    Great little concession-like business!

Great little concession-like business! It's like a race track trailer grille relocated into the city! Lots of options though we only tried the shakes on this day. We will be back and I will write a more complete review when we've tried the food!

Delicious! Great roadside stop. Cheeseburger and FF were delicious highly recommend. We had the ice cream as well great portions!

The food is so good the seasoning is perfect and the chili is fantastic. The workers are so nice and loud so you can hear everything they say. I would recommend to come on a not hot but not cold day. It is next to the road but thats fine.

pretty sure that Buckos still has the best moose in town and the thatched roof over the patio tables is pretty swell too even if it doesn't block out all the noise from the truck and car stereo-types. The drive-up has a smaller version of the specials board with prices on it same as up front so you won't miss anything... kinda wish that you'd talk to the moose to place your order and at the same time kinda glad you don't. I took a pass on any form of hot doggery this time and got me a Bucko burger instead; combo adds fries and a beverage for a modest fee. Got my burger most of the way (no chili) because I prefer good to silly and I get to taste the other stuff on there: tomatoe, onion, pickles, slaw... the bun is pretty generic but keeps your fingers out of the messier bits of your food so that's a win. Said messier bits are of good quality, are assembled well, and keep their form throughout so I can't think of a good reason to add chili. Hot, crispy, seasoned fries are the perfect accompaniment and quite good even as they approach room temperature, never even felt the need to ketchup them. Not a meal for the ages but a meal for me none the less: rounding up for value, service, and the moose.

This spot is one of 4 remaining locations of a chain begun in 1956 in the Concord area. The number of locations maybe reached 14 or so, rising and falling as spots came and went. There are 2 locations in Concord and 1 in Kannapolis, in addition to this one. This one Is newer and in a little better shape, the other three are worn to the point of shabby. This is as old school drive in as you will find, with curb service, with ordering boxes that you can barely talk thru. The menu has some variety, but this place is about burgers, dogs, fries, Cherry-Lemon Sundrop, or Witch Doctor drink. This place, from reviews, is as inconsistent as the other three - and I've eaten at the other three. We got the What-A-Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pickles, a Footlong with mustard, chili, and onions, along with FF, a Witch Doctor, and Sundrop. The burger and hot dog were solid, but not spectacular, and the FF were simply awful, cold with no flavor. And yet I enjoyed this experience, the nostalgia raises up the food and the moment. It's akin to having a hot dog at Yum Yum's or Pulliam's, or a burger at The Castle or Beef Burger, or a BBQ sandwich at Stamey's!

Most everyone was pleasant, except for one extremely grumpy cashier (but he must have just had a bad day). The food was great. We all had the Value Baskets. The fries were fantastic, hot and super crispy. Both the Buffalo and the Original chicken tenders were tasty and crispy, but the Buffalo just had a faint spice to it, not really Buffalo-ey at all. I had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and yes, that was wonderfully spicy. I was so happy with that. My son and I swapped bites so I tried his ButterBurger with Cheese. So tender and tasty. Definitely going to order that next time. We forgot about the concretes and cheese curds, adding that to our "want to try list." Both kids had milkshakes to drink, which they loved. My son got me a chocolate soft serve waffle cone. It was HUGE! The ice cream and cone were great and such a treat. My husband is so jealous he missed out so we are going to try and come back soon.

This doesn't make sense; Doordash charges a maximum of 6% for pickup orders, and we ordered for pickup. I initially questioned their pricing because they charge almost $6 on Doordash for a 3.5oz cup of guacamole, and iirc around $4.30 after tax in restaurant. It was over a dollar upcharge. When questioned he said that it was because of the pricing of the 'best,' avocados (I work at a grocery store; our current cost for one avocado is $0.60, so I find that incredibly unlikely). The man was stammering at the end of the interaction, which further solidified for me that he was being dishonest. All that to say, you shouldn't support a business who is dishonest about the way they conduct their business, especially when they do so in an economy where people are struggling generally; my recommendation is to give your money to a place that doesn't lie to their customers.
