We have driven by this spot so many times forgetting to give them a try. We put our order in by phone and it was ready in 20 minutes. The staff were so friendly on the phone and in person! We ordered their mushroom cheesesteak, cauliflower soup, crab bisque, sweet potato fries, and gravy fries. The cheesesteak was the star of the meal. Everyone wanted to steal a bite. I absolutely LOVE the Bucktown Grille!!! I've lived in this area forever but only recently discovered this gem. My first venture there, I got a cheeseburger and fries. Big, juicy burger on a fresh kaiser roll. Handcut fries. Delicious! Then I discovered that they have Taco Thursday. Oh my. The combinations are amazing and served on fresh soft tortillas. They come in pairs. My favorites are the cheesesteak tacos and the chicken, bacon, ranch. And then I discovered the onion rings....best I've ever had. Now for two weeks in a row Bucktown has accepted the order, a driver arrived to pick it up, and the order cancelled. Maybe they only take orders on site now, but ordering for delivery is a no-go until they fix this. A restaurant on wheels located just outside OJR High School on Rt. 100. A friend just recommended this place for cheesesteaks, so I drove there today to order a buffalo chicken cheesesteak to go. Only option here. Small sign out on the edge of Rte. 100 and fairly easy to spot even if driving the recommended speed limit. They were just finishing up the sandwich when I walked up to pay. $7.25 plus tax for a monster of a sandwich. Super fresh and piping hot after the 10 minute drive back home. Just enough heat to fit the name and loaded with cheese. Some bleu cheese too, so a nice touch as the description was a bit vague on the menu and I ordered as is to see what I would get. Looking forward to trying other items, as they have soups, wraps, salads, cold and hot sandwiches, plus Nelson's Ice Cream as the weather gets warmer. I literally stopped here in the middle of a snowstorm. I had been meaning to stop for ages. They were very friendly and accommodating. I stopped when I saw the special that day was a caramel apple grilled cheese - which was awesome. Ordered the French dip for my husband and the chicken finger meal for my son. All of the food was excellent. Their menu is much more extensive then I realized, with daily specials, a kid's menu and breakfast sandwiches served all day. So glad I finally stopped. We have eaten here, over the years, many times. For a while, we ate here once a month and would slow down over the summer months. In the past year and a half, we haven't been in the area due staying at a relative with health issues. However, we went back to have some of the food we missed. A month ago, we went there and I got a Stromboli, Italian, with sauce inside. The wife got a steak sandwich and gravy fries. The Stromboli was mediocre compared to what I had gotten so many times in the past so I attributed it to the young person that made it being in the learning phase, afterall, practice makes perfect. The steak was as usual but the gravy fries left a lot to be desired. We decided to go back and order again. This time, I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak with Blue Cheese. The Chicken texture was as if it were run through a grinder. Okay but not what I envisioned, almost as if it were pre-chewed. The wife wanted grilled a Chicken sandwich but wanted it on a hamburger roll instead of a Kaiser due to the fact of too much bread. The girl offered to make the sandwich as a wrap, great. Also ordered a side of cheese fries. We ordered by phone and was told 20 minutes. Arrived in only 15, went to window and paid as was told that the chicken was still not done. This would mean that the sandwich and the fries were done. We waited in our car, watched two more patrons come and one of those was served prior to us. He left with a bag of food. Hmmm....chicken must take longer than what he ordered. 50 minutes from the time of placing our order, the girl carried it out to us. The bag felt hot, okay. As we were going down the road, my wife opened the fries, what a disappointment. Even though the metal pan was hot to the touch, the fries inside were warm. The cheese appeared to be mostly clear and created a gelatinous mess at best into what was a uniform pile. The fries were soggy but yet appeared to be over cooked. The previous order I mentioned about gravy fries, the fries were the same consistency. I believe the order was sitting on top of the pizza oven and was forgotten. I can see why, with the cashier worried over her phone about someone being pregnant to the girl writing down the orders, with the blue/green nails, throwing pens and order books down in disgust. I am not going on with this. I can understand the use of teenagers, I have had several orders over the years screwed up here but now the food is taking a hit. They appear to need to learn how to make french fries. They either appear to be kept in water until frying which means they are being put into the hot grease with too much water thus reducing the temperature of the oil or they are using the wrong type of potato for making fries. I needed to pick up some dinner on the way home the other night. I was traveling from Emmaus to Kimberton via 100. On the way north I'd seen the Bucktown Grille but I really wanted barbeque. The BBQ place I saw just south of Diane's Pet Shop on the way North was closed. It was only 6:45 pm. Sadly I kept going on towards home. Happy was I to see the lovely sight of the Bucktown Grille and that it was OPEN. It was a first for me. I bought 3 cheesesteaks, 2 large and one small. Two were with no rolls because 2 of us are gluten free and they had no problem accommodating us. VERY good sized portions. I also ordered cucumber salad and coleslaw. They sell each it by the pound, (the amount I asked for). Both salads were great. (I think they should just sell them by the container and put a price on each size. It was difficult to think how many pounds I wanted but if you show me a container problem solved. I would have bought 2 pounds. ) I also ordered a large cheese fries which fed the 3 of us no problem AND deliciously, too, I might add. :-) For dessert I asked for 3 different scoops of ice cream. Up to this point I felt the prices were fair but $3 FOR a scoop of ice cream seemed high. They do sell yummy Nelson's and have a great selection of flavors. My bill was $53ish. The service wasn't too bad until it was time to scoop the ice cream. That took FOREVER. I would definitely return in the future but I would call my order in ahead. You might want to, too. It's a great little gem. They take debit and credit and of course cash. read more

The grill made our family 4 hoagies for the Metallica concert in Phil on Friday night.. Their attention to customers satisfaction is out standing. They took the time to wrap the onion and tomato separate. This ensured that the hoagies that were picked up late on Tuesday were fresh and not soggy for Friday concert. This mom is so thankful for the attention to detail. The roast beef cheddar horseradish hoagie was amazing. All I had to do was tell them the hoagies were for a rock concert the next day and the staff too care of us. They also took care of my parents food on Friday night. Mom loves their fresh salads. The California cheeseburger is amazing. Cooked perfectly, big thick burger. Fantastic. However, their customer service is really lacking. Every time I have ordered from there, they have messed something up in my order. This past time, I had to call back to give them my credit card info three times, and they were 20 minutes late delivering our lunch. We only had 30 minutes to eat, so that really only left us about 5 minutes to eat our lunches (even though we ordered our food two hours before we needed it delivered). They forgot a sandwich and messed one up completely. They also didn't give us any napkins or plates, even though we ordered a large stromboli for multiple people. If they can get their customer service together, I will consider going back. read more
