The techs then refer to the large in-store guide, explaining their recommendations in detail. This visit, I popped in for a rotation. As a rideshare driver, I have the need for new tires far more often than Sunday drivers. I utilize their sister company, Tire Rack, find the most economical deal for my vehicle. I then have them sent directly to Discount Tire, who notifies me when they've arrived. I can either schedule an installation appointment - or just drop by. My experience here has been that they usually underpromise and overdeliver, especially when it comes to estimating how long I'll be waiting. If a customer shows up, give them the benefit of the doubt, rather than telling them the tire is at another location. I drove because I didn't want to wait any longer and because I had faith that my tire was where it was said to be, just to realize it was at the original location the whole time and sending it right after you realized so you didn't have to have a confrontation. I will not return to this location unless absolutely necessary. Learn to take initiative and double check next time.

College son took car to St Charles Telle for a Missouri safety inspection. Telle failed the rear brakes saying they were below a1/16" and that they looked like the originals. They quoted him $700 to replace. The next weekend I bought part to replace them and when I disassembled I found brake pads had over 1/8" and rotors were good so they didn't actually need to be done. Was it an inexperienced tech, or a way to get revenue because they don't make money on inspections? Either way, we won't be back!
