I've been using Bud's for over 10 years and the people who I've interacted with there have always been nice, but I can't recommend them anymore. On 2/5/2021 I had 4 new tires installed. When I called to pick up my car, they said it needed an alignment and I declined. When I arrived to pick it up, they showed me the alignment "before measurements" which indicated I needed an alignment, the LR wheel was the worst. I told them I'll pass (I use someone else for alignments). They said it would take a minute to take it off the rack. I paid and went to drive it home. I walked around the car checking the tires and I noticed that the left rear tire was missing a valve stem cap. I told them and they put one on. When I started the car the TPMS light was lit and I figured it just needed to be driven a mile or two to reset. 5 miles later TPMS was still lit. The next day I decided to check tire pressure, car specs say 35 psi for all 4. mine was LF 34, RF 30, LR 21, RR 34. I filled all 4 tires to 35 psi, drove about 100 feet and the TPMS light went off. I suspect someone lowered the pressure in the LR tire to 21 to throw off the alignment, got distracted and forgot to refill the tire and forgot put the valve stem cap back on. I'm disappointed and have a hard time believing they would deliberately falsify an alignment test, but I have no other explanation for these facts. If they can provide an alternative plausible reason for what happened, I'll delete and/or modify my review. read more

Oscar is an absolute lifesaver!!! After having problems with my last repair ship, he quickly diagnosed my problem, gave me an honest quote, and then walked me through the problem as well as troubleshooted any future issues I may have with my vehicle. I recently took it in the week to have a safety inspection done and was extremely courteous and fair in pricing. This is the only place I can trust my cars at. I've bought all my tires from here and always get excellent service. They do take a little longer than they quote but they're very busy and for a good reason. I don't mind since I know they're taking care of my vehicle. For example, I had one shop tell me that I needed new brakes. I had Bud's check them out and assured me that I still had plenty of life left. Had work done today and was very satisfied with the work as well as the customer service. It wasn't your typical expectation of a mechanic. Not once did they try to up sell me on anything or make my problem seam worse than it really was. I had scheduled an apt at 8am Monday 6/29/15, I was out by 10am just like they said I would be. I had come to Buds to get a 2nd opinion of my a/c not working. the first place I went to gave me an estimate between $300-500. Buds spent a couple of hours testing it. They did find an air pocket which would have accounted for the "Blockage" the other mechanic told me about. the whole thing was $120 out the door. did not try to scam me or get me to buy anything else. What can I say. I woke up and saw one of my tires that had a flat. I had a work meeting in 2 hours and called and spoke to Kevin. He said bring it in. I filled the tire up and drove it almost running out but made it to the shop. 20 min later it was fixed and felt the price was fair. Thanks Kevin. I will be back in the future. They are amazing at Buds. I have taken my cars to Buds for a least the last 9 years maybe more. They have saved my car many times. Oil changes, tires and even this last week. This place is great! Excellent customer service. My husband has used Bud's for years, and I've always taken my car to the dealership. I had to take his Saturn Vue to fix the dropped passenger window, fix the brakes, and fix the tension rod things on the back lift door. Tom Bell Chevrolet in Redlands quoted me $300 to fix the lift for the rear door and it would take a week to do it because they didn't have the part. They charged $107 just to diagnose the passenger window only! We already knew what the problem was; we just wanted estimates on each job we requested! I took the receipt from Tom Bell to Bud's and showed Robert at the counter, who was very helpful. He said they would've only charged $40 to diagnose the passenger window, AND they had the part to fix the lift for the rear door, AND it could be done on the same day, and it would cost $111 - about $200 less than the dealership would charge. We still spent a pretty penny today (brakes and window), and we had to drive a ways to get the better service and price, but it was worth it. We saved hundreds of dollars and our valuable time. Bud's has gained me as a loyal customer along with my husband. I highly recommend them. read more

OMG what a relief to find an honest auto repair shop with wonderful people from the desk staff, Oscar to the service technician Steve. I took my car to Bud's after being told by Toyota of Riverside that my car needed over $2,500 in repairs. Bud's check all the items that Toyota of Riverside told me my car needed at no cost and told me that my car needed NONE of the items listed by Toyota of Riverside. Toyota of Riverside mechanics only took 35 minutes to list over $2.500 in repairs. Bud's took their time to check all items. The amount of time they took to check my car reassured me that they were actually checking my car for repairs unlike Toyota of Riverside. I highly recommend Bud's as an honest auto repair business. BTW I'm a women and they made me feel very comfortable discussing my car unlike Toyota of Riverside!! read more

They know me by name when I walk in the door and I never feel taken advantage of or like they are just adding things on to bring up the price. I got a "free oil change" from my daughter's school for her perfect attendance. When I went in to use this coupon the cashier told me the coupon was worth $25. I asked how much synthetic oil would cost and he said $38. So I calculated that as being $13. When he handed me the paper to sign it said $62. Labor, disposal, tire rotation, lube. Those items cost extra. I was told it would be $38, when surprise, its $62. I decided to take my keys back and leave. So much for my "free oil change". I didn't even get the coupon back upon leaving. Not coming back to Bud's. My husband called a few different shops to get prices for a standard oil change. We went with Bud's because my husband was told it was $24.95 and after the service was completed. The bill was $50, definitely not the $24.95. Plus we were given a laundry list of items that needed to be taken care of costing over $1,000 and of course we were told we could finance some of it. I think no!. I was in dire need of new tires which I had been putting off for months. The recent rains, however, forced me to finally do it. I did some research on nearby tire companies because frankly, I didn't have a whole lot of money after Christmas. I found Bud's website online and sent them an email from their contact info page on a Sunday night. On Monday morning I got a response from Bud himself who was so delightful! He got me a better deal than I thought I would get with BF Goodrich tires I wanted!! He gave me an excellent out the door price and told me that he could have me in and out in about an hour and we scheduled an appt for that Wednesday. ALL TRUE!! In and out in one hour, not a penny over what he quoted me, and the customer service folks at the front desk were so helpful. I couldn't have been happier. If you have to spend money on tires, I recommend to all those in the Inland Empire area to go see Bud for their tire and automotive needs!! read more

The work was done well,(so far) but man that guy at the front is RUDE and either likes to play stupid or maybe just really is an idiot...His name was Oscar, brought my car in for a new set of tires, I asked him his recommendation on a good tire that was affordable, his response was "whatever tire you like..." without even giving me any options prior. He then said he was going to go ask one of the guys in the garage, so he leaves me waiting at the counter for almost fifteen minutes, mean while I can hear him BSing with the tire guys, laughing and making jokes....comes back and gives me an option on a few tires, he said he would be back again a few minutes later, once he left a younger guy was on the other computer, I asked him for help and he wrote me up in about 10 minutes, Oscar came back and wrote me up, without saying thank you or anything when I left. At least one person in the building was competent. I will never come back again, Ill be sure never to recommend this place because of this a**hole. Americas tire Co. for me from now on.... read more

This place is a rip off! They quote you one price and then if you say that it is too much or you can't afford it, all of a sudden, they change their price. One time I took my car and was told I needed a new battery - the battery was 1 month old but my car was sitting, so the battery died. When I went to Bud's, they said I needed a new battery and the one in the car was no good. I only went to Bud's because it is close to where I live. After getting my battery charged, I went to my regular mechanic and the battery was perfectly fine. I am a woman, I know they were just trying to make a buck off of me. They only guarantee their parts for 30 days - one month, really?!?! Hey Bud - women do know somethings about cars - and NO - you will NOT be my "car guy" as you suggested. read more

Today they rotated my tires no charge I was in and out of their in less then half an hour. All with no upsell. Every time I go to Toyota of Riverside it's up sell ville, I hated that! This is a first class operation...I dropped my truck off at the Moreno Valley store @ 2 pm w/out an appt. to have a flat fixed and my tires rotated. I recently paid Bud's Tires & Wheels $750 to lower my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 (I supplied the McGaughey's lowering kit). After a successful install that I was very pleased with, the following weekend I went back to order a new set of wheels and tires. After consulting with one of the service writers, we agreed that a 22" x 9.5" wheel with a 285/45 tire should fit without any clearance issues. This decision was based on both my internet research and the knowledge of the service writer. A few days later, I had the new wheels and tires installed at a total price of $2,200. Unfortunately, before I even left the parking lot, I could hear the dreaded sound of the front tires rubbing inside the fenders. I drove the truck home and on a couple of short errands (total of less than 50 miles) to see if the problem would persist, which it did. Therefore, the following business day I went back to see about exchanging the wheels and tires for a smaller size, fully realizing that I would have to pay for labor, shipping and possibly a restocking fee. Upon explaining the fitment issues I was having to the service writer and showing him where the tires were rubbing holes in my inner fender-liners, I was told that once the wheels and tires were mounted that I owned them and that there was nothing he could do. He stated that the rubbing would not damage the tires and that I should just get used to it. To say that I was disappointed with this explanation is an understatement. I then contacted the General Manager of Bud's who restated this same position and could only offer me suggestions such as selling the wheels and tires on E-bay or Craigslist. At this point I consider my new truck to be basically un-drivable in its current state, and have therefore removed my $2,200 wheels and tires and replaced them with my stock ones. The new wheels and tires sit in a corner of my garage (currently available for sale on Craigslist at a $700 discount) as a testament to my lack of good judgment and as a painful reminder to never do business with Bud's Tires & Wheels again. read more

This place is amazing. We stopped using dealerships completely because of this place. We have a 2011 Jeep, a 2006 GMC truck, a 2012 Chev Truck, and a 2012 Mercedes. For those of you with high end cars, they can reset the service lights...no need to go to the overpriced and very unethical Walter's Mercedes anymore. We have been to Bud's dozens of times in the past ten years and never once have we had any issue. They are prompt, honest, courteous, and thoroughly explain every situation. Bud is a stand up guy and have a strong feeling that my last experience was not the Norm at Bud's Tire & Wheel.
