Fresh creme is being piped into my cannoli
    Laura L.

Lunch sandwich especially the roast beef panini was on the mark with flavors (basil pesto, mozzarella, cucumber, red onion, tomato on focaccia bread) Also, you cannot walk away without dessert. My choices were cannoli, pistachios ricotta pie and a couple of cupcakes for the weekend. Well worth a visit to enjoy fresh baked deliciousness.

Great service! Highly recommend the bagel special #1, wonderful pastries! We tried the pumpkin whoopie pie, the blueberry muffin and the blueberry scone.

All the road work going on MA 28 was also incentive, as we could get there without traveling on it from where we were staying. We were also told several times to get their grilled breads (if you weren't gluten-free, of course). The complimentary coffee in the waiting area was a nice tough as well. It certainly lived up to the recommendations. We had maybe a 3 minute wait for a table on a busy Friday morning. There were lots of specials on the blackboards on the side wall. Coffee came out quickly; it was piping hot and mellow, with very frequent refills. I did try the bread, an apple-cranberry, grilled/toasted medium with a pat of butter for extra yum. I opted for the hash Benedict with fruit instead of potatoes. I got potatoes by mistake anyway, but they immediately brought over the fruit. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the Hollandaise was flavorful, and the hash was crisp and not greasy at all. Now it's my turn to be a good friend and pass the recommendations forward for others.

Marie & Tia steered us towards the homemade breads including a pear raspberry slightly grilled bread that was the perfect combination of fruit flavor to fresh bread. I had a half order of cornbread-bacon Benedict. Sooo good. Cornbread so moist and with the bacon and hollandaise was delicious. We also had what my wife deemed "the best corned beef hash and cheese omelette she's had". Perfect ratio and cook that were tasty & top notch. Really love this place, wish we lived closer! Thank you team for a delightful visit!

Then when you add the fact that this family-owned restaurant has clearly prioritized quality food and service, The Ocean House is must go if you're on the Cape. I was lucky enough to come just at the beginning of the season. Lucky for 2 reasons. Firstly, I was able to get a reservation (I heard it is near impossible once season hits). Secondly, we got a 3 @ 66 deal for an app, a main, and a dessert. So we obviously made it a 6 @ 122 to try everything we possibly could. Apparently that deal is only at the beginning and end of season. The Ocean House has a unique Asian-inspired twist to make each dish unique and intriguing. This goes for both food and drinks. For example, I got a dirty martini with MSG?!? Never heard of that, but it worked. Food was all fresh (especially the fish) and delicious. My favorite was their Chilean Sea Bass. That's a must get. Do yourself a favor and make a resi far in advance and take in everything you can! It may be a little pricy and a little fancy - but definitely worth everything.

From Dennis we could see all the way to Monomoy Island, which made the whole evening feel special. Olivia, our server, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. She even brought Keith a complimentary birthday toast, which was such a lovely touch. We started with the Crispy Point Judith Calamari, perfectly fried with bright pickled peppers and a great lemon aioli. So tasty. My husband had the Pan-Seared Cod Loin with Thai khao soi and soba noodles--he absolutely loved it. I ordered the Maine Lobster Ravioli with butternut squash purée and tarragon Newburg sauce, and it was rich, balanced, and delicious. A gorgeous setting, memorable dishes, and genuinely kind service. We'll definitely be back.

My friend and I were there for drinks, but she ended up getting clam chowder before the kitchen closed for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it came out barely lukewarm. I assume they don't make the soup from scratch each bowl, so they really only needed to warm it up to the right temperature. The women's restroom only had 2 stalls and 2 sinks. One stall had no toilet paper and one sink had no soap. I get that the soap dispenser might be broken, but there's no reason to have no toilet paper when there were exactly 4 people standing around talking at the host stand... The table service from Karlo was attentive and polite. I went back with 3 others on Sunday as we had a brunch reservation for 10 AM. This was nothing short of a disaster. We got there on time and put in our orders quickly. The food (mostly consisting of various kinds of eggs, toast, avocados, and yogurt) took nearly an hour to come out. We asked twice and were told that the kitchen was backed up. They should have staggered reservations and seating if they couldn't accommodate a full restaurant near the time of opening. The rest of my day was rushed because I had to wait an hour for scrambled eggs and an english muffin. While the service was friendly, they even charged us for an iced tea refill and took the coffee cups away instead of offering more. If you're making us wait an hour for breakfast, maybe do a solid and offer a free refill of the non-alcoholic beverages. [Or even the alcoholic ones!] All in all, the service is decent and the view is great. The food and the wait leaves much to be desired. If I come back, it'll be drinks-only.

My favorite style of homemade hash is just corned beef, potato and onions -- theirs has peppers but is pretty good, can see why folks say it's one of the best hashes on the Cape. I ordered mine in an Irish benny and it was stupendous. Our family went back twice in one week for the homemade cinnamon swirl loaf French toast and the fresh cranberry pancakes -- both exceeded our high hopes and expectations and were truly sublime. We went with a short stack but still had ample leftovers, which held up perfectly as snacks the next couple of days. I ordered with real maple syrup and butter on side as well, usually comes topped with butter otherwise. The strawberries and blueberries that came with both were perfectly ripe summer's finest, was pleasantly surprised (ok, shocked) by how dang good they were given a fruit cup is usually an afterthought at other spots. The only potential drawback was their avocado toast since the toast and poached egg came cold. It was peak summer lunch rush and we ordered a ton, with everything else being perfect, so understandable that things happen and we didn't say anything to server about.
