A long line waiting to order coffee and an even longer crowd waiting for their order. So, I went over to the order-online kiosk that claims you can skip the line. The guy ahead of me was trying to buy a bottle of water, but the kiosk kept erroring out. We tried again and again, even using different bottles. No luck. He gave up. My turn. I didn't get a chance to grab a Cuban on this trip, so with some extra time at the airport in Terminal C (Southwest Airlines), I hit Cafe Con Leche. The biggest problem I had was it wasn't pressed. In fact, the sandwich press looked not to be working... But I'm not sure... As I started typing this, I realized I ordered my Cuban "hot", not "pressed", so maybe this was on me? On the menu it's "Hot Pressed" (see pic), so who knows? That being said, it as hot, but without being pressed, did not live up to my expectations. It was rather soft, but it was tasty. I like that Terminal F has a Gonzmart wing. It's nice for an airport to celebrate local businesses. That being said, I went to Cafe Con Leche only because I didn't have time to grab lunch elsewhere before my flight. And the food was only so so. I ordered a Cafe Ybor (strangely enough, the Cafe Ybor is more expensive than the cafe con leche for a single, but cheaper for a double) and a pressed Cuban. The Cafe Ybor was fine. It was actually a huge serving, and so I anticipate being wired for the rest of my day. The Cuban sandwich was not pressed. It was baked in an oven. Therefore, the bread was still fluffy rather than crispy. Also, they didn't use enough mustard or pickle, so the sandwich lacked acidity. The serving size was huge, way more than I could eat, but I'd rather a smaller sandwich made correctly. I will say that the service was pretty fast. While you are still paying airport prices, the serving sizes of the pastries on display were big. If I'm in a rush and boarding at a nearby gate, this wouldn't be an awful option. read more

Tl;dr: Andrea C-R is an UHMAIZBALLS barista and completely changed the vibes for the rest of my day I just moved back to Tampa and it was a complete cluster and I hadn't slept in a week. I was about to board a flight back to Dallas (to clean up my old house to sell it) and needed a energy boost so I could #adult on the plane and track everything I've done, what still needs to be done, etc. To obtain said energy, I stopped by Cafe con Leche for an Almond Milk Cortadito. Andrea was just super happy and nice and bouncing her high curly ponytail around...there was a cosmic transfer of positive energy that I desperately needed! It was wicked busy and she was just so awesome! In a world where neighbors are evil and harass each other to the point of lawsuits, I like to take a minute and share the positive encounters with humans. Inside Tampa Airport yesterday 12/3/2021 at 4 02pm I really needed something to eat before my 6pm flight. Saw the location along with a few other places that share the large eating area, and since I hadn't had time to have a Cuban sandwich while in Florida I gave it a try, really without having huge expectations upfront. Ordered 20oz Aquafina water, bag of chips, and the Cuban Sandwich, total was $19.20 and left $2 cash tip in counter tip cup. Register slip says - 56 Sara R. so hopefully one of the 2 very nice young ladies working. Would I return, yes! Pros- Quick service and both young ladies were very nice! Cuban sandwich was very good for airport food, served hot and good flavor. Good quality and taste of bag of chips they carry. Tables in the shared area for eating were all very clean even though lots of turn over and overall area was pretty busy. I typically spend more than $20 on food and drink before a flight, so since I liked the food and was under $20 I call this a pretty good value. Seasoned with about half a jar of whatever spice they use (not mentioned in description) along with an abundance of salt and butter. You can taste everything but the egg. Okay breakfast choice for what is available. $20 for two breakfast sandwiches & an iced coffee Cuban breakfast sandwich & Ybor breakfast sandwich - both were soggy and about room temperature vs warm/hot. The Cuban had a decent amount of meat on it, which I appreciate! Most places skimp on the meat. The iced coffee had an off taste to it. Sometimes you just don't know what to get to eat, especially for early morning flights. I decided to get some breakfast and wasn't sure what to get. Spotted Cafe com Leche in the C terminal right by my gate and decided I'd try them out. Breakfast selection included breakfast sandwiches and assorted pastries. I decided to go for the ham, egg and cheese sandwich. The taste was just ok, especially for $7 but I was hungry so it didn't matter much. Service was fine with the cashier taking my order quickly and the food being prepped in under 5 minutes. Would I be back? Maybe...depends on how hungry I am and if the lines are long. There are numerous choices in the food court so I would probably try another spot first. read more

Wandered down the terminal and saw Café con Leche, a local place from Ybor City. Got a regular coffee and it was fantastic! Earth friendly people won't like the styrofoam cups but they serve their coffee HOT so they're needed. If you just drink regular coffee or simple espresso drinks (like a cafe con leche/cafe au lait) you will love this coffee. If you need candy cane unicorn puke organic soy chai frappuccinos with extra whip, you won't like this place! I'll be back EVERY time in TPA flying SW. read more

It comes naked and you can dress it with powder sugar and cinnamon. It's super thin and a good potion. As such there are lots of crunchy bits if you are into crunchy bits. Yes, yes I am!
