Oh boy, these reviews mixed with this is astounding. I would like to acknowledge that I've never been here for maintenance, and won't. The sign on the front of their building has the word Radiator misspelled. JS.

Would really prefer to give no stars. Came in early in the morning one person was before us. The guy said it would take two hours because it was a Groupon. Said we would be back in two hours. Came back after 2.5 hours and Randy at the front desk argued with us that he said it would be two hours however several people are in front of us. We went there specifically because the bays were empty and Jiffy Lube next-door was full! Told us we would have to wait 3 hours to get it started. Never heard of an oil change taking two hours. I Could do it myself and less time than that! Total waste of time! He even redeemed my voucher so I had to pay ahead of time for terrible customer service!

Not the greatest waiting area..and wifi worked almost 10 minutes..mentioned to reception person and he said huh

He is also a technician and may also possibly be the owner. That was the vibe I was receiving from our discussion. I explain what my visit was and he advised me there are different types of tune ups and what specifically I was looking to have done. I explained that I was able to obtain a quote from Honda service department and they also advised same thing. I listed the tune up details and what Honda quoted ($2,260). Oleks advised that inspection is free of charge. He would have Alex, technician do the inspection and provide his recommendation. Alex completed the inspection and advised what needed to be replaced and some replacement were not needed. He discovered there was an engine oil leak, transmission oil leak and the engine oil pan plug was stripped. Oleks had provided me with a quote range between $700-$1000. I returned back two days later on the evening of 1/14/26 to drop off vehicle which was parked safely inside the shop. The following day they replaced the engine gasket, replaced spark plugs, water pump, front crank seal, drive belt, oil pan plug and drive belt tensioner. I picked up my vehicle on 1/25/26. The sum of my bill came to $1021.80. I am truly satisfied and happy with the work that technician, Alex has completed. It was a reasonable timeframe and price. Honest work. I will use them again for any issues, repairs or maintenance.

For a dealer job with OEM parts, this costs around $4500 for the front pair. After doing tons of research, I decided to utilize a quality aftermarket kit. However, when I talked to the dealer, they tried to steer me away from this, and while they said they could do it with aftermarket parts, they seemed very unsure and cited issues with prior customers going this route. Another local shop told me they wouldn't be comfortable replacing just the rotors (they wanted me to bring a factory rotor/hat assembly which is honestly unnecessary if old hats are in good shape). I did not feel very confident with both shops. I reached out to Matsenko on yelp by chance and their tech, William, responded within a couple of hours and knew exactly what I was trying to do. I was honestly surprised at how knowledgeable he was with my specific brake job and decided to give them a shot. They got me in quick, and everything was done by end of next day. The brake job is excellent, there is no noise or judder, and braking action is very smooth. In addition, they did an hvac cleaning for me (i had some contamination in my evaporator core) which another shop tried, and failed, and charged me $500 for the whole ordeal. All of this was done well at a fraction of the cost at Matsenko, and I saved thousands. I am very pleased with everything, and the amount of attention to communication I received is something I rarely see these days. Everyone was also very nice and personable, from the shop owner, to the tech and to reception which is also less common these days. I drove all the way from Olympia to have this done, and when my rear brakes need a swap, I know who I'll be calling Thank you for the wonderful service everyone!

They did a great job but due to the nature of a 18 yr old coming in saying he did a full 6in lift kit by himself and all he wanted was a alignment is skeptical to say the least ALSO ONE OF THE ONLY SHOPS AROUND THAT DOES ALIGNMENTS ON LIFTED TRUCKS The alignment itself: honestly pretty good however have a slight lean to drivers side which they blamed the tires for (it didn't do that previously with my 3.5in lift) which was not the culprit I later found culprit to be the lower control arm bolts due to finding that the bolt side is stationary with the alignment washers while the nut locks position of them into place and finding one washer isn't aligned the same way on opposite side meaning the bolt is stripped were the washer is most likely due to tightening on wrong side which very well could of been my fault during install of lift kit. it's a 10$ bolt and 4$ washers and I'm not gonna be blaming anybody unless I know for sure who it was especially over 14$. Customer service: absolutely amazing they were really nice people very transparent with me and helped me look at pricing for tires that I needed regardless of if it was effecting alignment or not. Also hooked me up with a goodie bag!!! Also bilingual! About the techs: Occasionally they would come in to the waiting area to ask me about something that the techs wanted to know (the techs are mostly Spanish speaking which I can understand but not speak fluently) and the techs are thorough with what they need to do they test drove it more than once and made some small tweaks. Extra notes: I did get a few questions about what a sound could be I told them they could bend the rotor dust sheild because I was planning on replacing it anyway (yes that was the issue) The bad: the damn pothole in-front of the shop is the worst part of the experience I swear one day (if it hasn't happened already) it will take off someone's bumper or side skirt it's a 4in deep hole that they need to go around or through

Normally I take to Yelp for everything (duh), but I decided to post in a local Facebook mom's group about our recent issues in search of a mechanic that is tried, true, and reliable. River City Repair was suggested by another local mom, and from there it was less than a WEEK that we had our car up and running with no shady business done. Mark, the owner, actually owns two tow trucks and was able to come tow my vehicle for an incredibly affordable price to the shop. Not only that, but they called me their next business day before 9am with a diagnosis and price. From approving the fixes to the car being ready (and there was a laundry list) it took 48 hours.... 48 HOURS! They worked incredibly fast for the work that needed to be done. And for 8 total things that needed to be fixed (a couple that were major and made it so we couldn't drive the car), we were out the door for parts and labor for less than $2,500. My husband was dumbfounded at their honesty and affordability after a year of dealing with car issues/shady businesses between the two of us. We were ready to throw in the towel and scrap the car and just buy something new even though we reallllly didn't want to, so I am SO glad I posted on that page and was introduced to River City Repair. I met Mark's wife, Tana, over Facebook and she was the one who put all of the gears into motion to get us scheduled to even offering a one-time free diagnostic to help out a local fellow mom. Mark personally drove the truck to pick our car up and he was such a kind, personable guy - even down to showing our two year old truck-obsessed son a few things on the tow truck (and totally making his day). Mark made a comment about his clients becoming like family, and I can TOTALLY see why. They're such great, honest people and this is the epitome of a small local business being a pillar in their community. Hands down we have found our go-to shop. Thank you to the entire River City Repair team for all of their kindness and hard work!

I was told "they wouldn't charge me for that work and if sucked they had put so much resources and time into it." Well they got the new engine and installed it within my truck, some weeks later I took it back because my driveway was riddled with oil leaks and I was told it was a transmission leak which they charged me to fix. Well it continued leaking but due to trusting in Larry and his team from previous experiences I just assumed they did an inspection and all was good. Well after two years of it....had someone that owns an avalanche truck ask me last week about my truck and I gave him the spill on its leaking oil I know but with receipts and being told it's not, I think it is. He looked at it and being an airplane mechanic for commercial airlines, he examined with his eyes and quickly pointed out the oil gasket seal looks to be the root cause of oil literally being sprayed along the entire undercarriage of my truck. He took a zip tie and was able to slide it with ease into a space. Well lo and behold, he offers to fix it because he previously fixed his own and I helped... guess what.... The gasket was improperly installed and in fact the main cause of my oil leak. Well sad to say, because they overlooked it, my truck is back to tapping like it was before they attempted to fix the lifters and installed the engine. Sadly, I played over 5k for a replaced engine to have it possibly needing to be replaced again two years later because of a lapse in quality control of $25-$30 oil pan gasket cover. I did call them yesterday and mentioned pricing for labor and parts to replace an oil pan gasket and it's 600.00 excluding tax. This guy installed it with my minimal help and after laying cardboard underneath my truck... not one drop of oil from it sitting all night. Really disappointed and I understand mistakes happen, but I kept calling and telling them it was an oil leak and being the "professionals" and with such good previous experiences with them.. I assumed they knew best. Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't take it to someone else for a second inspection years ago.

If they are a legitimate business that is willing to provide a "free" estimate, broken down line item for line item, it might be well worth your while. Otherwise, save your pocketbook and your time and look further to find an automotive repair shop that will do that. Timing is also an issue. Time and money. Everyone wants to save time and money. Businesses are in the business of making money or they cannot stay in business. A legitimate and on the level business owner also acknowledges that without transparency, and fair marketing and pricing, they might have an individual's business one time but they will not receive an individual's repeat business. Some businesses play the numbers game and believe that if they can entice thousands of individual's willing to take their business to them at least once and pay them for an estimate, they will stay in business. Unfortunately this new model business practice of getting a customer in the door, if only one time, is becoming the norm.
