Buds is cute inside. And not crowded at 6:45 on a Saturday!

We'd been driving by Bud's for a couple of years and always remarked on how clean and well kept it looked from the exterior. Finally, one night after a particularly tiresome day at work we decided to stop, and I'm so glad we did! I've found a place that feels safe. It feels like home. Kat, the proprietress, is wonderful. After our first visit, she remembered us and our drink orders. We now stop at least once a week, and sometimes twice. As an older single woman, I'd have zero qualms walking in alone. The menu is extended bar food but the steaks are good and so are the generously poured drinks. I like this place. I like the regular crowd. I like Kat. And I'm glad I've found a place.

A half chicken (which I had them toss in hot sauce) and Jo-jo potatoes with a side of bleu cheese sauce Wow!!!

I love old taverns with character. I love unpretentious food with good service. This is my local watering hole. I don't always want to watch my language or be politically correct. It's is where I sometimes go to watch a game and be pampered by people who know me. This is my dive bar and it's pretty darned awesome. The pic here is of their (chicken and Jo-Jo's). It's a half of a full chicken that they so kindly rolled in hot sauce for me. Yes the entire half chicken. They make the best jo Jo's here by hand. They have all manner of beer and drinks .... But they keep rainier cans on ice! It just doesn't get better for me. Good dive vibes here.

I visited Buds for the 3rd time last night. The first 2 times I ran in, got a shot and then left. Both times I was pleasantly surprised with the prize and size of my shot. Last night was no different. My boyfriend ordered a double shot (pictured below) amd as you can tell by his face, he was pleased. We ordered some grub and it was all pretty good! Exactly what I want out of bar food; hot, fried, seasoned, and quick service. Also, won $75 on a pull tab so Bud's gets 5 stars!

It's ok, I would call it a dive but..... it's too dirty to be considered a cool dive bar. The fried food was good , service was good. Lots of local drinkers hanging about.

And they gave my beloved, hated pull tabs!

We came in for dinner on Cinco de Mayo and ended up paying $83 for two people, each with one entrée and two drinks. I get that it was a busy night, but the value just wasn't there. Prices have gone up quite a bit, and unfortunately the quality doesn't feel like it's kept up. The quesabirria tacos were $24.99 for three, and they came with two very small salsa bowls (both beans) and a small scoop of rice. For that price, it just didn't feel reasonable. On top of that, the tostada I ordered had a soggy shell, which made it hard to even enjoy. I've always liked PV, which is why this was disappointing to experience. It feels like PV has gotten significantly more expensive while the food quality has taken a step back.

Our server was not interested in us after realizing we were not going to order alcohol. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was mediocre. They added dried pepper flakes to make it spicier instead of using real fresh chiles. The portions were huge. I did love their refried bean. I ordered the Los Tres Amigos. I was a bit sad that the chile rellenos was omelette wrapped instead of egg batter. It was still tasty. I had asked for corn tortillas and got flour. My mom's steak fajitas were decent. Was a little worried about the cleanliness, we were seated at a table that still had the receipt and the change/tip left on it and not wiped down. Will I go back?? Probably not. So many other places to try.

4.5 stars! Love The Mill! Have been coming here for years…read moreand the food is consistently wonderful. Brunch, Special menus for holidays, dinner, cocktails, dessert-it has all been top notch. This is a gem. Menu changes regularly so there is always something fresh and new. Prices may seem a little high for the area but the food and drink justify it. On my most recent visit we got 2 appetizers, two entrees (one was steak with shrimp add on), 3 desserts, and 5 cocktails for $250 which was not outrageous. Portion sizes are great. Food is full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We have sat on the restaurant side a few times but normally sit in a booth on the bar side. There is also a small patio off the bar in good weather. Bartenders are friendly and engaging. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Only reason I knocked it a half star is the service on the bar side can be slow or feel forgotten about sometimes but it just depends on the time of day and if the bartender is having to do double duty or if they have dedicated wait staff in that area.

When we walked in, we had the option of going to the bar area or restaurant. We chose the bar. The place was spacious and had ample seating. We sat down and a gal came to our table to ask for our order. She immediately came off as very standoffish, but, all good, we were there to relax and enjoy. We ordered wings to start off with. Mind you, it was happy hour which she mentioned herself. Cool, thank you. The wings were decent but some were soggy. But it's all good. We then ordered an entree and more wings because we were hungry. Did another dozen wings in the buffalo sauce. Our waitress, Kalidawn, reiterating the wings were 2 orders. Didn't make sense but it did in the end as she was trying to separate the orders as "half orders" to charge more? When in reality, it was the same buffalo flavor for the dozen wings so it wasn't a "half order". Really? You're going to do all of that to get you an extra few dollars? She was already rude, dismissive, and bothered from the beginning. We try to look past these things but she was truly excessive. It's like she wanted to make a statement and hated that we weren't regulars. We ended up getting sick after eating here. The service was beyond disappointing and the food sucked, but we also got sick which was the cherry on the cake. We will never be back and hope others think twice. And to find out, Kalidawn is the manager at the restaurant. So don't even bother trying to complain about her horrible HORRIBLE service and attitude. She runs the place which makes sense as to why I'm sure they're struggling. Do better.

I ordered the $21 meat lovers omelette, and I was honestly surprised by what was served. For that price point, I expected a substantial, well executed dish. Instead, the omelette was relatively small, the sausage and ham inside were cold, and the eggs were cooked to the point that they resembled an overdone scramble more than a folded omelette. At that price, that felt difficult to justify. Additionally, there was no pricing listed on the menu for a side of bacon. Being charged $7 for 4 pieces of thin bacon without any prior indication of cost felt uncomfortable and unexpected. Transparency in pricing matters, especially at those rates. My wife ordered a scramble, and unfortunately, it was presented as an open faced mound of eggs placed on top of meat, cheese, and what were labeled as home fries. The potatoes were deep fried and did not resemble home fries in texture or preparation. Presentation aside, the overall execution did not reflect the quality we anticipated. I say all of this respectfully, but firmly: based on this experience, there is not a realistic possibility that we would return. When a restaurant displays a food rating publicly, customers naturally assume a certain standard. After our breakfast this morning, I can understand how that rating may have been earned. I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit it's intended. We believe restaurants deserve the opportunity to hear honest experiences directly. Wishing you the best moving forward.

It's homey, comfy, and would be a great spot to book out for a birthday party or even just a private gathering with friends. You're able to supply a budget to them and they'll figure out a catering game plan based off of your budget which I think is pretty cool. They also do have a small outdoor covered space that has a tv in it so that you can escape for fresh air but not miss anything if you're watching a game. Glad we finally got to check out this cute spot and we'll definitely be back.
