Moyer's is a family owned place tucked into the Langtree complex and every time I go I wonder why I don't come more often. The why is pretty simple. Good food fast and super-friendly folks serving it. I like that they don't try to do too much with the menu. It's compact with things they just do well with some unique twists like a German pancake. We first had ice cream and really enjoyed the selection of flavors. There were 3 vegan flavors (I have a dairy allergy) so I got the berry. My husband had heath bar and caramel crunch. Both were huge portions and really good. The next day we ate dinner here and had fish and chips. It's 2 batter fried filets, fries or onion rings, slaw and tartar sauce. Loved the onions rings but husband isnt much of a fries fan so he should've ordered the onion rings. His fries were hot and crispy and tasted like it was just cooked. The fish batter was slightly over fried (a tad too dark on the outside) but still good on the inside. Everything tasted like it was cooked fresh. The dining area inside is a bit loud and small so we ate at the tables outside. Someone brings the food out to you so you don't have to wait. Been three of four times now. At least one was sit down and the other;s were pick up due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. So far, I think I have had a cheeseburger, a ham and cheese and last Friday's was Buffalo Shrimp with Fries and Cole Slaw. All have been very tasty and service has generally been very good except for last Friday. Called in my order and got there at the appointed time and it was ready but they were in a rush with a group of large orders and it just set there for at least 5 minutes while I was waiting the same. i went there for the first time last week because they claim the best cheesesteak in North Carolina. I don't think they have ever had a cheesesteak the cheese was not melted and it was frozen meat out of a box. I lived in Philadelphia and i know cheesesteaks. the owners are more interested in talking to there friends at the restaurant. server was good. its very small place but looked clean. we also had a patty melt that made my girlfriend have stomach problems. we will not go back. They even make great French fries....best I have had in a long time. Only one problem. We sat outside, on a beautiful day, in the 70s last week and then waited an hour for our food to be delivered.
