The sandwich was a bit smaller than I expected but I didn't mind (about 8 inches). This sandwich had so much potentiel to be great tasting but there was a bitter taste throughout. I say it over and over again that it is almost impossible to find good Cuban food in Orlando. I think the owner is super nice but this doesn't give me what I grew up with and know. Unfortunately. I asked her about the dessert selections and she told me she makes all the desserts. I decided to get the flan. Both the Cuban sandwich and the flan were delicious. It's not too often a coffee house can boast that a couple of Californians traveled clear across the United States to make a point of trying out their coffee. That's pretty much what Joe K and I did! Since we were vacationing in Orlando, Joe did a lot of studying up on the local businesses that we should check out, and Buchita's was at the top of the list, just below all the theme parks of course! On our first day of arrival and settling in, it didn't take long before we needed a source of regeneration after a busy day of disembarking at the airport, losing our luggage, checking in to our condo, renting a car and grabbing breakfast. We were both feeling weak and tired, so Joe drove us straight to Buchita's for some Cuban coffee. We were greeted by the friendly owners as we sat down at bar stools near the front. The wall menu offered a lot of interesting beverages to choose from. I decided on the Cafe con leche and Joe got a Cortadito. They always ask their customers if they want sugar added when making them. When we sat back and relaxed, enjoying the delicious coffee flavors, Joe got to strike up some conversation with one of the owners. We learned that they migrated from Cuba in hopes of starting their own business. Besides the delicious cuban coffees, their desserts are homemade, and food is made to order. The owner also gave Joe a sample of the marinated pork used in their Cuban sandwiches. Which he savored.... Unfortunately, we weren't hungry at that time, but vowed to return soon. 1 week later, we came back to have coffee and brunch. This time I ordered a non-fat iced mocha and the Scrambler (without ham). It consisted of scrambled eggs, cheese, green peppers, onions and tomatoes. My drink and meal were very satisfying. Joe made it a point of returning so he could get the Benny Cuban sandwich. He didn't talk much while eating, because he was enjoying every bite. After finishing our meals, I just had to have dessert! So we shared a chocolate fudge cake. It was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten! So rich and fudgie, just the way I like it! I just wish they were located in my neighborhood! It's sad we won't be able to patronize here ever again! Now we just have the memories, photos and a Yelp review...... read more

Sometimes it's not the owner it's how you come at someone right? I have found that if you're kind and feel the temperature of the room often these "mean" people are gentle kind people. Case and point: Buchito and before you say it's because I'm Latino, this applies to restaurants of all different cuisines because reference the number of reviews I have..I've been to more than a few different spots and try all different types of cuisines. I'm typically not a big fan of Cuban sandwiches but went here based on the yelp rating and I have to agree that the "Benny's Cuban" is a must try if you are in the area. Also the Tres Leches cake is pretty darn good too but probably not good for your waist line : ) Cute like cafe spot ..would definitely return if I was in the area. Came here with my family for a quick stop. I totally recommend the cafe con leche, the tres leche cake and the Cuban sandwich. If your not into strong coffee you may not want coffee from here. Coming off a flight from Los Angeles, I wanted to find a simple and tasty Latin brunch meal. Cuban Sandwiches came to mind and that's why I decided to come down to Buchito located in downtown Kissimmee. Here's what I've ordered: "Benny Cuban" ($8). It has chunks of pork but it tasted dry, dark and a little gamey. The thin slices of ham adds to its already meatier core. Also, there's cheese, pickles and mustard. This choice is the priciest in the list of sandwiches, unfortunately this was my least favorite. "Alexandre" ($7.50). Between the two, I like this one better, because it felt like a complete sandwich with the meat fillings, then the lettuce and tomatoes. The Pastrami was layered with thick slices, and it did have a smooth corned beef texture with a hint of smoke flavor. The added bacon gave it a little saltiness as well. You can option either sandwiches or wraps. When I got the sandwiches, their bread is neatly pressed and soft with crisp ends, it was almost like a panini. With your order you get a small bag of chips of your choice of Fritos, Cheetos, etc. "Buchito's Iced Coffee" ($3.50). I wasn't feeling this iced coffee at all. I'm not sure its supposed to be Cuban iced coffee but, this was a sure pass. First off, I was asked if I wanted to add sugar in it, normally I don't go for it, but I did anyway. Once I took a sip, I could already taste the textures of sugar crystals in it, I guess the barista expect me to stir it myself? It had very little coffee in it, and it tasted mostly milk. Buchido does offer homemade desserts in their menu, so I had to try them as well, and the prices are inexpensive. "Tres Leches" ($3). This dessert was good. I like the milkiness within the crumbles of the butter cake. It was topped with lots of whipped cream, I wish they put less of it though. "Chocolate Chip Cookie" ($2.15). For being a large cookie, it caught my attention. It has lots of dough and chunky chocolate chips. If you're in the mood to snack this alone is worthy. Overall, Buchito is okay. I did find some of their stuff pretty decent, and if simple meals is what you're looking for, you'll get that here. This place is small, there isn't a lot of seating inside but, its clean and comfy to have a nice quick breakfast or brunch. read more

So I've visited this restaurant yesterday after still exploring that downtown Kissimmee area because I'm so fairly new to it. So I landed at this Cuban restaurant called Buchito and I decided to play it extremely safe just like my last restaurant. I decided to go with the day special of chicken soup and half a sandwich. The chicken soup was awesome it was filled with carrots, meat and flavor. What was more comical to me, Was the fact that the soup hard alphabets in it. Like a three-year-old soup. But I had no issues With this because the soup was so tasteful. However I decided to go with the barbecue sandwich and I definitely didn't like it. What I would do next time choose a different sandwich. Mine was good and tasty but just not to my liking I guess. So yeah I would recommend anyone to check out this restaurant. You wouldn't believe the amount of hidden little gems in this area! Buchito is so cute with really nice staff ... super small but gives you the home vibes. Inside and outdoor seating great for families as well. You order your food at the register and then they bring it out to you ... we had an Americano, cappuccino, and breakfast burrito for less than $12! The breakfast burrito had eggs, cheese, and ham it was pressed to perfection with a little spicy sauce that gave it the perfect kick.
