store snacks. Lining the back wall were the beverage stations with coffee, tea, soda, and slushies, but they also had a fridge case with bottled drinks. The other half of the store has a bunch of quirky merch, lots of it sporting Buc-ee's face. You are guaranteed to find something for those white elephant parties at Christmas or for that hard-to-buy-for person you just have to bring a souvenir to. The Springfield location is similarly great but maybe not as big as the Georgia locations. It doesn't matter though. It's still huge and has all the stuff mentioned above and more. Well we've heard about these gas station convenience stores so on a trip to Springfield we needed to refill gas tank and use bathroom so this was 10 minutes away. Very convenient off highway. Hundreds of pumps. Great place to walk your dog and if you don't have a baggie they offer free ones. The bathrooms were super clean and very well attended. I got fudge and honey and nuggets. All great. Everyone talks about the nuggets and they are correct. My one negative is in this bright and clean tourist trap... The volume of voices and music was overwhelming. A great selection of stuff to shop. Pretty easy to over spend here. But hang on to your kids hand as it's busy. Next time we're this way we want to come down to have more time to look over everything. Everyone needs to come here at least once. Add it to your list. read more
