I'd toured other schools where the teachers in the room my twins would be in didn't even speak or a knowledge me(red flag). They had beautiful music playing (it was nearing nap time) and it smelled so clean. It was so bright and had such great energy throughout the building. I was pleased to see weekly charts in lesson plans and active. I'm just all around excited that I FINALLY found the school/daycare for my children that I can breath a little more easy about. I tried to keep my mommy face on during the tour but I was cheesing on the inside. I'll update my review once my children have been there for awhile Update: I still Iove this school . My kids can count in Spanish (they're 2). The only issues that I've had is them switching teachers and not informing me. This is one of my first experiences using a daycare facility because we often use family. I had to use this daycare facility out of necessity for my child. My child is pre-k age and is/was potty training and the facility did not properly assist my child in keeping themselves clean or on track with potty training. My child came home with poop streaks, and poor bathroom hygiene from not wiping properly almost daily. My child came home with no pants, no shoes (they lost them and could not find them until the next day), covered in pen ink and marker, a Missing backpack (they lost it and could not find it until the next day) on several occasions. It became increasingly apparent that the facility was not able to take care of children correctly. My child never came home with any notes or work that they had done, so I am only left to assume that no activities or curriculum was used at the facility for the pre-K age students. There was little to no communication with me regarding what was going on at the facility and when I was called it was only to tell me that there was an issue. My child was in this facility for only a few months and WE ARE NOT GOING BACK. The last straw for me was when my child was INJURED by a daycare worker causing the need for an EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT. To be clear this INJURY was caused by the caregiver based on the information I received from the doctor. This may not be everyone's experience, but it was mine and if I was a parent seeking a new daycare I would want to know what is going on at the facility. Please know that I do not normally write reviews of this nature, but felt like others needed to know our experience at this facility in order for them to make the best decisions for their own children and families. Please stay safe and my recommendation is to seek daycare anywhere, but at this facility. I hope the facility improves and works on training for the caregivers in the facility, but they have a long way to go as far as I am concerned.

Not sure…read morewhat is expected from a parent when leaving their children at a facility but I expect my child to be fed safe and learning. They accomplish all 3. They are down to earth and they are not beating kids. There are some old schoolers and they will be like a grandmother (family) figure to your kid if you approve for further action outside of what the facility approves, hence why someone may have thought the kids have been "beaten" - without approval. It takes a village and they do not physically harm any child. They are teaching 1st grade level to preschool aged kids. They are required to submit projects and they have an awesome summer program where your child will learn how to swim under plenty of supervision inside an indoor pool. You automatically get access to the workout equipment as your child's tuition includes a membership to any YMCA location. Overall I get compliments on how smart my child is and I do credit YMCA for always focusing on early developmental learning. I have met parents from all over DFW that do not live close that continue to bring their kids. They have a wonderful secure playground. Better than any other head-start school hands down.

Kat and her staff are absolutely wonderful and very attentive! I have never had a hard drop off, all the teachers are cheerful and greet my little one with enthusiasm and excitement. Since starting at this school my daughter has learned so many wonderful lessons such as kindness, how to be helpful and a better listener at home! The teachers also teach from an actual curriculum so I feel confident that my child will be prepared for Kindergarten next fall!! My child also has actual homework to complete over the weekend to reinforce what was taught during the week and so that's an exciting thing for her and I! Upon entering, The school is clean well maintained and doesn't smell like a dumpster full of dirty diapers in July. This is extremely important to me as the last place my daughter was at wasn't very good at keeping a clean environment. The teacher to child ratio is fair and balanced and teachers aren't being overwhelmed and overrun by the children. Overall, this is a very engaging environment for children to develop their young minds and I couldn't be more pleased with this school. If you are new to the area and looking for a great place to put your child where they can learn and grow, please consider this school. Okay, we're obsessed with this place. My son is in "school" here, he's 11 months. He has been here…read moresince he was 8 weeks. The teachers are the sweetest. I stalk him all the time on the little parent stalker cameras, and they're always playing with him, feeding him, or doing a cute activity. In the summer, they have splash day once a week where they fill little kiddy pools up with about an inch of water and let them splash around. It's adorable. Added bonus- this school provides formula and food for the kids! I wasn't initially looking for a school that offered that, but wow, it sure is an added bonus. I get weekly emails of photos of my son and a little tid bit of what they worked on for the week, it couldn't be any cuter- letters, animals, numbers, colors, friendship, you name it, they work on it. I feel like she's well-prepared to start Kinder in the fall. I'm also impressed with the advancements I've seen in my son as he's progressed through the toddler program into the 2s. All of the teachers make an effort to know every child's name and I think that makes them feel very special and included. I appreciate that they went through the process to become accredited and have a strong curriculum in place (while leaving plenty of room for the kids to still have fun). It's also nice that being in a federal building makes you feel like the kids are very safe. There are numerous security measures in place to finally get through the center's door, but nothing that would scare the kids. All of the building's security officers are so sweet with the kids!

Teachers should have nail clippers available at drop-off so parents can clip their children's nails. All in all, whenever I had a critique or comment for staff, it was always heard and respected.
