During the insane storm Houston had on May 16, power was out everywhere. When I came by the morning of May 17th there were about 50 bags of ice (starting to melt) outside. I waited in a long line to buy a few bags and the cashiers said they weren't selling them. They had no idea why just was doing "what they were told". When I explained to the cashier that it was to save my breastmilk during the outage he got the manager. The manager looked me up and down and proudly said he wasn't selling them. Again, no legitimate reason why. The manager was extremely rude, walked away as I was trying to ask questions and just didn't care. I have a newborn, breastmilk is his source of food. The fact that this manager wouldn't sell ice that was already getting melty in the Houston heat was barbaric. The manager clearly loves a good power trip. Will NEVER come here again. Oh, and I did end up saving my 1500oz of breastmilk thanks to CHICK FIL A for selling ice. read more

We go to this Bucees every Friday for our weekend treat! My kiddos get icees and I get myself a large Diet Coke. It's such a nice environment and always so clean. The staff has always been friendly and so kind except for one occasion. Hoping it was just a bad day! This location is small but mighty. They have a small footprint (compared to my favorite locations) but what they lack in square footage, they make up in amenities. The coffee bar pumps out delicious blends and the kitchen cooks up tasty eats right when you order them. There's several rows of snacks with all of the chips and cookies and candy you can think of. My kids (and myself) love it. Outside, are more than a dozen gas pumps, plus a bug wash, a car wash, and a row of vacuums. Some of those are things I've never even seen before! read more

Sprinkled across the state, they serve as a state feature that have themselves become destinations in between your road trip destination. The Cypress location is more of a convenience store than your behemoth of a stop like you'll find elsewhere. Tucked on the corner of Mueschke Rd (Mue-ush-key, just name the damn road Match Rd or something) and 290, the small outpost doesnt really standout from its surroundings. It still features the car wash and all the good made to order food, drinks, coffee and Buc-ee favorites. Most notably absent is the minimal amount of branded items available for purchase. However, considering the small size of the store its easy to understand why. Tip: If you want the typical Buc-ees experience, stay on 290 for another 15/20 minutes going WB towards Austin. If you're coming EB, you passed it up even with the big ass Bucee sign lording over the landscape. You don't deserve either. read more

As much money as they make, they cannot afford to give a customer a paper bag instead of plastic. This was absolutely ridiculous. I love Buc-ee's and seldom pass one. This location, however, is the exception. It is usually busy but isn't up to the same standards as their other locations. I stopped this morning for a quick restroom break and sweet tea. To my horror, the restroom was not clean, not by a long shot. They only have three stalls and two were yucky. My next disappointment was NO extra large cups. I asked an attendant for a larger cup, and she confirmed they didn't have large cups. The tea was great, as always but geeze, I need more tea than a large! The employees were all nice and they are advertising for help, but please clean your restrooms! read more

When headed to Texas from Louisiana you see a billboard for Buc-ees 272 miles before the station. I don't even know if that is for this station, but tho advertise that far away must mean the station is something special. Buc-ees offers gas like any other station, but they also have a kick ass car wash. If you purchase the top orbs line wash, you get a significant discount on your fuel purchase. It doesn't make up for the cost of the wash, but it is nice to get something. The car wash is very thorough. After you exit, there are free vacuums. I don't know I would plan my trip around it, but if you're in the area Buc-ees is worth a stop. read more

On Wednesday I went by the morning to get 20 bucks on gas and a hippotaco at the pump 18. Jusrt right after I paid and I specifically said PUMP 18 (they normally show you the car at the screen) I went to put my gas and the pump didn't had my 20 prepaid gas. , I went back to the cashier and I him and me we where really nice at the moment we even joked about it, I said you may got mistaken a put another one. He says that I said 19, of course after he checked at his computer because he didn't remember. I laughed and said no, it was on 18. Anyways he kept saying that it was on 19, and then the manager comes, she says "ill be right back" instead of just put me back the gas on my pump OR just told me to go to the other pump she lasted about 15 minutes, she went to check the cameras, she said that I said ON CAMERA pump 19, come guys. I am an Hispanic immigrant. But I have 5 years living in this country and I know English really well. I KNOW I SAID 18, anyways. She kept confronting me saying that I said 19 (?????) keep in mind that we where really calm all the time. I told her that I wanted to see it, she said that I can call the cops I wanted. I just told that is ridiculous. And left. I was really mad in my car, I just kept thinking about she told me to call the cops. So I did. , but I regretted and left, for 20 dollars guys. Love Buc-ee's! This is a smaller footprint store but same quality and cleanliness you get at the huge megaplexes. Same great bathrooms but only two stalls (I've never seen a waiting line though). Only slight downside is the jerky here doesn't seem as fresh; they are in sealed poly bags versus the deli-style refrigerated offerings of jerky in the bigger stores. read more

I've had this Buc-ees bookmarked for far too long. Wish I woulda snagged that FTR, dagnabbit! But oh well.. If you're ever on your way westward on 290, headed to Austank, Somerville, College Station and the like, thank your lucky Beaver Nuggets there's a Buc-ees along the way. I've been here a few times, but most recently it was around 6am when I swung in for 5 giant bags of Beaver Nuggets to share with some of my favorite peeps at Yelp HQ in San Francisco - and also brag about Texas' awesomeness. "You're gonna be sick," the cashier jokingly told me. Oh, you have no idea... This particular location isn't one of the massive, gargantuan, amusement park-like Buc-ees, but ya know what that means? It's not packed, there's better parking, immediate access to a gas pump, and there's hardly anyone inside. It could just be the random hours I've stopped in, but it's true. Buc-ee's isn't a new concept people! High priced goods and services in a convenient store--think I've been in one or two of those in my life. The delicatessen does have some very tempting and aroma appealing foods, but my wallet is usually immune to that temptation. I only came in to get a spoon so I could eat my yogurt. Fortunately for me, the silverware was stacked and stocked up for public access. Just grabbed one and left out. Mind you, I did purchase a full tank of gas, so I do not think it's a big deal that I grabbed a spoon. I think I was highly impressed by how fast the gas pumped versus the inside attraction. Saved me a few minutes on my drive. I'll take it! Plus, I saw how cheap the bags of ice are--89 cents for an 8lb bag. My life was drab and meaningless until Buc-ee's came to Cypress. As soon as I started shopping there I got a promotion at work, the prom queen from high school called me up out of the blue, and my dog stopped biting me. The fountain drinks are the best. The ice for the drinks is perfectly crushed and is a thing of beauty. Makes the Mona Lisa look like it was drawn in crayon by an arthritic monkey. Try the root beer. It is made with real Imperial sugar, not the nasty fake stuff that other soft drinks use and makes them taste like pure hatred. From the deli I like the ham and cheese melt on their Signature menu. Do yourself a favor and try it. If you don't try it somewhere a kitten will get diarrhea. A note on ordering from the deli: All orders are placed using a touchscreen computer. No human interaction, which is perfect for shut-ins like me who only put on clothes and leave my dank cave for ham sandwiches and root beer. There is soo much more I could go on about, like the super clean bathrooms, beaver nuggets, and VIP shoulder massages. Ok, I made one of those up. Always a pleasure whatever store we stop to rest and get food on the road. Clean bathrooms and genuine people working at Buc-ees.

The car wash didn't remove any of the bird poo or bugs from my car. One of the 2 car wash attendants who were sitting around talking told me I could scrub it with some brushes on the other side of the parking lot. I went inside and talked to the manager Hunter and he told me I couldn't get a refund bc I had already gone through the car wash. I feel it is unfair to pay 12$ for a car wash that didn't clean my car and then get told I need to scrub it myself. If I wanted to wash my car I would have done it at home. I should have been given a refund because I was very unsatisfied with the service. I also find it very hard to believe that a manager can't give a refund with receipt when a service was not provided. read more

This store is fairly small for a Buc-ee's. However, as advertised it is always clean and the service is excellent. I stop here often to use the car wash. It's one of the few in the area that actually get your car clean. Their gas prices can be slightly higher than the area average, so I recommend only getting gas when you're getting a car wash. It is a $.12 discount per gallon if you purchase a car wash. The convenience store has plenty of selections and some made to order hot selections. One additional comment regarding the size, the bathrooms are extremely small. Only 4 urinals and 2 toilets. So remember, this is a Buc-ee's and it does get crowded. So plan according! read more
