I've been going get takeout for a long time from here, but I'm almost done with their exceptionally slow service, A few months ago, I picked up a medium-sized order and arrived right on time according to the pickup ETA. A half an hour later I finally got my food. But at least the Thai lady gave me a free iced tea to make up for it. Fast forward to today, I deliberately arrived 10 minutes late (5:40pm with an ETA of 5:30pm) because we had a medium-size order (3 entrees and some pot stickers). Part of the order was done, but not all of it. Other people then came in after and then got their order before me, one even saying she was early. I needed to wait until 6:02pm to get the order. I again asked to the please fix their ETA given and the Thai lady seems just shrug it off. The just don't seem to care about other's time. read more

We've gone here for take out since the covid shutdown. They are close to our house so very convenient. Not the best Thai food but was ok.They have never been too interested In us dining in so we get take out. They are reliable for the most part with online orders and quick to take care of you. But the last few times ordering it isn't so great! This time was not my choice to go there but.... The fried chicken was wayyyyy salty, the curries and such are just full of mushy zucchini and everything is very sloppy runny including the noodles. It's as if rice is expensive or something? Very little given for a very runny sauce that is overly salted etc. I just don't get excited about getting food here any longer. It seems like all of the reviews predate the time that I sensed fatigue eating their food so maybe I'm not the only one noticing this? read more

Thai Golden Bowl did a fantastic job catering my daughter's birthday party last weekend. The food was hot and fresh and delicious, which is typical of Golden Bowl. They are our favorite Thai restaurant. They are so consistent, you can always count on the freshest Pad Thai or Pad See Ew and their crispy rolls are the best! This business is always so appreciative when we place an order. The food is packaged well, generous portions all as requested (picky ones in the house), always hot and very delicious. We seldom eat there, typically to go since Covid, but there are several booths and it's very clean. Usually ready in about 15 minutes from the time we place the order. I'm so glad I found this gem super close to my house. I've been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks. It's that delicious. Level 5 spice got a lot of kick so if you don't put samyang hot sauce on a lot of stuff like I do for fun, I recommend you get 2 or less just to be safe. One of my friends thought 5 would be okay and it did not turn out well. I personally enjoy it so much at 5 Tom yum fried rice : never had this before at any other Thai restaurant but I've now ordered this twice now haha. I love it. Pad Kee Mao : fragrant and delicious Tom yum soup : little bit sour than what you normally would taste from a Tom yum but still recommend Pad thai : no complaints here, a really solid pad thai. I had a mixup where I ordered Tom yum fried rice and got pineapple fried rice. Didn't notice till I got back home, no problem they took care of it immediately and I swapped out my incorrect fried rice for the right one and went about my day. After seeing this place for a while, I finally had take out from here recently. No pictures because it was so tasty I didn't have a chance to put my food down to take some, next time! The online ordering process is easy. I ordered the Crispy chicken, with riceberry rice and a side of vegetables. Firstly the chicken was fried to perfection and the basil was crispy and delicious. I've never had riceberry rice before so that was unique, I really enjoyed it. The steamed veggies were also good. My friend got the duck curry and jasmine rice, and a side of egg rolls. All of these items were equally tasty. The whole order was around $50, and well worth it as there was a lot of food, plus the rice is included in the price which is rare these days in Thai restaurants. I'm so happy to support this restaurant in the future, everything well prepared for takeout and very tasty too. Look forward to trying more dishes. read more

I like this place quite a bit. My wife finds their "mild" or 1 star to be spicier than Chantanee in Bothell and doesn't like that. Everything about the experience ( from web order to dine in to the food) is good in my opinion, although rice quantity does seem real skimpy to curry quantity. read more

My niece has been going here to get her Thai food fix so I decided to give it a try. I tried an assortment of dishes from pineapple curry fried rice, pad see ew, panang curry, papaya salad, and their crisp chicken with a garlic sauce. (And my apologies for any misspelling and incorrect dish names) But overall I thought the food was very good. The seasoning, the spice, quality ingredients. I would recommend giving this place a try. The only negative, which really isn't a complaint but more a sign of the times, but portion size is a medium. But food costs are high and that's just the world today. But go support your local businesses and if you have a craving for reasonably priced Thai food, this is worth a try. read more

This little thai restaurant really impressed me the other weekend. We decided on some thai takeout and I called to place the order. I try to limit my sugar intake and that can be pretty tricky while eating out, especially with thai food since so much of the flavor profile involves that sweet/spicy/combo. So I am chatting with the gal about what might be the least sweet satay and give her a couple items I am contemplating. She steers me in the direction of the thai basil dish and offers to make it with no added sugar! How sweet is that??? She did warn there were still sugars in some of the sauces, but hey...every bit counts right? Order was ready promptly and everything (even my reduced sugar version) was super tasty and fresh. One thing to note, their stars are pretty spicy. We like spice and 3 stars are plenty! read more

A happy accident my sisters and I originally were on the Eastside to try Isarn but it was too busy. We decided to pick up a delivery to go instead and we were happily surprised at how good the food was! The larb tasted just like my mom's and was so balanced. The spicy papaya salad wasn't joking when it said it was spicy as the use fresh chili peppers that legitimately lit my stomach on fire! I grew up eating spicy Thai and Laotian foods so I'm not kidding about the spice! The fried rice and pad thai were pretty good as well and provided a slightly sweet carb addition to dinner. Definitely look forward to trying them out again and hopefully when we are able to dine in again. read more

I think this is a really solid place for thai food. Came here on a whim because I was feeling hungry and was in the area and wanted to order some take out. The food was done really quickly and the girl at the counter was really nice. Ive only had the pad thai here so far, but they flavors were really comforting. It was sweet and savory yet spicy. I asked for 4 star spiciness and usually that's still not really that spicy to me in my opinion. But wow the 4 star spice really kicks here and I absolutely love that. I Happened upon TGB in QFC parking lot so stopped in front and started reading reviews. It sounded decent enough and prices were not too high. Wait for p/u order was 40 min. but that worked for me as I had to hit QFC first. Ordered Phad Thai w/Chix, white rice and a wonderful crispy Thai spicy chicken. My only regret is not paying the extra $3 for more peanut sauce , as I thought the Phad Thai was definitely a bit dry and not enough sauce, but certainly adequate except for that. The chicken was to die floor. Wings and thigh. Small pieces but extremely flavorful. My bf. as bf I split the 2 entrees and had more than enough. Second time I've tried to get food at Thai golden bowl. First time was when It first opened, did not end well. Food didn't settle in my stomach. Thought I'd give it a new chance. Walked in the store there were three tables being served, two people waiting for pick up. I waited 11 minutes and was not acknowledged or greeted, or any acknowledgment of a customer present in the store. This was a real bummer. I was looking forward to trying a closer Thai food restaurant. I am writing this review, and driving to the closest Thai restaurant, their competitor. My old standby I have always given four or five stars to every single time we go there. Guess I'll stick with the go to, known Thai food restaurants. We had a meal from Thai Golden Bowl for the first time about a month ago. It was great, so much so we didn't hesitate tonight to get take away from here again. I am not sure if they have had a change in owner or chef but tonight this ranks up there with one of the worst thai meals I have ever had. The green curry wasn't spicy even tho we ordered medium. The tofu and vegetables inside it were cold and hard. The pad thai was red (pretty sure from tomato sauce) with no tamarind flavour in sight and even tho we had ordered it hot was bland. So disappointed we won't be able to support this local establishment anymore. read more

We just moved to the Kenmore from kirkland and this is the closest Thai so we tried it tonight and I was NOT a disappointed. The kids loved the crispy chicken (even better than spicy talk) and I was craving veggies so I got the veggie delight and we shared a Pad Kee Mao. All really good. We will be regulars! read more

Went in here for lunch today. This is the site of our former pizza shop and I've been wanting to try it. They have lots of great Thai selections on their menu. Lunch prices are several dollars less than the same selection for dinner, so the menu was a little confusing. I was happy that they had the choice of Brown or White rice. I had the Thai Cashew Chicken with Brown Rice and my son had the Swimming Rama. They have the usual 1 through 5 stars for the spicy food and I initially asked for 4 but the waitress convinced me that they were hotter than the other Thai restaurants. They were, I got a 3 and it was slightly hotter than what I get other places with 4 stars which is what I usually try the first time in a new Thai restaurant. Both dishes were delicious! I agree with a couple of the other reviewers that this is probably the best Thai restaurant around. They are in kind of an out of the way place, but you really need to go try them. read more

Needed to grab a quick bite before I headed to work and this place was on the way. I came in at 4, right when then open for dinner so obviously, I was the first and only customer for the first 30 min, and maybe they didn't heat up the kitchen earlier but it did take over 20 minutes for my food to come out. I ordered a Thai ice tea, it was pretty sweet for me and not enough of the tea flavor. I ordered fresh rolls, which was delicious, but I did not favor the thin noodles they had in it. I prefer the thick noodles but it was fine. The sauce was very warm and went well with the rolls. It took 10 minutes for the fresh rolls to come out, which is a pretty long time compared to most places. I order tofu phad Thai, delicious as well. It didn't come with a lime which wasn't an issue, I just asked for it and the waitress brought me one. Though, I asked for fresh tofu and the tofu was too firm compared to what I usually get at other places. It also seemed like they cooked the tofu too. Didn't like the feeling of the cook skin on the tofu. The waitress was very friendly. I also liked their music playlist. Unlike other places that just play piano music, they had nice Thai songs playing. I will come back again and tried their other dishes! read more
