Joe at Avis solved my problem today, got me into a great car for a great price - and didn't charge me an outrageous price to return to different location. Enterprise turned me away today - I am a TEN-year loyal customer of Enterprise, but today thet turned me away (after Ybering to their location, taking time to book online etc) because I only had a physical debit card (and not a physical credit card)! Stuck in city away from home without a car is a terrifying prospect - especially for a woman. Enterprise forced me to go to their competitor as I had no choice - and I found Joe at Avis - Avis takes physical debit cards and not only that but he put me in a better car and allowed me to return to a different location at the same rate! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Joe at this location. Thanks to Enterprise for forcing me to find someone else who provided me much better service and deal all around. Ordered a car from budget rental to be picked up when I arrived in Denver 9/14/25. My flight arrived at 11:30 pm I made it to the Shuttle area by 12:15 am; I waited on Island 4 for 45 min; not a single budget shuttle in sight. Finally after 45 min One came by and did not stop at the Budget stop. I tried yelling, flagging him down but he did not stop. Finally an Avis driver said that they can deal with Budget rentals and took me to the Avis hub. Budget did not communicate that Avis shuttles can deliver me to the Avis hub and take care of my reservation there. Avis for some reason were not able to pull up the reservation even though they are the same company. I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't do that either. I had no choice but to exit their gate which was far, with heavy luggage at around 1:45 am waiting on the side of the highway, desolate and dark with cars flying by waiting for my Lyft driver to arrive 20 minutes later. I didn't get to my hotel in Broomfield until 2:50 AM. Budget rental are the worst company who put me in dangerous situation, provided no help in getting me to a safe spot where I could get uber or Lyft, in the middle of the night, a female by herself standing in the side of some highway! I'm flabbergasted and will never ever deal with this company again. I called their customer service and was hung up on 3 times, someone would pick up and I would hear loud talking and laughter and then they would hang up. Finally the 4th time on the side of the highway I got a hold of a customer service rep. and broke down crying... he let me know that the DIA Budget rental is one of the worst and they get many many complaints from them. That's bad if their own agent says that! This was a horrible experience. Your company, your people have zero morals & ethic! Absolute worst service ever. Joe "the manager" told us he would not honor our already made reservation. Ended up charging us 3xs the total of our reservation AND when he spoke with Denver Budget agent he told him he could do whatever he wanted. Also stated he didn't need to do what his boss tells him that he can simply do whatever he wanted then proceeded to laugh in our faces. Didn't give us the car we originally booked. When we asked for a print out receipt, he said he can't print. Completely rude and I would NEVER EVER recommend this business to anyone. I don't even know how this place is still in business. It was also so dirty with dead bugs everywhere and cobwebs covering every corner. Please just refrain from using this & you will save yourself a major headache. He got vulgar and began shouting to get the **** out his location when I requested to speak with a supervisor or management. I prepaid a car rental for me and my husband to drive to the mountains for our 1st anniversary. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was informed by this Avis rental agent that "he had to release my car because I didn't pick it up within a certain window". I was there by 1:30 p.m., and mind you, nothing is posted or in writing " that states that once you pay in full for a car, the customer is required to pick up that car at a certain time". Clearly, the time I went to retrieve my paid for vehicle, was well before their closing time. So basically Budget/Avis thinks it is legal to resale an item that was already paid for. As result, I was forced to drive my car, (usually used for short errands in town), to the mountains, for our anniversary reservations. Fortunately, I put this charge on my credit card and the charge was reversed, but I felt Avis/Budget should offer more than their "sincere apologies". After two exchanges of email, Avis/Budget made it clear what side of customer service they were on, by stating they could only their "sincere apology" as compensation for my inconvenience. read more

NEVER EVER RENT FROM HERE. We reserved our rental at 3PM. got there at 4:30 thinking it should be more than ready... I was wrong. They said they had been trying to figure out where the driver went with our car for over an hour. Apparently they left the airport and then they could not reach them. I wish they would have called us, we paid $30 for a lift from the airport to this location and would have picked it up there. We paid for a truck as we were going to the mountains and the only other thing they had was a minivan. We waited an hour for another truck to be delivered, missing the rehearsal dinner for the wedding we were in town for. The truck was filthy inside and out, their excuse was they tried to be as fast as they could... it takes a minute or two to vacuum up crumbs. They didn't walk us to our car, instead we drove it back through the parking lot to notate the GIANT dent that we may have been charged for had we not gotten in notated. Two days into our trip we heard about all of the hail in the area and figured we should stop by before we leave town and add the insurance for the rest of the trip. They said no I can't do that. You either pay for the whole rental of none at all. Can't you just check the car in and then re rent it with the insurance for the remainder of the trip? Rented for Memorial Day wedding trip to Wisconsin. On way there and back had multiple issues, windshield wipers blades non existent aside from string you can see in the picture. This caused a very dangerous situation as we got hit with a downpour and could not see the interstate road and had to pull over. Air light for tire came on yet did not display PSI. When going the speed limit on interstate 80 it makes a noises that's high pitched, and we even had death wobble. I immediately relayed to support To no helpful solution, I was on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get a replacement car or even windshield wiper blades to me, and of course calling the local line here brings you to main support line if they don't answer, which they didn't. In the end fault lies with the location I got the car from, so do you and your family a favor and rent from a budget that actually checks and inspects the vehicles they rent. read more

First trip to Colorado. Our flight was delayed 2 hours and we weren't going to make it to Avis/ Budget to pick up our rental on time before closing. My wife spoke with Jose and he assured us that he would hold our reservation until 9am the next day. We arrived to Avis/Budget the next morning and the woman behind the counter was very nice and accommodating even though the computer system wasn't. The system was charging us an amount above our quoted price. The manager Joe was already on his way in ,so we waited a few minutes until he arrived. The woman quickly explained what was going on with the quoted amount. Joe fixed the issue with the quoted car rental amount and showed his employee how to fix it. Joe was very courteous and apologetic. He gave us our quoted amount , they brought the car around and we were on our way. Thank you Joe and thank you to your amazing staff. read more

Not cheapen Avis as this is a Budget issue--who shares this location. Posted hours say 6 pm. Despite repeated attempts to contact this store directly and let them know that I would be there around 5:30/5:45...I arrive to pick up my rental car at 5:45 pm and the store is CLOSED. In fact, it is so deserted in there that it appears they departed long before their posted closing sign. Unprofessional. This local office assured me that I could make a prepaid reservation and cancel with 48 hours with no charge. Untrue. Budget corporate office charged me $50 cancellation fee and would not budge, despite what this local office told me. The start of our experience with budget car rental was probably enough that we should have moved on. But no. We showed up and were told there were no vehicles available. After being told by a phone rep that there were six such cars waiting there. After about 90 minutes of searching around we finally went back and found there to be a van that was returned we could have. So we paid and were asked when we wanted to return said van. We said Sunday afternoon. We were told that dropping it off Monday would be the same price. But at the time Sunday was going to cover it. Then we decided to stay on until Monday. After going through a ridiculous amount of calling and being told our rental agreement could hit be found (like we never rented the van?) we finally got ahold of rep that extended our rental. Then charged an additional $107.24 for a day that was supposed to be free?!!! The original price for three days was $200 even. So why the charge in the first place and the expensive one day on a Monday? I can say that budget is the absolute last place I will ever rent a car from again. read more

Does not matter what time I call the phone just rings and eventually transfers you to the Budget nationwide customer service who will just request that you try contacting the location directly again. We were Supposed to rent a car from a different establishment that was closed because our flight was delayed and they were not open after midnight... We were told that we needed to go to Avis because they were partner companies. When we arrived at Avis the line was about 15+ people deep... And there were around 20+ people sleeping all over even on their luggage because they been waiting over two hours to get a car, this includes small children. We had to take the shuttle back to the airport... And likely Hertz Rent-A-Car was so polite and was able to get us quickly into a car. read more

Can I give fewer stars? This place is terrible. The employees have no empathy or desire to satisfy customers, it's as if they are trying to run off business. I made a reservation to pick up a 12-15 passenger van at this location at noon on 10 Sep 2015. I get there at 1215 and am told it will take a couple of hours to get a van from the airport. The elder employee did not pay attention to his reservation list and did not do his job at the time the reservation came in. He also did not ask if I would like to go to the airport to pick it up. Instead, he wanted to argue with me and ask me why was I being rude? Inept and ineffectual, I'm done with Avis and Budget if this is the best they have to offer. Elsie at this Avis Rent A Car office could not have been more helpful today. We rented a 12 an for a mission trip through our church. She was able to save us some money by changing the contract to unlimited mileage and had that ready for us when we walked in the door. So proactive and so helpful and so quick!
