Go to Drive Auto Sports Looks like the idle issue I was also having was caused by improper modding of the fuel system. This shop told me I didn't need new lines or fuel rails for my mods but that was incorrect. Also they left a fuel line loose which popped off and sprayed everywhere and installed the cylinder 4 cooling mod on the wrong coolant lines. read more

I took my car to PIA to get my turbo replaced (they identified that it had a leak). I have a warranty plan on my car so it was covered for the replacement. They handled all of the hassle with the warranty company and are always thoughtful in helping diagnose the issues your car has. The one area that they could polish up on is when calling back customers to give them progress updates. They are super busy so I know it can be overlooked, but that's really my only gripe. Overall they are great and I would highly recommend. read more

If you're thinking about bringing your Subie in to get some work done, don't even think about going to the Subaru Dealership like I did. Bring it straight in here, they will have your car come out the way you expect it to! I needed work on my 06 WRX in because it had issues with the rpms fluctuating at idle and I brought it to two different mechanics before coming here and that was my mistake. Both mechanics couldn't pinpoint the issue and actually lead me in the wrong direction. I let Andrew at PIA know the problems I was having, prior work done on the car, etc and his team went to work. Turns out my intake manifold had a bunch of air leaks due to worn out hoses and gaskets and he had all of them replaced and on top of that made a custom map and removed my CEL. Very knowledgable team here, I'd recommend them to anybody. I'm definitely coming back if I run into more issues with my car read more

I'm accustomed to doing a lot of work on my own or having a business discount at other shops, so the price always surprises me a little bit; perhaps I'm just not familiar with market prices. There's no words that I can use to express my love for PIA. Seriously. They will take care of you and your car. This is my very first Subaru and I wanted it to be taken care of. I tried another independent Subaru specific shop that was closer to me to install a rear sway bar. After about a year I hear some squeaking in the back, I took it to PIA and they pointed out that it was installed upside down! I did take it back to the other shop to have them flip it. I have been going to PIA for many years to have my Subaru's regularly serviced for everything outside of warranty work and here is the reason why. I recently had a major tune up on my 2009 Forester. Fortunately they also found a crack in my radiator and I had to have that replaced as well. I ended up having a couple of follow up issues and had to bring it in again. The issues were diagnosed and got taken care of right away. Free of charge. One issue was pretty extensive labor wise and would have normally been a costly fix. This is the kind of service that I have been given throughout the years with PIA and is the reason why I will continue to go back to them for years to come. read more

This is the Pacific NW. Land of Subies GALORE. But wait. You got a modified Subaru or heaven forbid, if you've used the ever popular Cobb Accessport to get a few more horsepower, very few shops can help you out, including the dealership. That was me. I went to every Subie specific shop in Seattle. And either got turned down (dealership) or was told we can't figure it out (other shops who say they know Subarus, yes I went to ALL of them). My next choice was to sell my car. I was THAT desperate. Using some extensive online research, I went with a long list of possible things to swap out and knew this issue was hard to diagnose. Trial and error was looking expensive. Instead the fine guys at PIA looked at something completely different that even the extensive online network of car owners hadn't considered and my car was humming in a way it never had before. I was at the end of hope and these guys came through! There is definitely more going on here than meets the eye. They are a Cobb Authorized dealer. The have a full dyno and dyno tune (I was given a tour!). They had my part in stock and knowing my year/make and the type of item, I was DULY surprised and impressed! Working on Subaru's... it's not rocket science, it's an art and no one else does it better in the Seattle region. It's a drive from Seattle but there is a Starbucks within walking distance of PIA and Enterprise will drop off a car if needed. For unmodified or stock vehicles? You're in MORE than safe hands. I purchased my first Subaru and during the sales process the salesguy stated that PIA was the ONLY place to go for anything on my new car. Being a super anal about my autos, I did my research and found that everyone else had the same "Great Experience" with PIA and their cars. BOTTOM LINE: I set up an appointment for my 1000 mile "Break-in" service with super high hopes and PIA and its staff absolutely delivered. Dave (I believe to be the service manager) was fantastic. He walked me around my car (and his car), and gave me more info in an hour about my stage 2 options that I had seen in 3 weeks of research and they KNOW what they are talking about. Talk about trust. I have taken 3 different STI's to these guys and have all the confidence to push my car hard after they've worked on it. I've brought in cars with some GNARLY workmanship from previous shops and had PIA fix all the mistakes so I (and my mom) don't have to worry about breaking down...or exploding.
