So disappointed was not even let into the place according to some dude the place was reserved but there was hardly any people there. We were only trying to get a simple meal but he advised us to come back the following day and he would give us 10% off i didn't care about no damm price i was just trying to get a meal i guess my 100 dollars for 2 wasn't worth it to them we even ask the guards for maybe a table in the balcony but u guess that wasn't possible. They did not even ask "would you like a order to go". Or even a table in the corner of the balcony would have been great! Today it was BAD MESA. Service: bad service , they have some young kids that are inexperienced in the service industry. Host said they were no tables in the patio when there were some available and it was apparent they were reserving it for their people since there was a group playing. Took forever to get the order compared to the number of people in the restaurant. Waiter was not attentive and did not ask for refills nor take plates from the table. Decor: spacious , but they don't make good use of the space. They have a bunch of tiny wooden tables and diner style seating. Not sure if it's because they are just starting but they are still using paper menus and plastic cups but owner should've invested in this instead of bringing groups. Soda machine located inside. Food: not bad but you can find same or better and cheaper at other marisco joints. I'm sure the prices are high because they are trying to make this an upper scale place but they fail in making it one. read more

She took the order and we did not see her for 30 minutes i had to flag her down and she comes up with, an excuse that she put the order in but the kitchen did not get it. Buena Mesa's food is incredibly delicious! It's the perfect blend of fusion food. When I was there, I got the 16oz ribeye steak which was very flavorful. Though rice is a basic food item, their rice was exceptional. The owner made sure to come around and say hi and tend to all the guests in the restaurant. He's very humble and you can tell that he genuinely loves his restaurant and loves people. I will definitely be back soon to try other items on the menu. I heard the Torre Ribeye is one of their most popular dishes and was once featured on the Food Network. Must come back for that one! read more

Seriously!!!..I'm not one to complain, but this place gave me a good reason to do so. I seen the ahi tuna plate picture on Yelp so I figured I'd give this place a try. Let's start with how all went wrong from the beginning, the water was served without any ice (keep in mind is summer and a little ice would have been refreshing).. then, my plate arrived to my table and it was a sad sad view.. for $23 a sorry excuse of ahi tuna sashimi.. there were 10 paper thin and I mean paper thin pieces.... at this moment I called the waitress and showed her the picture in yelp and I explained that this was the reason I decided to try this place.. she took it back and after a little while she brought another plate that looked a little better than the last one... but, my sister tried it and she said it was way too sour... (also my thought).. I'm guessing retaliation for sending the plate back.. at this moment I'm thinking Mcdonnals would have been a better choice.. Decided to give this place a try tonight as we walked in we were greeted And seated right away, they brought us waters and chips with salsa. 10 minutes passed by and we were still waiting for a waitress?! A friend and I hit this spot about a week ago. I'll keep it short and simple. This place is a must try!!! They have unique combinations that are freaking mouth watering just to look at. If my memory serves me we had the Tacos Anaheim which were freaking delicious!!! We also tried the Camarones Roca and also the La Roca tower and those items were also tasty as hell! I also got the chance to meet the owner (Ralph) super cool person, his passion for his restuarant and the quality of food he serves is apparent in the first 5 minutes of being greeted. This location has had many restaurants come and go due to the fact it can be easily missed when driving by but I truly believe this place will be here for as long as the owner wants to keep it going. Took my husband here for fathers day. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and everything was fine we anticipated we would love the place and enjoy our time. They had no lobster or steak which is the only reason we took my husband here. Tried to make the best of it and ordered what was available. We waited over an hour and never received any food. At this point other customers who had arrived after us were eating and leaving because they were done with their food. After complaining the owner assured us he would personally ensure we got our food, kindly gave me a free drink and apologized. We thought things were going to get better as we slowly began to get some of the plates we ordered. Thankfully my husband and kids received their food and ate. Sadly the owner did not keep his word and I never received my food or even an explanation as to why the food never came out after 2 1/2 hours in the restaurant. As we waited and waited for our bill, given that everyone in our party had ate and saw no point in continueing to wait for one plate. We over here the table next us complain they also never received some of their food or even an explanation. The waitresses seemed stressed and frustrated. They were trying their best to do 100 things at once. The owner should have stepped up and helped his employees deal with the fathers day rush. It is not their fault that HE choose to under staff and not prepare himself with enough food. Even though he has spent weeks advertising his restaurant on social media for fathers day. If you want a restaurant that does not social distance their guest, doesnt wipe down menus after each use (or use 1 time use menus to completely avoid recontamination), only picks up dishes from tables but doesnt wipe down tables or seats after guest leave, and only a portion of your guest will receive their food and the rest must stare and wait awkwardly as no one acknowledges the fact that their food is missing. Just had dinner with my fam. My wife's shrimp cocktail was off the chain good flavor no need to add more lemon or salt the way it comes it's lit. My daughter got a fries and fried fish which was pretty good as well good flavoring not dry nice and crispy and that's the only reason why I'm giving it a 4 star.... my plate wasn't good I got the shrimp with garlic flavoring, it was 2 buttery 2 much garlic I literally put 2 servings of lemon to give it some good flavoring and it still didn't do the job lol. The customer service at this place is terrible, we got there and they took 25 minutes for a waiter to come and take our order, no chips and salsa was serve at the time of waiting.......... if I don't get up and request for someone to come to our table it would of taken longer, waiters are very un organized, my food was super salty I couldn't even enjoy it, I had to return it and they were able to refund me my money back. The food took a very long time to get to us. My total experience was not what I was expecting, am not a local I drove 1 hr to get to this place, and honestly regret the drive and my time that I spend at this location.
