Worse experience ever buying jeans. Sales personal were very pushy. They had to shorten the jeans and the first attempt, they were still too long and the quality of the alteration was horrible. You can't reuse the original seam if you are shorting a flared bottom jean by 2 inches. We asked for them to redo the alteration and shorten another half inch as they were dragging on the floor. It took another two weeks before they finished the second alteration. We went to pick up the jeans and the alteration was still horrible. All they would say to us was they are not returnable once an alteration is done. Well they royally screwed up and feel like we wasted a chunk of money on a pair of jeans that are not wearable. They look horrible. So, I would not recommend Buckle based on my shopping experience. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a pair of shoes from this store because they didn't have any in my size when I was in there. The lady at the (her name was Leah, she has purple hair) told me it would be 1-2 days and they would call me when the shoes are in. A week later I have a voicemail from Chance (the store manager) saying my shoes are in. Due to work I wasn't able to come in until today, about 2 weeks after the phone call and when I got into the store they couldn't find my shoes. They had 3 different people look for them, all the while taking over 30 minutes of my time, and they still couldn't find them. Finally Leah called someone and she was told the manufacture was unable to fulfill the order and my shoes never arrived! This blows my mind because the store manager called me about my shoes being in. But the worst part of this...after being told this and having to refund my money Leah didn't even offer an apology! Not one single ounce of sorrow or one word of regret. This was 100% their fault and they couldn't even give an apology. Extremely poor customer service and they will never get my business again. If I could give a no star review, I would. Having been to and purchased from this store often, the last couple times I haven't been able to buy anything. It's not because I have no money, but only because I haven't received any help. My most current experience today I stood at the watches case looking to buy one of the watches in the case. This is by the register of course where 3 employees found a chat more appealing. One of these was the manager of the store. This is the second time I tried for a watch here in a month. Also wanted to buy some new swim shorts for the season coming but nobody could be bothered to help as my wife and I stood staring for help. Some may say I could ask someone for help but in a commission environment I'm not going to self checkout for you. I had an issue with a pair shredding and they were out of the return/exchange policy (during Covid I might add) and was told by a store manager they were defective. Let me start by saying I have been a long time customer at Buckle and up until this incident have always loved their company. I placed an order online for 3 pairs of jeans totaling $280. Before I placed it, I logged into my account to make sure the address that was on there was correct because I'd moved about 6 months ago. It was still showing my old address, so I easily changed it. Logged out and back in to make absolutely sure it was changed and it was, so I went ahead and placed the order. The next week I receive an email that my package was delivered, but it was no where to be found. I waited a few days to see if it showed up and it never did. At this point I started checking into the tracking information to see where it was delivered to. Turns out they sent it to the old address. I contacted the leasing office for that apartment complex, assuming they would have the package and sent it back, but they said they never saw it. They contacted the resident in the apartment to which it was delivered, but they claim they never received it. Now I get ahold of Buckle. They tell me that they can see that my address on my account is my correct address, yet they can't explain why it was sent to my old address other than a glitch since that's where my previous orders had been shipped and that they "have no policy in place for orders not received"... I explained that the problem was on their end and I assumed that they would be apologetic and send out the items again asap... I couldn't have been more wrong. They weren't willing to do anything at all. They told me if it was stolen then I should file a police report. It wasn't stolen, they didn't ship it to the address on my account, yet they will not refund my money nor will they sent out my items to the correct address. I am so disappointed because I have never dealt with a company who was willing to take literally zero responsibility for their own mistake, at a customers expense. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that one would call me back the next day. 3 days later and I still heard nothing, so I call again and was told that someone would get to it when they get to it and I'm to "wait it out"... are you kidding me?? They made the mistake and yet I'm the one who's being put out. I can't believe what poor customer service they provide. That's absolutely pathetic. I left a message to the CEO at 7am and by 3:34pm the same day i received a message directly from his tablet: "Hi Lydia, I appreciate your email requesting PayPal for purchasing on our site. We have that on our list of updates to add to Buckle E-commerce site. I will ask our team to make it a priority. Thank you for your suggestion and we hope to earn an opportunity for your business. In the span of a month, the TeenagerFromMyLoins, cut his hair AND asked for a new wardrobe. mom's first thought?..this must be SOME girl you're into mister.. So we hit the Alderwood Mall. i am *not* a mall person, but when you must dress someone who's been in his obligatory "all black" stage for the past few years and really doesn't know *what* he wants, you need the maximum amount of options in the least amount of space. We started at one end and went to the other, checking out every store that had anything resembling clothing (and some clothing stores decidedly do NOT have things resembling clothing). Surviving brief encounters with Abercrombie and Hollister, we found our way here. Having recently seen the purchases of this store of a friend's, Buckle was on my mind as an option. We strolled through the store, and discussed the options available, of which there were quite a wide range of for a small store such as this. The sales people were all very friendly and weren't rabid for our attention. We ended up not purchasing anything at this store that night, but it's a definite return for a few pieces he really liked...and a few Christmas present ideas. read more

My daughter went to return a pair of boots we bought on line from buckle.with the receipt that came in the shipped box. Not realizing it had been previously returned and that the receipt they shipped with it was not my receipt. The accused her of stealing them from their idaho store and trying to return them at their store she tried to talk to them to work it out. But left with the boots when they didnt beleive her. Tried calling the store my self got handed off to 2 different people who said they were the manager. And still couldnt get it worked out. read more

Had a great experience in here the other day, I can in to look for a pair of jeans which as most know is like impossible to find pairs that fit exactly right. Danielle greeted us when we came in and helped us find the wall of jeans in the back, she picked out a few styles and asked some questions about what size I normally wear. She handed me these 33 by 30 jeans and I swear I've never had a pair of jeans fit so well in my entire life. Justin was also super helpful and Friendly showing me more styles in my size but I did end up going with one of the first pairs I was handed. Plus the dudes who help me out always recognize my brand of jean, without even checking the tag (yes, way!), and mention it by way of compliment ("dude, nice Buffalo's"). I shopped at The Buckle for the first time yesterday. I was extremely happy with the service that I received. The employee named Chance, who helped me pick out two pairs of jeans, was extremely helpful and willing to find different sizes and styles. He made the whole shopping experience a pleasure. I expected that their prices would be higher due to the level of service I received so I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out. Buckle is selling faulty jeans that shred in the rear next to the back pocket. After only wearing them a few times, I took them back for an exchange. The manager refused the exchange, and told me that fabric softener causes the pants to split. I don't use fabric softener. After reading the reviews, it is clear the company has a serious problem with their jeans and customer service. read more

I made an online purchase. I was sent an order that was not that right size. I called they send out a new order and I am to send back the wrong order. That sounds great until They double charge me and tell me that there are 2 orders!! No, there is 1. Then they tell me one is a soft charge and one is a hard charge. Well I have $600 missing from my account and I only have 3 jeans! And it has been a couple of weeks now that my order was placed NOT HAPPY between sending back and receiving I'm not sure if they know what they are doing. ?? read more

Brand spanking new jeans split out in an area where they cannot be restitched. So, for the last few months (and most of you know this from a prior convo thread I had on here) I have been on the mad search mission for the perfect jean. I've tried everything. God forbid a company should design a jean that actually fits the AVERAGE woman. We are not ALL 5'10" and 110lbs w/ a perfect ass! FINALLY...I go to Alderwood mall and decide to just say screw it and spend a bit more money...i go to Buckle. Now, i know they are a bit pricier than most but for that perfect Jean, its so worth it. And actually, I found a PERFECT fit for me and they were only $76. Not too shabby! Aside from the perfect jean that I am now in love w/ (wore them out of the store..so highschool..hahaha) I am now in love w/ that store for the service they give you. Everyone that has read my reviews knows how anal and picky I am about customer service. I demand quality! So I go in and the minute I got confused on their sizing, a guy came right up to me and started quizzing me on what I wanted. I gave him my preferences and my size options and he ran back and came out w/ about 11 pairs of jeans for me to try. I wanted them all but of course am not rich so I picked the best pair and purchased those!! He was all over the store for me. Grabbing me this and that, offering me water (I was there for over an hour!) telling me what he recommends for girls w/ my short athletic build and perfecto!! Johnny Buckle guy got me the best pair of jeans and was so helpful that I truly believe w/o his knowledge, I'd still be looking! I recommend that if jeans are as hard for you to find as they are for me, that you just spend the little extra money and try Buckle. They have something for everyone and if it doesn't quite fit just perfect, they offer FREE alterations. Unlike Nordstrom Rack who wanted to charge me $30 to alter a pair of jeans that were $40. Hahaha..RIGHT...if you pay that, you're a sucker! Try Buckle tho, really. You can even go online and personalize a pair and they'll ship it to you. Buckle is an incredible store!!! I remember back in the day I would always walk by this place thinking I would never wear clothes from here cause they are expensive. I got really tired of trying on pants in different department stores and finding out that none fit my longer legs and big thighs. So after a while I said what the hell I might as well give Buckle a shot. Let me tell you how amazing that experience was. As soon as I walked into the store I was greeted by this very friendly girl who went above and beyond to help me out. All I had to do was tell her what size waist I was and what length inseam I was looking for. So she found a couple of pairs and found me an open changing room. While I was trying on the pants she went off and found more pairs that she thought I would like and found some shirts as well and placed them over the door. I have never been to a store that helped you out so much. It's a great feeling. So after I tried on a bunch of clothes I walked out there spending a couple hundred dollars mainly because of her help and the fact that the pants fit so well. I wish I could remember her name to give her high praise and to let others know who to ask for when they go. That same girl that helped me out the first time has helped my wife and I a couple times. She remembers us each time we go in and asks us how our daughter is doing. That experience was about five years ago and I have been a fan and loyal customer ever since. Buckle is the only place I will buy jeans now. Every time I go in I always get the same amazing help from the awesome people working there. The staff are really what make this place... kind of ironic how it's right across from Abercrombie because it's like saying "Hate Abercrombie? Service here is hit or miss. Sometimes you get someone that greets you as soon as you walk in the door, sometimes you walk around for half an hour and everyone working there ignores you. I usually only shop Buckle for jeans and yesterday was interesting to say the least. I tried on maybe 30 pairs of jeans before I found one I liked. The thing is there is no consitency with sizes. I can vary between a 28-32 here which is like an 8-12? They all fit differently. I found a pair of rock revival jeans that were a pretty penny at a staggering 159$ before tax. I was gonna get them but they were just a little too big. After about 45 mins of no help the store manager finally greeted us. He didnt even listen to what I had to say when it came to finding jeans. He brought me a ton of pairs I hated to say the least. They couldnt fit me right. He brought shirts over that were all wayyy too small. The one pair I actually loved were out of stock in my size but he had me try on same brand but similar not the same of the rock revivals... they were too small. He said its a different cut and insited I order the ones online and ship them in. I didnt want to do that. I ended up with a t shirt and a pair of jeans that were 60$ that I liked a lot but didnt love. I needed new pants though honestly. The fitting room was tiny as well so no luck. I hate shopping for clothes honestly. I found 2 maybes and one yes out of about 30 pairs and they didnt have the one I needed. I am not a huge person but I am not a stick either. It sucks however to be given clothes that are too small and also some see through shirts. :( I may try other jeans stores in the future honestly. I was ignored by everyone except the store manager who probably thought I was going to steal. This is my 5th buckle Ive been to and one of the worst. I didnt like his attitude. Somewhat friendly half the time but other times edgy and offputting. Only reason for 3 stars is cause I loved the shirt I got. Horrible experience. My boyfriend bought a pair of shoes here, but they didn't have his size, so the shoes were to be ordered and shipped to the store. My boyfriend was told by Leah that the shoes would be in within the next few days, the shoes were order August 23 and on August 30th (more than a few days later) Chance, the manager from this specific store, called and left a voicemail for my boyfriend telling him that the shoes were in. Now, my boyfriend travels quite a bit for work and was unable to get in right away to pick up the shoes. However, we went in today to retrieve the purchase and spent 30 mins in the store while the ladies were looking for the order. After three separate women searched for the order we were told they they never arrived in the store because they were unable to fill the order. Wth. How do you call someone to tell them their order was waiting for pick up but supposedly said order never arrived in the store? Leah blamed the shipping person for not relaying the message and said that the person who called and left the message should have told my boyfriend the shoes never arrived, she wasn't hesitant to throw her boss under the bus at all, but she was hesitant and didn't even offer an apology. This was by far one of the worst customer service experience we have had. The fact Leah didn't even bother to apologize and didn't seem to care about the service mishap is unacceptable. While Leah may not be responsible for the issue at hand, she handled the return and should have been extremely apologetic. Having two teenagers, who do enjoy shopping at Buckle, neither one of us will be stepping foot in this store again. Buckle, get your crap together. read more

I'm not sure how anyone can leave a bad review for this store. If you aren't happy with the prices, go somewhere else! I just have to say this store has the most helpful and friendly employees ever. Their customer service is absolutely incredible and I have never walked in and not had someone offer to help me quickly and with a smile on their face. Will continue to shop at this Buckle because of the amazing customer service - from shopping, to returns and exchanges, and even fixing mistakes they made quickly (and apologizing!). This is one of my favorite stores at the mall My experience: i walked right in and a salesperson asked if he could help me. I told him the color and size of skinny jeans I wanted and he quickly brought it to me. He brought it to me and found the only pair of my hard to find size. He also brought me a t-shirt to try on and it fit perfectly. I didn't Buy it because it was $33.50. I put the jeans on hold because i hesitated about buying them because they were $70. I spent a few hours looking at other stores for cheaper jeans, but came back here and ended up buying them because they fit me the best. If money is not an issue (unlike me) this is a must go to place for buying clothes, especially if you are in a hurry. Awful customer service. I bought a free people shirt, didn't fit correctly. A week later I brought it back still with the original tags attached and the paper receipt, they said they will refund my card and that was that. About two weeks go by, I keep looking thru my bank statement and there has been no refund to my card. So I call buckle and ask why it hadn't been refunded. The manager told me he would need to see a receipt in order to refund me and asked me to drive to the mall to bring it in store. So I drive once again, 30 minutes to the mall just for him to tell me he will call me once he has time to figure it out. 30 minutes drive home once again. He just called me to inform me they did mess up and never refunded me so they need me to drive back to the mall THE THIRD TIME to be refunded. Absolutely ridiculous, not even an apology. I work in customer service and I understand people make mistakes and I have dealt with difficult customers but I have never treated a customer so poorly nor have I experienced it. read more

There was a mistake made by Buckle in Mesquite TX when they ordered a pair of jeans on sale for me. I never received a call nor email and they're saying that I canceled the order. Well later comes out that they canceled it because the item was no longer found at the corporate office. They will not honor the price nor they'll give me my money back how I paid. They want to give me store credit. I've tried customer service at corporate level and no one has called me back. Very disappointed at this company! read more

I was really surprised to read the reviews of this store. I've been in here many times over the years and I still have yet to be offered help. The last time I was in here over the weekend, I was interested in trying on some jeans. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of slim boot or straight leg jeans. I had heard good things about Buckle jeans and decided that I would give them another shot even though I hadn't had luck in the past with the service. I stood looking at every section of the denim wall for about 30 minutes and not a single person offered to help me find what I was looking for. In fact, more than one employee moved around me to help other people. I understand if you're busy helping other customers but the least you could do is say "Hi, I'll be right with you" or "Let me find someone who can help you." I know I don't dress like their typical customer but I'm still just that- a customer. Every time I've gone into this store, I have been ignored. I don't know about anybody else, but I don't much care for that. The staff is always really helpful to my boyfriend when he shops here and I am with him. But I guess I don't fit the bill for a female customer of theirs. I was really disappointed this last visit considering I was willing to spend a good amount of money. But since I couldn't find what I wanted and I couldn't find anyone willing to help I left empty handed. read more

I don't buy expensive clothing and Buckle is known for their expensive jeans and shirts. The only reason I even stepped foot in the door was because my boyfriend shops there. I was VERY skeptical about the store and the brand. I have to say my opinion has been seriously changed. Having previously worked in retail for many years customer service is a HUGE deal to me. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and not just one or the other of us they greeted both of us and were very friendly. The girl who helped us was awesome. My boyfriend didn't know what kind of jeans he wanted just sort of an idea and she brought him a ton of different options while matching shirts with the jeans also. He ended up buying a pair and she even wrote down what kind they were so he didn't have to search next time. I was so impressed with the store and staff. My boyfriend and I went in again a few weeks later and again we were both greeted at the door by a very friendly guy. The girl who helped us last time totally remembered us and although she was helping someone else made a point to say hi and see how we were doing. While my boyfriend was looking, I was checking out the women's clothing and one of the girls and I got into a conversation. She was so friendly and talkative it was a very relaxing and nice experience. At one point we had two people helping us and both were very eager to please. I will be a life long customer because of this stores staff. Yes the clothes are expensive but the experience is so worth it. read more

NOT JUST FOR TEENS AND 20 SOMETHINGS I'm a 44 year old mother of 2. My youngest is 8 months old. I've had a big body shape change since my last baby - no, not weight gain, but weight loss. None of my old clothes fit, and my husband finally said "Enough!" I had not been to Buckle for many years having convinced myself that once I reached my 40's I was too old to continue shopping there. I spent the better part of a week trying on jeans at reputable places for women my age. Everything just looked awful. My most favorite ever pair of jeans was a pair of Silvers Jeans I bought at Buckle probably close to 10 years ago. I decided to go back to Buckle. Well, I can't say enough good things about Buckle. The range is extensive, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices are great. A young female staff member approached me, and we got down to business. She wanted to know my size, preferred styles, colors, etc. She also asked what I wanted the jeans for (everyday, special occasion, etc.), and what types of shoes I would typically wear with them. Somehow, from the vast collection of jeans, she managed to pull at least 10 pair that fit my criteria. When she went on lunch break, I opened the dressing room door to find another female staff member, fully versed in my desires and preferences, standing waiting to help. Between the two of them they convinced me I was looking for the wrong size, and got me into some fabulous jeans. I purchased a $70 pair of jeans that have a high potential to become my most favorite jeans ever. I also splurged on a $106 pair (that's a lot of money for me) that they had to order in my size, and can't wait for them to arrive. Never once did they make me feel like an old lady who shouldn't be shopping there. And never once did I feel like I was dealing with some dumb young thing who didn't know what they were talking about. I want to stress that I really dislike shopping in general and I especially don't like malls and avoid them at all costs. Naturally the wardrobe will occassionally need a pick me up. In which case I have a mission and focus on that one item and search. My first experience at the Buckle was in Bellevue. I walked in and was greeted respectfully. None of that fake smiles "welcome to Blank' and resume your conversation with your co-worker crap. (I came to the mall sorely to visit a friend and had no intentions of buying anything.) The Gal working with me asked all sorts of questions on my likes and dislikes so that she could show me what they had and didn't waste my time with what I didn't like. She knew their products and where to find them. She frequently checked on me while I was in the fitting room and kept the goods coming and going. It was like I had my own personal shopper. I ended up walking out with two pairs of $80 jeans (costly for my taste but I do love them). And being but 5'1"....they offer Free Alterations!!!! What? I don't have to hem my own pants? Someone else will do it for me and for free?? I went to the Alderwood store and the customer service was just as good as Bellevue. Everyone was genuinely nice and friendly. My husband even commented that some of the sales associates looked like models but without the attitude. I may be old fashion at times but Great Customer service is something that shouldn't go out with the hottest trends.(regardless of earning commision or not) Their Shirts and such are a little too wild for me but they look 'cool.'
