Our confirmed reservation was for a medium sedan, with an upgrade from our insurance company plan. When we got to SeaTac, all they had left was a budget economy sedan whose trunk barely would allow us to store two or four suitcases (2 large, 2 medium-sized). We went back up to the counter and asked if we could get the car we reserved -- and waited for a "manager" to hear our complaint. Waited more than two hours. My girlfriend, who made the reservation, is at the top of Budget's incentive rewards class, which in this case did us no good. Of course, we could drive back on Monday and talk to a manger, there being none available on Saturday (so shift supervisor, either).
Tire pressures were all low, one tire indicating less than 15 psi; car inside windshield and windows were filthy... hate thinking what was sprayed on the inside of the windows... car floor and seats were also filthy, and the car smelled like smoke, pot, and dirty dog.
Windshield spray reservoir was empty, and the motor oil level was below the minimum line, perhaps as much as 1/2 - 3/4 qt.
We had to add almost 4 gallons from an indicated nearly-fuel level of "full" to actually be full: that's the game people play, I guess, but the gas gauge wasn't quite at the line for Full. We called Budget and were promised recompense for the gas tank being "not full" -- but after some time, Budget doesn't seem to want to honor their promise.
Never again.
